I stopped by this Kohl's over the weekend to check out their Christmas decorations and just the store in general. I was already in the plaza and was waiting for a burger place nearby to open so I came to Kohl's to just browse. This store is just one floor but is spacious inside. The Christmas decorations are already on the entrance near the checkout station and the a Christmas trees are there too. The mens clothing is on the right side of the store, Sephora is in the middle and the women clothing are on the left side. I admit it. I am a clothing snob. You can look at the list of my favorite stores to get an idea of what I mean. And, if I could shop in Europe, that would be my first choice. But! I have come to appreciate stores like Kohl's and our local Kohl's in particular. Why? In every way, Kohl's makes getting whatever you need easy, fast, and reasonably priced. Recently, I needed an item same day and I didn't feel like going to the mall to get it. Kohl's popped into my head -- it had rarely done that in years -- so I looked at the website. Not only did they list dozens of that item in a range of price points, but they had the very ones I wanted, in the required size and color, at the local Kohl's just two miles from home. And! They had it ready for pickup in one hour at a clever cubby station for that purpose, easily accessed right inside the store. We blew in and out quickly, on a Sunday (check out the amazing hours), and were so happy with our purchase that I could have slapped myself (if I were the slapping type) for not thinking of Kohl's sooner. From now on, Kohl's is in my top shopping differential, believe me. read more

Avoiding after this. For years I used to buy the soda stream refills here until they started thinking they were $36. I still do Amazon returns sometimes, however they have a new innovation where the Amazon returns wait in the same line as purchases. I would occasionally buy something with the coupon after the Amazon return, but this is too inconvenient. read more

Placed an order for shoes online for pickup. That was easy. Came in the same night to pick them up. There was my order in a bag ready to go, all good so I thought. I checked to see that the shoes were the ones I ordered, color and size. Well they were but the problem was they were CLEARLY WORN and USED. And I'm not talking about a little dirt from walking around the store trying them on. These had some of the logo wearing off on the heel and covered in dirt. Also the shoe laces were not white. Either someone came in and swapped out their old shoes for the new ones or they accepted a return and didn't check the condition. But under no circumstances should this have been fulfilled for my order in this condition. And FWIW this is being reviewed because this is not the first time I have seen dirty, worn shoes in "new" boxes at this Kohls. I bumped up to 2 stars for the help I got in returning the order and doing a make good credit. Be warned and check the merchandise before you leave the store. read more

Ordered shoes online while in the store since they were out of stock in the store. That way I got free shipping. However, a different size shoe was in the box. So, not only did they not check inside the box before shipping, the cashier didn't know how to order a replacement without giving me the same price as on the original. Love the convenience of having a Sephora in the Kohls! The only issue is they don't always have the same products as the rest of the Sephora's, and they don't let you use your Sephora credit card there. You can charge your Kohls credit card though. Thanks to the worker for being so sweet and helpful when I was there the other day! They do offer the same sales as the rest. There's still a great selection of what's offered, hair, makeup, perfumes etc. large parking lot outside, walk in and you'll see it! Please start carrying the DAE hair line! read more

The only department store I know that always has everything on sale every week. If you get the kohl's app you'll get extra discounts as well as accumulating points to get a $5 reward. If you happen to shop here during kohls cash days you can get $10 free money every time you spend $50. They have a variety of different brands in women's, men's and kids as well as home goods and they updated the store with new displays as well as a new Sephora section. I always seem to find something in there for myself or when I'm shopping for others. Staff is always friendly and helpful and you can actually find people on the floor if you need them. I have also done returns here as well, always a smooth transaction and they do Amazon returns here too which is always quick and easy. read more

Since I had Kohl's cash to spend by a certain date, I was able to find the size and style I wanted at this store since it seems more organized than other Kohl's. The nice thing about Kohl's stores is that there is no attendant counting the number of garments you are trying on. Simply return them to the rack out front when you are through. I try on 10 things to find one that fits, so it is a real bonus. Plenty of parking is available. read more

Used to like shopping here, until loss prevention kept following me around the store, one time LP guy approached me and asked if I was doing ok, i responded yes, Are you? Can I shop in peace now?! Three times this happened to me in this location. I guess being a bald asian guy makes me look suspect‍. We had a bad experience with Carlos (bald guy) I'm not sure if that's his name but he was very pushy about self checkout to my older mother who forgot her glasses. I just witnessed the manager (Leah) berating a worker for no reason. I understand that it's "Tis' the season" and everyone is stressed but to yell at your worker in front of everyone while he's doing his job is uncalled for. The worker looks super young, maybe 16-17, I saw him trying to help everyone as much as he could. When I was in line for the self check out, Lucas (after she yelled at him, I got his name) was trying to direct other customers to the self check out. A couple of older ladies in front of me didn't know what to do and Lucas was going back and forth helping them. He was kind and super patience with them and Leah came out of nowhere and started yelling at him, asking why he wasn't asking more people to be in the self check out line. Lucas tried to answer her but she would interrupt him and wouldnt let him speak. The guy in front of me stood up for Lucas and told Leah he WAS doing his job! She didn't even acknowledge the customer and stormed away. Hard workers are sooooo hard to come by nowadays (and I can see Lucas was working hard and doing his job) I highly you recommend Leah to treat her workers better if she wants to keep her turnovers low. What I (we) witnessed was very unprofessional and unkind. That makes me want to not go back to your store by chance I might run into her again. read more

