I've been coming here for years, but unfortunately the quality of both the food and customer service has declined significantly. I do want to recognize the young woman working today--she was friendly, professional, and provided great customer service. The gentleman that was working with her today 5/30 at 2pm was not. He was rude to her and the customers. My biggest concern is the lack of respect shown to customers and, at times, to your own staff. Long-time customers notice these things, and it affects the overall experience. With Gyro Hut opening next door, I'll be taking my business there instead. It's disappointing because this used to be one of my regular spots, but the recent decline in quality and service has made me look elsewhere. read more

Listen!!! They have a forever customer out of me. We were looking for something clean to eat, and my usual spot is temporarily closed (sad face ). A simple Google search brought us here... and I'm so glad it did. We walked in and the man behind the counter was super friendly. We asked a bunch of questions, and he patiently explained what comes with what, what tastes better, and gave great recommendations overall. They have a screen playing behind the counter showing all the food they offer, and one dish in particular caught my eye. I decided to take a chance on it, some kind of chicken and lamb situation (don't ask me the exact name ). All I know is... it was GOOD. And listen... pickles and jalapeños in the dish?! WHO thought of that? Two of my favorite things, just casually added? Wow. Genius. Oh, and the bread... pita? Flatbread? I don't even know the proper name, but GET EXTRA if you can. It was soooo good. I fully planned on going back on Christmas Eve but they had already closed at 6 (another sad face ), so we had to settle for something far less tasty. All in all, this is officially my NEW favorite Mediterranean restaurant. I'll definitely be back, probably sooner than later. read more

Very disappointed today . Instead of making my order fresh , they decided to give me someone else's order that's probably been sitting for a while . I took the first bite and sure enough it was cold ... I'm not going to go out of my way to go back so I'm stuck eating it since it's my dinner . Not only that it was cold , there was no red sauce over . I've been coming here for many years but today was disappointing . The food was pretty good. I liked the variety of veggies that come on the salad. The cauliflower and bell peppers I hadn't had before but enjoyed the crunch factor. The service was quick and efficient. I liked that they had other things there too like the dessert cooler and the water ice (shaved ice)cups. They also did fresh juice which was nice to see at a smaller casual spot. The lamb was a little saltier than I would have preferred but that was the first day. It was good, not blow me away good, but good. A combo over rice with the fries and drink were more than enough for two people. The white and red sauce were delicious, and a little necessary for the dry chicken. The lamb was good. I was a little confused as to the veggie add ons- Olives? Corn? Why? Terrible experience. We purchased 3 lamb over rice platters and 1 had a hair in the food and the other 2 were very small portions compared to what we usually get. We called that night and spoke to manager Brian who promised to "make it right" if we returned, but when we did, it turned into a huge argument between him and my husband. Instead of apologizing and resolving the issue, he became defensive and confrontational. Customers deserve respect, especially when there's a legitimate complaint about food safety. We will not be coming back. Gyro King was a choice and we were not looking for a free meal and that's exactly how we were made to feel. I do not recommend this place. 1st time I placed an order online on THEIR website gyrokingtx.com I went in and they said they couldn't find it. I had to reorder it and wait for my food and this was months ago. I ordered again today at 9 pm and the order was supposed to be ready by 9:17, and yet again they couldn't find my order. After waiting 10 mins I asked about it and they were like oh what did you order? They weren't trying to figure it out or solve the problem they were just waiting for me to say something and taking multiple guests ahead of me. Now its 9:45 and im still waiting on my food. 0 stars if I could! It's amazing how one year later, they have improved. Food taste clean, satisfying, and fresher vegetables. Social distancing and clean inside. The guys are always friendly and helpful. What I do like is that they add a lot of veggies and chickpeas to their combo rice meals! Meat is always tender and vegetables are always fresh. I typically request no olives and pickles because I don't think they go well with the dish.
