An order is either wings OR leg & thigh (no breasts). Perfect! I love dark meat! My favorite sauce is the Garlic Soy which tastes a bit like General Tso sauce. I've had the French fries & Coleslaw for side items (they dont have vegetables) but the main focus is the chicken. I use this place as a to-go spot but they do have some tables for dine-in. There are lots of tables and chairs inside the establishment, as well as two tables outside on the sidewalk area (it is a tight fit and people will be squeezing by you to get into the store from the parking lot). We ordered the 10 piece wings in hot honey and spicy soy, per recommendation of the manager/owner. The wings were really big and so flavorful! There was a good kick to the spicy soy and both were wet sauces. The wings took about 17 mins to make, but were well worth the wait. I would definitely order both flavors again, but really liked the hot honey the best. You could hear the crisp of the wings each time you took a bite. Very disappointed with my experience at CM Chicken. I was pretty excited to try this place in Texas given that I have tried other locations across the country. When we first entered, the smell of the restaurant was not pleasant, something like dirty water being used to clean the place. We went to the cashier to place our order and felt that he was not well versed with the menu and was confused with what we were trying to order. We ended up getting the 10 tenders, half w/ garlic spicy with snow sauce, and the other half w/ soy garlic. Lastly, we ordered the rose tteokbokki. The rose tteokbokki was sad. When it came out, the tteokbokki pieces were the smallest rice cakes I have ever been served in a restaurant and there was very little of it. Tasting it, I could tell that it was prepackaged rose tteokbokki that was most likely microwaved prepared. Many of the rice cakes were undercooked. The curry sauce tasted sour, borderline rancid. Keeping in mind that I have tried other CM Chicken's, this did not taste on brand. The spicy garlic sauce was fine. We brought it up to the management telling them of our concerns with the tteokbokki being undercooked and the curry sauce tasting sour. They offered to re-prepare the rose tteokbokki and the curry sauce chicken but we opted to just change to garlic soy. When the rose tteokbokki came out for a second time, it was definitely overdone in the microwave. The rice cakes were dried out, leathery, and overdone. For $14, it was the tiniest serving I have ever seen from a Korean restaurant, and we could've gone to hmart and gotten a better version for less. The garlic soy sauce was okay, but tasted watered down/diluted compared to what I've had before at other chains. My friends and I were very disappointed with CM chicken at Richmond, and definitely won't be coming back. read more

I've been wanting to try this place and I'm glad I finally did! The wings are crispy, juicy, tender, and flavorful. Fried to perfection. The mala fries were definitely crispy as well, and the sauce they put on it adds a nice touch. The portion of the fries were a little small however, but they hit the spot. It's a small place somewhat tucked away where there's not much traffic, but I'd love to see this restaurant get more exposure. The air inside felt okay, the AC blowing felt a little humid so I wasn't too sure what that was about. Service was quick - you just order at the front, find a seat, and they bring it out to you hot and fresh. I did not care for this place at all. First, the restaurant had this odor that comes from rotten water when mopping. The food took too long to be served. Seating is very very limited. If u go with a big family, good luck trying to rearrange the few tables. We got the tenders in couple of flavors. Garlic spicy and garlic soy sauce Average at best. I LOVE this franchise solely for their onion chicken. To all my peeps who thinks get flavor fatigue from KFC after a few pieces and my onion lovers - this is the place to be. Each piece of chicken alone is battered and seasoned very well - the fry is crispy and thin but not crunchy or dry. I am in LOVEEEE with the Snow Onion. It is a MUST because it cuts down on the greasyness of the food and helps brighten up your meal so you can keep going. The sauce is like a sweetened aioli and pairs so well with the thinly sliced onion. If you want something more savory the Padak Soy is just soy garlic wings topped with spring onion. The chicken came out SUPER hot but I couldn't even wait and ate through the pain. yummy and Alina were so sweet and helpful, the service was amazing Note: At this location, snow onions and the spring onions in Padak soy is considered an add on for $2 :/ also keep in mind the snow onion chicken will get soggy after 10 mins so either ask for sauce on the side or eat it quick! Got the chance to try @cmchickenhtx, a new restaurant in the area. this is a Korean Style fried chicken spot. They have many different sauce options, and all are very unique and very different from other fried check spots. We ordered the wings in multiple different sauces, Garlic Soy, Mala, Hot Honey, Garlic Spicy, and Red Hot Pepper, also ordered Leg & Thigh in Garlic Soy Sauce. first off, the crispyness of the chicken was on point, just perfection. and for the sauces I honestly enjoyed them all, favorites would be the Garlic Spicy which was very flavorful, Red Hot Pepper had a kick to it, Hot Honey was also very interesting initially sweet with a kick at the end. The Leg & Thigh was good aswell but just an FYI trying to eat a thigh piece drenched in sauce gets a little messing, going forward I will stick to the wings or tenders. Great first impression! CM Chicken recently opened and thought I'd check them out. Best decision of the day, because the chicken was great. Only got to check out two flavors but the CM Original is very well seasoned and perfectly crispy. The Garlic Soy may be favorite of the two samples. The sauce is not overpowering and doesn't take away the crispy texture, just a great complement seasoned thighs. The place is new, clean, has tons of parking, and a super simple menu. We were with my 7-year-old niece and 3-year-old nephew, and while we don't expect a kid menu, we do expect a place to be at least somewhat family-friendly. My niece *lives* for fried chicken--specifically