I don't know where they were lucky enough to find this guy, but nowadays it's almost impossible to get quick, kind and friendly service from such a young adult!! I've been coming to this Kohl's for years, although not recently for the last several months. But today's visit was for an exchange of Nikes my son gave me for Christmas. Love the shoes, he just miscalculated my shoe size; 11 not 10. After reading some of the nightmare reviews of the dissatisfaction with customer service here, that has never been an issue for me. What turned me away from frequenting them more often was the quality of some of the clothing I've purchased here; like buttons unraveling from my shirts, on more then one occasion, on first trying them on at home. But after searching throughout the men's shoe section, Nike products in general, I could not locate the same shoe that my son had purchased here. I was told that I could select any shoes of the same value if that was desired. But no, none were of the same liking to me as my son's original choice. Celine to the rescue! I had been directed to the kiosk to have them ordered, and on my way over this young lady intercepted me, asking if I needed some help. And after hearing my dilemma, stated that she had seen the same shoe mixed in with others. I thought I had exhausted the search, but after some 5 minutes Celine came back to where I was standing cheerfully holding the box of size 11s; the right type and color, black. What I absolutely LOVE about Kohl's is the fact that they include a receipt for online orders. Most other department stores do not. Everything goes on sale after Christmas and the other department stores hope the gift receiver has no receipt so they only get credit for the sale price. kudos to you Kohl's! read more

I went in to Kohls Valencia to return some items I purchased on Amazon. I was given a 25% off coupon on my return receipt. So I thought oh nice let me look around. I ended up finding my way over to the Levi's jean section which are on shelves at a back wall. As a naturally intuitive and perceptive person I heard overhead music stop and a certain bell sound then a pause and the music would start again as I searched for my size. Suddenly a young lady (kohl's employee) appeared by an out-of-place rack on wheels near me that randomly had bras on it and other items. She just kept slightly sliding the bras back and forth on the rack near me with there appearing to be no rhyme or reason as to why. Then it dawned on me I was actually being racially profiled shopping while black. I went up to her and asked if my coupon I received could be used in combination with the sales price. She seemed startled (probably because working in loss prevention she wasn't sure) and she quickly mumbled yes and I said ok thank you and she took off and disappeared. As if she was satisfied like oh ok she's a legit shopper. I walked around in the direction she went in and she had literally disappeared. Realizing I had just been racially profiled I put the jeans back and walked out. I will take my hard earned $$$ shopping somewhere else. Oh and did I mention I was only carrying a small-ish cross body bag in which no clothes item would even fit in the first place? Great job Kohls! You've lost a customer for life. I don't care how many future coupons come in the mail. Do a better job of profiling shoplifters other than because a customer is shopping while black. read more

I have been a Kohl's fan for the past 20 years or so. Clothes quality is great and their people are nice to deal with. Although I normally buy clothes on line from Kohl's, today I wanted to splurge and get some Aloha shirts and a pair of pants. I was there at 0900 when they opened and almost immediately on entering, Neia (I hope I am spelling this right) offered to help me and then gave me directions to the mens clothing area. I found what I wanted and saw her at checkout, then she helped me sign up for an account and reap some major savings. She was very polite and positive, just exactly the type person we all like to deal with when shopping for clothes. Yes, I will be back, since I have coupons for even more savings. read more

My son and his wife bought me a $100 gift card for my birthday. I tried using a week after and to my surprise someone else used it at the Northridge location. Who else could it have been other than a store associate who had access to the receipt with the card number? They manually entered the gift card number which should have been a red flag and should have never been allowed by the cashier unless they were in it. It was so sad. I was heartbroken because I love shopping at kohl's. Please don't ever purchase gift cards from Kohl's. It's so sad how store employees rip off customers like that. I called to complain but got an email back saying they couldn't do anything about it. Shame on you Kohl's! I asked for them to do internal investigation but refused. I'm not a big fan of shopping in Kohls in general as i find their offerings sparse in selection. But, a number of my family choose things from Kohls, and so i find myself shopping here fairly frequently. My biggest gripe about shopping here is the checkout process. I HATE shopping here because i know i will HAVE to check out, and i know that will take a big chunk of time to do. I have never had a time here where the checkout clerks move with any sense of urgency or expediency, no matter how long the lines are. I often wonder what kind of training these folks go through, if any, because i have never seen ALL the cashiers be so consistently slow no matter what time of year or day you go in. Its almost surreal. Like stepping into a sci-fi world... And what does this say of the management, hmmm? read more
