It's been awhile since I've been into a Sephora to actually play with the makeup and see what caught my eye. I came in around noon time, which was nice cause it wasn't overly crowded like it usually is. Alex greeted me and asked if I needed any help, which I did and he pointed me in the right direction. I did smell some new fragrances, I grabbed some hair care I've been wanting to try. I did find a few other things I wanted but they were sold out at this location, so when I got home I ordered it online (you get free shipping if you're a beauty insider). **The only thing I did have a complaint about was how dimly lit this location was. I thought I'd give this Sephora a second chance and was pleasantly surprised to be greeted today by a young blonde lady. She asked if I was looking for something and I responded skin products and moisturizers and then she pointed to the aisle and the buck stopped right there! As if I could have not found the aisle myself. What I was looking for were recommendations. This truly is the worse Sephora and staff. I am going to next time go to my usual spots in northridge, the grove, and west lake village. Perhaps, she was judging a book by its cover ... ethnic mom waking in with her toddler. However, the buying power is professional women in their 30s-40s who drop big bucks on products without flinching. Know your clientele population. I'd rather take my business elsewhere. I booked my wife a full hour makeover. We live 2 hours away so we came down the night before and got a room so that we wouldn't have to get up early and head up in the morning. There's not a Sephora nearby us. We get a phone call at 9:30am (appointment at noon) that our appointment was cancelled since the tech called in. I understand people get sick and things come up. Our situation was just a little different with having the 2 hour drive especially paying $6 per gallon for gas. They didn't seem remorseful at all. Shoutout to Carrie who is a breath of fresh air - she stands out, imho in that store amongst all Staff for she takes the time, very knowledgeable, helpful, and patient. With social media, so many information out there but there is novelty in getting recommendation from a subject matter expert...in person. My question to her was ...I am in the market for a new foundation and based on my age she recommended foundation that has hydration which I absolutely agreed with her. I stopped by this Sephora location inside Valencia Town Center on a Saturday afternoon. The moment we walked inside, the workers greeted us and ask if we needed any assistance. My wife asked for a brush so they told her where it was. The store was busy during the afternoon probably because of the holidays sales starting early. There were worker s throughout the store so if you needed any help, you'll be able to find them easily. While my wife was shopping around, I went to look at their cologne area. Everyone's there to help and make you feel your best! Appreciate all the recommendations they never steer you in the wrong direction. Many times the girls have helped find my perfect shade, of a product I screen shotted. Sign up for the credit card it's worth the rewards and points! Just was in Sephora spent $$$ came home and the Dolce roll on perfume I purchased is empty. You can tell it was used. I call the store right away and I got an attitude from the S.P. She said bring it in and my manger will decide. Decide what? So I will be back tomorrow let's see what happens. So I decided to go back right away because I was concerned that they would not believe me if waited another day. I stepped up to the cashier she was so nice I explained what happened and she was very sympathetic. She then called the manager, and now I know why some of the sales clerks have attitude. At this location, if the line seems long, it moves quickly as the staff works efficiently. Be sure to sign up for their free Beauty Insider rewards program, it's easy to rack up points as it's hard to resist purchasing anything from here. They especially get you while you're waiting in line with the smaller-sized items you've been wondering about that cost a fraction of the regular-sized items. The points you earn can go towards the featured items and they usually have awesome ones, I recently got the Shiseido skin care set and am excited to try it! This Sephora is located in the upper outdoor area of the Westfiled Valencia Town Center. I was assisted by Nancy and I'm writing this review thanks to her, I was having a terrible time color matching myself for nars sheer glow as I've used it before but have never been happy with my color match, I expressed to her that I love the formula and would like to find my color and no joke she hit it right off the bat with the first color match and I have to say that she has been the first person to ever color match me for Nars! All the girls in this store are rude and stuck up and treated me and my daughter like shit. Awful visit yesterday, I will never shop here again, I'll go to Ulta across the street. Both girls helping me treated me like a huge inconvenience and one left in the middle of assisting me (I was trying out an eyebrow pencil, in a chair, with six different products in front of me that she had brought) to go help some other random customer by shouting "can I help you find something?", and never returning. Um....weren't you helping me find something? I had to search the whole store for the products she brought me that I wanted and gather them myself. The initial associate I worked with did half my face with a foundation and when I asked her to do the rest she said she had an appointment coming any minute (appointment never showed) so she couldn't assist me any longer. After I checked out there were three associates hanging around chatting it up up front...had they did their job this all would have been avoided.
