I had a really disappointing experience with Valarie at the Valencia Bath & Body Works location today. I placed an online order for pickup and simply wanted to exchange one scent for another since the items were part of a buy one get one free promotion. Instead of handling it as a straightforward exchange, I was told everything had to be fully returned and refunded back to my account in a few days. After she rang everything up again, the total came to $75, which was confusing because I should not have had to repay for an even exchange. When I politely questioned it, I was met with attitude instead of help. I then asked to just return everything, and the interaction continued to feel uncomfortable and unnecessarily difficult. What upset me most was after the return was processed, I got back in line to repurchase my items and noticed Valarie pull another employee aside into the back for quite some time. The entire situation made me feel like I was being talked about or labeled as a difficult customer when all I was trying to do was exchange one scent. Customer service and attitude matter just as much as store policies, and unfortunately this experience completely ruined what should have been a simple shopping trip. I had my first terrible experience at Bath & Body Works on April 19th, and it came down entirely to how I was treated by one employee, Kelsey. I'm getting married in Cabo San Lucas and have been buying hand sanitizers in bulk for welcome bags. On a previous visit, staff had no issue with us grabbing sealed sleeves from the drawers, so I did the same this time. On this visit, an employee came over to me and asked if I needed help finding a specific scent and politely let me know that going through the drawers wasn't allowed, which I completely understood (though it might help to have those drawers locked or clearly marked if that's the policy). The only reason I'm putting 2 stars is because of this employee, and I'm so sorry I didn't get your name, but shoutout to you! After this interaction, my friend told me the cashier, Kelsey, looked pissed, and was the one who called the employee over with her walkie-talkie, and was "mad-dogging" us throughout the whole interaction. I was like, "Whatever, I get it, they have rules, and the employee was super nice about it, so no biggie." What I didn't appreciate was Kelsey's attitude at checkout. From the moment I walked up, her tone was cold, condescending, and frankly unprofessional. This totally caught me off guard because I was being very nice and friendly and thought there was no issue. While ringing me up, she removed all of the sanitizers from their plastic sleeves. When I politely explained that I needed them kept in the packaging for travel, she sighed, argued that they "weren't supposed to be in plastic," and thankfully went to get another sleeve. While she was gone, she rolled her eyes and mocked me to a coworker behind my back, with my friend, who she thought was a regular customer, sitting in a front-row seat to witness the disrespect. That alone was unacceptable. She returned with a replacement sleeve (which she also managed to damage), continued speaking to me in a dismissive tone, and only then decided to make small talk about my wedding as if nothing had happened. I was calm and respectful the entire time, which makes this even more frustrating. If there are store policies, that's fine, but there is absolutely no excuse for treating a paying customer with that level of disrespect. This experience felt less like customer service and more like being talked down to and mocked for no reason. I've always enjoyed shopping at Bath & Body Works, but this bully behavior has left a negative impression. read more

just came out of the store after today's NBC drop- absolutely the worst shopping experience of my life. I've been to many highly-anticipated drops and I've never seen one so poorly managed. I arrived 15 minutes before the posted opening time and there were already people shopping. No line, no notice that they'd open early, just a random mob of people already in there swarming the Nightmare Before Christmas section. People were shoving, yelling, and being so horrible to one another because not only was there no attempt at orginization- there seemingly was no item per customer limit either. I saw people with like a dozen nand sanitizers in their baskets before the store had even technically opened. People were yelling that they would sue one another, people were cursing and being nasty to one another, and the best items were already gone before 10:00am. The employees came out once or twice in random corners of the store with backstock but it just felt like you had to be in the right place because they'd just get swarmed by whoever was close to them when they came out of the back. Absolutely atrocious management and I know now to avoid this B&BW for any future drops. I hope they have a better in system in place next time before somebody gets hurt. read more

I was near the mall today and decided to stop on in to grab a quick something. I did have a reward to redeem and Nancy helped me with what I was able to redeem it on. She also showed me the new items in store and showed me the new collab with the Disney villans. Lots of different smells in the store to pick for your preference! I always get overwhelmed in this store but I did end up with something sweet yet subtle. Also need to come back in to snag some new smells too! read more

I stopped by this Bath and Body Works inside Valencia Mall today. I wanted to see what kind of sales they had on the candles. They had a lot of deals and the employees here are very helpful. They showed me the different candles and give me some recommendations. I also looked at their lotions to get some gifts idea for Christmas. This store has a lot of different products to select from and the prices are reasonable now but they'll likely be even better when Black Friday and Christmas is closer. read more

