While out in the Richmond/Grand Parkway area my wife and I were hungry and wanted to try a new places. Saw this place Wayback Burgers in a retail center and said let's give it a shot! Khoi the cashier greeted us and we told him it was our first time there! We gave a couple of papers with the menu on them. He ask if we had any questions he be able to help us! We asked for any suggestions and he told us the number one choice was the A-1 Steak Double Burger! So we ordered 2, one with cheese curds and one with onion rings and 2 Coke zeros! Khoi said it would take about 10 minutes to get fresh and hot meals out. It was about 10 minutes and Khoi brought out our food. Fresh, Hot and looked oh so good! The burgers double patty's were like smash burgers on a potato bun. Hot and juicy with cheese that was melted. Cheese Curds were hot and cheesy, but a little salty. The onion rings were hot and just the right amount of batter and with a whole onion inside. Fountain Coke Zeros were a good drink from the fountain dispenser. Everything was great, service, food and drinks! We will be back again! So if your in the area please stop by and try for yourself!

Not a bad little spot. Prices are comparable to so some other multiple men chains. This however is a fun "nod" to a burger from a TX chain. Is it exact? No but it's a good compromise. Tried the Steakhouse burger with A1. Quite tasty and nostalgic. Service was prompt and friendly. Overall the A1 burger is enough for me to return.

Just outside Houston ( you can't tell it's one huge metropolis) is Richmond. Looking for something quick to eat when I spotted Wayback Burgers A recent franchise that seems to be popping up everywhere,I decided to check it out. I went for an inexpensive combo," The Rodeo" just as an introduction. The place is clean and " Corporate" well layed out with easy menu. While my Rodeo combo was lacking( think basic fast food burger) the rest of the menu seemed more promising. Till next time...

Nasty pricey food. For the price, the burger patties were ridiculously small. I paid nearly $12 for a specialty burger and expected a much more substantial burger. The photos on the menu made it look much bigger than what was served. I left feeling disappointed and don't think the value matches the cost.

First time visiting since their recent opening and walked away unimpressed. I really like the restaurant's dining room decor, the staff was very friendly and helpful with the "build your own" options. So I ordered a single with fries selecting my choice of condiments and toppings. The prices were reasonable but my burger was just ordinary. Obviously, the key ingredient on a burger is the beef patty and their's was completely without seasoning. There was no char that would have come from a hot grill. I did love the build your own option and I'm willing to return to check out other sandwiches.

HALAL burgers , there are halal certificates on site

If you really want to taste the juiciness of the beef patty, you're better off ordering straight meat and cheese- The Cheeesy Burger aka the Patty melt. The classic burger was okay (3/5) but the ketchup/mustard combo overpowered the flavor of the meat. Their fries are crispy, but the flavor reminded me of kettle potato chips so if that's your thing, you're going to love it. Nothing special about the tater tots either. Fair warning- it's hot inside, like a sauna. It's a greasy bite in a warm place. Huge plus is the all the meat options, with the exception of the bacon, is HALAL. the beef, the chicken all halal. They've got certificates to prove it too. Management stressed that they make sure there's no cross contamination at any point between the pork and halal meat. It's a good option for those craving a quick burger in aliana / Richmond.

I've tried the crispy chicken sandwich cajun, and I thought it was alright but the chicken texture was a bit rough . The cheese curds and fries were also ok. Overall, I think the food is greasy. I had ordered to go, and it took some time to get the food ready. Last time I tried the impossible burger and the limited time brownie shake, and those were pretty good.

Kizzy the manager helped me with the order. The decor is modern, and this place is really clean. The burger was tasty, the bacon a little salty. The onion rings were a little greasy. I would try it again because the burger was really good, minus the bacon.

Went to @waybackburgers for the first time and I was impressed, enjoyed my meal their. we tried the Ghost Pepper Burger and the Cajun. beef was perfectly seasoned and cooked, the Ghost Pepper Burger was not hot, but just had a little kick to it, plus the Jalapeños were a perfect compliment to the burger. overall a great experience definitely will be back

The service was good, nothing that stood out. The setting was they of a new establishment with a rush to try the newest place in the area. Now the food, it was cold, tasteless, and not how it looks in the pictures. The fries, onion rings, and cheese curds cold as if they were sitting over the fryers waiting for the next order. The owner didn't greet patrons, however sat speaking with family. I literally had high hopes for this place since it's a new area for development, however if this is the standard, I'd rather starve.

The Classic burger was good! Onion rings and fries were also good and served hot. The lady who took our order was attentive and did get our order right. Place was clean and tidy. Will definitely come back and try other stuff in the menu.

    DOUBLE BACON BURGER combo

Decided to try out a new burger spot. Read some reviews but decided to try it for myself. I enjoyed my bacon double burger. The meat is fresh and you can see them cook from a window, the staff is super friendly, and over all I would honestly have to say this place is definitely worth a stop. They limited seating inside but it is very clean. I definitely coming back to it.

