The korean fried chicken and the fries with the cheese powder were so good! We were happy that they gave us generous sprinkles of the cheese powder. The portion size for the chicken was just enough for 3 adults. The secret sauce wasn't spicy to us so next time, I'll get the spicy instead. The server was super friendly, welcoming and hospitable!! My only downside with the experience was that they used all disposable dishwares. Didn't really love the styrofoam cups if i could be honest. Also, it would've been nice to have bin to discard the bones since that's pretty common thing you'll find at korean fried chicken places. read more

My daughter ordered toekbokki using DoorDash. It took so long that a few dashers didn't want to wait so it got delivered after a bit over an hour. For one dish, that's crazy. According to her, and I did sample it, the rice cakes were chewy and sauce was flavorful and spicy. I thought it wasn't enough for 16$+ door dash fee, but she thought it was comparable to other places, but not as good as Mama Noodle who didn't offer door dash. We may go back and try their chicken since that's getting good reviews; however, the increased prices are a turn off. We took a star off for the wait and price. read more

Have only ordered to go but staff was friendly. I'll preface that wings here are probably not your everyday wing shop stop. Three 16-wing orders will put you back $100! That said, my go to order is the Soy Garlic and Honey Garlic Wings. They're crispy, juicy, not over sauced and cooked perfectly. I love the pickled radish though be forewarned if you're not used to them. They will stink but trust me. They taste better than they smell. One important note about Korean wings: since they're double-fried, the bones will break and splinter pretty easily so BE VERY CAREFUL about giving them to younger kids unmonitored. Other items I've tried and while good, not what I would drive here to get (especially with how expensive the wings are). Traditional Original: Reminds of me Hooters wings a little. A bit too plain for me and while they're good, the flavored wings are why I come here. Boneless wings - Tried a couple and while they're good, not worth the price. But we do get these for the younger kiddoes. Secret sauce wings: I'd skip these. Flavor isn't bad, but way over-sauced and the wings are borderline soggy. Got take out yesterday and they stayed crispy for at least thirty minutes that it took to get home in traffic! We got boneless with the soy garlic and honey garlic sauces - both phenomenal. Also got a side of honey garlic sauce for dipping fries in. Sauce was great - fries are nothing to write home about but decent. Don't California our Texas!!! After leaving the store, I called them because I though they mis-charged me, but the lady confirmed that BB.Q locations are trying to streamline their stores to match California and NY pricing and menus...I realize that BB.Q is a franchise and each location will operate slightly different or offer different items on their menu, but it's really frustrating as a regular customer to suddenly be surprised with changes in their menu in terms of their pricing and quantity!...and they revamped their menu while back too...had a frustrating phone conversation with the manager at the Bellaire Chinatown location too, and her staff were adamant that there wasn't any changes to the name of their spicy original wings - it used to be called BB Wings but they changed the name to Spicy Original and took off the word "BB"... Okay, fast forward to this past weekend: I place the order for carry-out so I was not aware that they changed their pricing and menu three weeks ago! They did not mention the changes to me over the phone and when I saw the bill afterwards, my jaw was open and I was livid! Heads up! Their medium is now a small, and their large is now the medium, and now they've added a "large" 24 pc wing for $45 !!! And their medium is now 16 pcs for $31!!! So not only did they raise their prices, they also completely added another size to their menu...no notice to the public...so to my surprise for what I thought I was ordering which was a $16 box and a $27 box, now combined with a waffle fries order, I paid $89.85 including tax!!!! for what I though was going to be around $60.... That's a $30 difference! THEN, they have the audacity to give me stale, old waffle fries that had been sitting out all day and weren't even hot when I opened them right away in the car...they were not edible so we just threw the entire container away...what a waste and a disappointment. For the final cherry on top, the cashier was wrapping up assisting a customer in front of me, and once she was done, she saw me standing there with my card in my hand ready to pay, and she completely ignores me, goes back to the kitchen, twice, might I add and then grabs a pitcher of water and proceeds to try and refill waters at the table, and I had to stop her and let her know that my order was ready and that I was ready to pay for my to-go order. To make matters worse, the other female staff who told me my order was ready, was standing next to her behind the register and didn't even bother to help me either...all in all, my whole experience was terrible! Very disappointing!!! Management really needs to step up their game here, or the franchise owner just needs to do better! Be there! Take pride in your franchise location! I'm be gone to this location a number of years and up until recently this was a great place. The last two times I've been here have been less than adequate. The service is always helpful and the people behind the counter are friendly. The place is always clean but lately the food hasn't been the same quality as my previous visits. The wings themselves have been much much smaller than they used to be and the quality of the chicken isn't the same. The sauces they use have changed a little as well. This time I got the soy garlic and they came out quite dark. Usually the they were coated in a. Light color soy that didn't hide the flavors of the chicken but lately it's been darker and much more salty. The same issue with their secret sauce. The wings were overcooked and the secret sauce wasn't quite the same. Perhaps the size change of the wings are causing them to be overcooked as the cooks keep them on a timer. I may have to move to a different location and test there as well. Disappointed in the lowkey changes as I'd rather pay a little more to keep the quality than eat something subpar. No pics for now. The past few times I've come, I've gotten the Chicken Mayo Rice Bowl.. it's an exceptional value with how much food they give you, at a great price. You can pick any spice/flavor for your chicken.. I picked Gangjeong which was delicious. For a little extra kick of spice, I asked for a side of sweet & spicy sauce.. delicious flavor that took it from a 5 spicy to a 7.5 spicy.. perfect. This has to be my favorite Korean fried chicken spot! Their chicken never disappoint at all. Even if you order to go and drive for 20 minutes . The chicken is still super crispy . I'm still amazed how crispy it is still when it's steaming inside a box for 20 minutes . The soy garlic is my go to sauce for the chicken wings . Also the original is also very good as well . Service was fast and efficient. It is not really a place to dine in it's more of a go and grab and eat at home. I also got the rice cake they were okay. Nothing great I'll give the rice cake 3/5 . This is the best fried chicken I have found. Yea it's a chain but the chicken alone stands against anything I have had in ATL and NOLA. The spicy crispy is still the best. The chicken is the most luscious and beautiful thing I have put in my mouth. The cashier is very nice, especially during non-busy hours. He would be very welcoming and let us use the TV remote to watch YouTube. Very welcoming and the food is delicious. I will say the chicken is good but the tobboki isn't worth the price. I am a loyal lover of BB.Q, however my experience yesterday left the most awful taste for this establishment. I am completely disgusted by my experience with my pick up order. I expressed during my call for specifics to my food, the associate over the phone stated there would be not problem. When I arrived and was not satisfied with the quality of my food I requested further attention to my concern. The associate was atrociously rude, making faces at my request that were belittling and completely embarrassing. His responses were condescending in general. Ordered from bb.q Chicken several times. Every flavor I have tried has been hot and fresh. The Gangnam Style, Wings of Fire, Spicy Mala, and Spicy Galbi are all good. The Carribean Jerk wings however do not have enough heat for my taste, but generally have good flavor. Although the wings are large, the prices are on the high side especially considering you cannot even order more than one flavor on large orders. read more