This review is for the workers! They are always soooo nice and go out of their way to greet you and help answer any and all questions. I appreciate the attention to detail and how they transform the store for every holiday. Their items make beautiful gifts! I adore their designs on the candles, candle holders etc. I used to strictly use their essential oils bath oils for years, and hooked most of my friends and family. We are asking her if she can give us an individual brown bag because it's for Christmas gift. She's giving us this cheap clear plastic and ask her again if she can give us at least 15 brown bag and she said NO. So I ask the other lady what if I will buy an individual spray and ring them individually on a separate receipt, she said they will give you a separate bag and told me that I should have done that before. These sales lady if they don't like their job they should quit, what an attitude, I told her that I will put them on Yelp ... her answer is GO AHEAD DO IT. I will never come back to this place again. Furthering my tour of B&BW shops, I had an offer for a free gift with purchase, plus buy 3 / get 3 on the signature body care items, so made a search for one in the Valencia area. The Google Maps feature took me to a spot that wasn't the right place. A call to the store righted that ship. It's upstairs in the main mall, between Macy's and Penney's. Typically, season-forward merchandise is in the front. This year, they didn't really focus on Spring scents, but rather went from their post-Christmas semi-annual sale right to featuring summer tropicals. I have Beautiful Day and Freesia from last year to take the Spring slot in my bathroom. I enjoy rotating scents and colors seasonally, and B&BW inspires me with lovely fragrances. Newest one is Gingham. Their rewards app is terrific with special offers that rotate at a blazing pace. If you ever shop with them, I highly recommend signing up for the app. The staff at this store was extremely welcoming and friendly / helpful. read more

Every time we walk into this Bath & Body Works location immediately we are greeted by one of their awesome employees who brings us up to date on the ongoing sales and their newest fragrance line being featured... I had the pleasure of talking to Angel! So he was fabulous! Super friendly, professional, easy to approach and very knowledgeable as to what we needed! We felt very much like he cared about our questions and he was quick too! Over the last month or so a few of the other employees have helped me out too whether assistance from a manager or right out on the sales floor all the way to checking out! I took the liberty to ask for a few of the employees names: All 5 stars of course!...you know why because they are happy to help you! PRODUCTS are GREAT! They make super gifts! Certain members of the staff are fabulous! There is a gent who works there who is awesome and another young lady who is great! Most other annoy the bleep out of you! One of the weekend managers is a doll! The one today was unbelievably and UNDENIABLY the rudest ever. Hence the reason for 3 stars. She blew it for her team. Don't ask for your patrons cell phone number and email info and addresses if you don't want them to use the coupons B,B &W send you. I had made a couple purchases with separate coupons. Fine. Great. I left the mall. Ran a few more errands came back with another different coupon that had been mailed to me that I found in my wallet. I went back to the mall used the stupid coupon for body creams. Then the manager aka COUPON nazi came out and said no more coupons for you. NOT JOKING! Extremely rude and terribly unprofessional. I wish I got her name because she needs a class in customer service. Her attitude definitely resonates in a few of the associates. The sales girl who rang me up was mortified. I was mortified. I can not say enough great things about her. She let me know about a promotion with buying 3 soaps and 2 free. Crazy helpful. She was so funny and informative. I decided to ask two of the employees and the first time I was responded with, "its slim pickings right now." The second time I asked for a different item, I was given a, "whatever we have is what we have" with a neck snap and irritation. I found out from my co-worker that they were talking about me after I had left, asking each other what my "problem" was. I didn't have a problem, I was just disappointed that they didn't have the items I wanted. I simply asked twice about two different items to make sure they indeed did not have them. I went in to purchase a bunch of body lotions for 30 teachers, the ladies on the floor were very pleasant and answered my questions, however the girls at the register were very rude and lacked customer service, I wanted to grab 2 more lotions after I spent $300 on my purchase, instead of the girl asking one of the girls on the floor to grab it for me, she tells me you need to stand back in line when you go grab them. If I really did not need the lotions that day, I would have returned my entire purchase and went to a different area to purchase them. I will never purchase from this store. PS to management, you really need to train your people on how to provide the proper customer service. read more

I went in the Valencia store with my baby and stroller. I was barely able to fit through the maze of displays. I finally selected about 10 items to give as Christmas gifts juggling them in my arms while maintaining control of my stroller. I finally discovered one spot in front by the registers where the stroller could fit and waited patiently for my turn. After about 5 minutes of seeing me there, the girl at the register told me there is only one line and I had to go to the other side. I explained I couldn't get through and I was next in line anyway. She looked right at at me, then ignored me and asked for the next person in line. She watched me place all of my items I had in my hands on the nearest display and leave. All three of the women at the registers saw me there the whole time. All three saw me struggling to hold the products I chose. All three watched me place the stuff I wanted to buy down and leave. Not one person even attempted to get involved or make the situation right. This is bad business and you lost my business for life! read more

Even though it takes awhile to check out, I find the service outstanding. The clerks and management are always pleasant snd accommodating. so this review is based on the employees customer service. yes I am aware of store policy and return procedures, but the way Ione first handled my situation, was really uncalled for. I had a return and she basically pointed to a gentleman and pushed my bag of returns away from her and said, "there's the manager".... uhrmm ok so you expect me to walk over to the manager when you have a mic to call him on? RUDE! the only reason I didn't give this location and 1 star was for the way the manager, Sean, took care of me. Had my return situation got worse this would have a 1 star review. I love the sweet pea, pomegranate and a lot of summer scents I always buy my supplies here, I wish they had a rewards card or something. I can use my Pink card here but doesn't count the stars. My only problem is I had pulled several scents of the same item out of a bin clearly marked 50% off and one of them didn't ring up at 50% off.