leg pieces, not just the usual tenders most kids go for. But the smallest way to get legs here was a 5-piece mix of legs and thighs. That's a lot for one kid, and you can't mix flavors--so we had to go all mild just so the kids could eat. No way to get spicy for the adults unless we ordered a whole separate set. We ended up getting the leg/thigh mix, some tenders, and a chicken sandwich combo. Not a huge order. Welp--they forgot the chicken sandwich. And water? Gotta buy it. Which I'm used to at hookah spots, but at a regular restaurant? That just feels greedy. Like they're not here to take care of guests, just to keep folks moving and paying. Now to the food--the flavors were good. We tried the hot honey, garlic spicy, and cheese monsters. All solid, though the "spicy" wasn't all that spicy for a two-pepper rating. The size of the chicken is definitely nothing to scuff at and while we did have to wait for about 15 minutes for our chicken, it was well worth the crispy and juicy bite we got in return! My favorite was definitely the Mep Snow, which is a sweet and hot sauce that saves most of its kick in the after burn. But its so absolutely delicious that I kept coming back for another bite despite my cramping stomach. The Curry is also very delicious and the first time I have seen this as an option in KFC. It's a perfect compliment to the spicy Mep Snow but by the end, I was feeling overwhelmed by the sweetness. My biggest gripe with this restaurant is that they only serve bottled drinks, even water. So I feel like it was a cheap shot to force everyone to buy drinks when they serve hot and spicy KFC. Very disappointing had to drive back and return my meal. Chicken was not crispy, fries were cold. I got the 10 piece wings with fries which was a little pricey in my opinion at $25. The garlic soy and hot honey flavors. On first open of my containers the sight was underwhelming. Sauce sat at the bottom of the container and didn't look like the chicken had been thoroughly tossed and coated. The garlic soy had nice flavor but it almost was as if they gave me an extra mistake order they had been waiting to use. The under side of almost all 5 pieces of the chicken was mushy or had visible skin! I could slide my finger and the breading was soggy and came off with me just swiping through. Some pieces like the flats barely had breading and I was pulling chewy fat out of my mouth. The hot honey was just simply sweet with a small after thought of spice. The crisp was definitely better overall than the other flavor but some wings without much breading were still there. How does that happen at a fried chicken joint.. just visible skin. I only decided to try due to positive reviews and I had confidence a dedicated Korean fried chicken spot would satisfy my craving for some solid well friend chicken with a flavorful sauce. On top of that my mala fires were cold! I had to bring my original fries back in because they gave me regular. I made sure to inquire and double check if they made them extra crispy like I specified during ordering and they assured me they cooked longer. I noticed the container wasn't hot on the exterior, but I was going to just deal with it. However, when I got in my car and opened them to start eating, to my dismay, they just topped off the fries I brought back in with a cold sauce dampening the whole experience. Who wants cold sauce on lukewarm fries? Not pleasant. Mind you the flavor was great but if I'm leaving a restaurant the container my fries are in should be hot, at least warm to the touch! So after a few minutes the fries too were soggy. I got back to work across the street and realized I didn't want to suffer through the meal enduring my disappointment. I called and complained to the manager who was very nice understanding and accommodating. They offered to remake but I didn't have another 20 min to wait and honestly was feeling I would've been better off keeping it simple with Popeyes. I showed him the soggy chicken bottoms and he promptly gave a refund which was appreciated. He told me the mala sauce is kept cold. I wanted to treat myself to a nice crispy and saucy fried chicken meal. Real foodies know a good, quality deep fried seasoned chicken in a tasty sauce can be a rare find. My brother, who was shipping out with the military, wanted to try this restaurant before leaving. What should have been a special dinner turned into a complete disaster and the worst mistake we could have made. From the moment we walked in, the staff showed zero professionalism. There were only a few people at the front, yet instead of being greeted, we were met with blank stares as if we were a burden. When we finally got to the counter, we were told the Wi-Fi was down and they "didn't know" if they could take orders. How do you not know? Either you can or you can't. Instead of communicating clearly or showing any effort to help, they gave us attitude and dismissive looks. When we asked if we could place a cash order, the young lady at the front acted as if we were asking for something outrageous, and the so-called "manager" made it worse. He came over visibly annoyed, rolled his eyes at us, and reluctantly agreed to take the order, all while making it clear we were an inconvenience. His nasty attitude set the tone for the entire experience. We paid and then waited far too long for our food, only to watch a couple who ordered after us (and with more items) receive their meals before we did. That alone shows how little care or organization this place has. When our food finally came, it was bland, poorly prepared, and absolutely not worth the wait. The fact that the food was bad on top of everything else was insulting. To make matters worse, we couldn't ignore how customers of the same race as the staff were treated with warmth and priority service, while we were ignored and dismissed. That kind of selective treatment is unacceptable and disgusting in any business, especially in hospitality. This restaurant is a prime example of why not everyone should be in this industry. If you don't want to put in the effort, if you can't treat every customer with respect, and if you can't manage basic operations, you shouldn't be open. The management is a joke, the staff is unprofessional, and the food isn't even good enough to make up for the experience.