    Double Beef Bacon Burger

I tried wayback burger and it's definitely better than fast food burger places for sure but it does need to improve on some very important things. I had cheese curds and while they tasted great (they're better without the seasoning) they do need to give you some ranch or marinara sauce to dip them in; they're a bit pricey but still good. Their onion rings were perfect and I have no complaints about them. Their beef bacon is great as well. However, for some reason their beef was too soft, unseasoned, and small. idk if they undercooked the beef but the patty didn't seem to have much flavor so they definitely need to fix that and increase the size of the beef patty. Their burger bun is ok but I feel like they could find a better one that isn't so soft. Their chipotle mayo didn't have much flavor either. They have some core things they need to address but if they do I can see them being a competitive burger spot. Even with all the aforementioned improvements they need to make, they're still better than your average fast food burger place like McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's, Whataburger, etc.

We had originally planned on trying out their buffet, but we showed up a bit too late where there were only bits of food left, and they weren't planning on refilling the buffet, so, we decided to stay anyway and to order off the menu..... and we're all glad we did! The interior is very spacious, casual, and clean.... and having shown up so late, there was no crowd, the place was peaceful and calm, and a great time for us to enjoy our meal.. with very good service focused only on us. I'm typically not familiar with Nepalese food, but perusing the menu, the dishes offered looked almost exactly like a typical Indian restaurant's menu, except there were some additional hybrid Indian/Chinese dishes, like the Momo dumplings that are typical and popular dish familiar to this Nepali region. Fortunately, there were four of us dining in and we were able to order a variety of dishes that sounded really yummy..... like the Steamed Chicken Momos (dumplings), Gobi Manchurian (fried cauliflower coated in a spicy sweet sauce), Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Goat Curry, Lamb Curry, Saag Paneer, Lachna Paratha, and Garlic Naan. How was the food? I don't eat lamb or goat so I can't comment, but the others in the group mentioned the meat was a bit tough, but the curries tasted excellent. As for everything else, I did get to try it all, and everything was so hot, fresh, and prepared just perfectly.... so yummy delicious! Not too sweet, not to salty, and just a great balance of flavors and textures. My all time favorite Indian dish being the saag paneer....pureed spinach with cubes of goat cheese....yummeee! And went great with the breads fresh out of the oven..... very happy and satisfied! This place was a great find as we all enjoyed the food here very much. Service was very good, and with a very nice, casual, and pleasant ambiance. We don't visit here very often since we're from our of town, but if we do visit again, we'll definitely be back again.

We ain't in Queens anymore…read more For years, I've eaten on Shah's all around the borough, initially out in Ozone Park and Briarwood before finding a real audience in Sunnyside. Now that they've sufficiently blown up around NYC, I was a bit shocked (and excited) to see them finally come to H-Town. What's the verdict? It's good enough to pass muster for NY standards (#1), is open super late, and will likely be my go-to Halal food for the foreseeable future. Since I've only had it in cart form, I'm still a buggin over the fact it's become a franchise. It's similar to my shock of eating Halal Guys at a store for the first time. The digs feel as foreign (prices, large, clean and bright interior) as it does familiar (taste, logo, etc.). Even though I had a laugh seeing the wall photo-mural of a Shah's cart in Times Square, I did appreciate the nod to Ozone Park with the 121st & Liberty street signs. The chicken + lamb combo platter ($12) is and always will be the winner. The lamb had the same kind of seasoning that most Halal spots out here try to replicate but can never get right. The rice was fluffy, and the white sauce was easily the highlight. I can understand why they've decided to bottle it up and sell it as liquid gold. It makes every meal better. Kofta ($12) and chapli ($13) are rarely my favorites, but I knew I had both in platter form. The addition of adding chickpeas and these other salads is not something I'm used to from the carts (#2) but I loved the fact it was drowned in the white sauce with a dash of hot sauce. The latter is supposedly extremely hot, but I didn't find it that spicy. While I have to say the cheeseburger was a bit of a disappointment (overly bready, thin patty), the pakora chips and french fries were fabulous. They were perfectly seasoned, had a nice crisp, and frankly would be an excellent, gut-busting addition to any platter. I don't love the extra charge, but I hope they remain consistent with it. This store location in Westchase along Westheimer is an up and coming part of town. There are numerous Middle Eastern businesses in the adjacent area, along with an abundance of parking spots and a good amount of late night activity. Service was friendly but I do hope they keep their standards up. As time goes on, I'm 100% convinced this will be a destination for the many late night meal seekers and fans of NY nostaligia. __________ (#1) Which automatically supersedes a lot of the ones here in Houston. Just keeping it real. (#2) Is the chickpeas a Houston thing? Genuinely curious.

Sadly, it closed shortly after my visit. But I read in the reviews that this was formerly a Burrito District, so I didn't even realize this was the former Ori'Zaba's until I walked in. So apparently this spot has struggled to keep one concept for whatever reason. The interesting thing about Wise Street Eats is that you can opt to build a healthy bowl with Greek inspirations, or you can do what I did and order the Dirty Mac bowl with fried chicken, mac-n-cheese and cajun fries. I'm a real sucker when restaurants put "Most Popular" on their menu, which made my decision to order this, a quick one. What I will say is that, while I enjoyed the Dirty Mac, in retrospect, I would have preferred if it was a side dish, rather than my entire meal, because it was quite heavy (as one would expect). About halfway through it, I realized I was going to have to bring the energy to take down this valiant opponent. Next time, I'll build a bowl. Or maybe even go with a burger. But I do appreciate the dirty mac and if I was still a man who got hungover, I'd consider it a pretty elite hangover remedy.
