I ordered a couple dozen of the fresh, glazed rings, and a couple dozen assortment of other donuts. Service was fast and friendly, and everything I delivered to my clients for our meeting was fresh and well appreciated. If you're looking for Krispy Kreme's, this location is excellent. If you're just looking for donuts and you have never experienced Krispy Kreme, I recommend if you start with this one you will get the best of the brand.

The two young employees at the counter looked at each other, made a cringing face, and reluctantly said it was one free donut per person. Since my family was inside finishing the donuts we had already purchased, I asked for three. Even as a retired military service member, I'm not someone who goes around asking for free things, and I approached the situation politely. I appreciated the donuts, this was never about the money. What made the interaction worse was that the heavier‑set young lady flicked the box with her finger as she handed it over, which came across as dismissive and unnecessary. The product was good, but the interaction left a bitter taste nonetheless. If the company policy is to offer free donuts during the Hot Light as a way to bring people in, then employees should be able to provide them without making customers feel uncomfortable. They aren't paying for the donuts out of their own pockets, and their reaction sends the wrong message to guests who are simply following the promotion the company advertises. The donuts were great, as always, but the customer service in this instance needs attention.

While other donut shops specialize in cake donuts, Yoder's focuses more on the raised style. They have several kinds of donuts to choose from, including their "classic" menu (vanilla, maple, cinnamon sugar), as well as their signature menu (turtle, cinnamon toast crunch, maple bacon, Bavarian creme filled.) If you want HUGE donuts, you can also get the food truck size. Be warned though, those are big! I ordered 6 donuts so I could try a little bit of everything. It was this latter where Texas stands out: they can fill it with a variety of fillings using a machine on every stoners wish list: it injects the donut with flavors. Donuts have that progression, from air filled Krispy Kreme, to dense cake donuts, and used hockey pucks left over from 1987 Duncan Donuts. I like the airy kind, not so much as Krispy because that's too thin, but something with heft, but air pockets. Texas rides the line between pockets of air and density, and what it tasted like is that they had been airy at one point, but those pockets collapsed on themselves creating a hybrid airy/dense donut. Tasty, but not top of my list. That spot still belongs to Duck Donuts. It's possible the Texas donuts I had were sitting out a bit, or the creme filling caused a collapse of the internal donut structure. I'm not sure but I will go back to try the denser varieties to be sure. Very nice employees, calm and clean interior. Parking is tough, on a hill in tight spots, or down around the hill and climb some stairs.
