The Amazon returns line was the busiest part of the store. That line did keep moving. An Amazon return, and needing to be in the area was what brought us to this location. Arriving at opening, aisles were neat and orderly. In season items were well stocked. Plenty of carts were available. Fitting rooms are open. I had ordered a shirt for my daughter in the morning and headed to the store that evening to pick it up 15 miles from my home. At pick up I was informed my order had been cancel and that I should have received an email. Checked my email no email was received and my account has my current email on file. I asked to speak to a manager. A woman manager approached me, I explained what occurred. She was beyond rude. She advised me no one had told me to come to the store. Unfortunately, my experience with Cami at the Amazon returns counter has been consistently negative. Her attitude is dismissive and unwelcoming, and she acts as if doing her job is a chore and helping customers is an inconvenience. This isn't a one-time issue, every time I've encountered her, the experience has been the same. Customer service should feel helpful and respectful, and that has not been the case here. I purchased 2 dresses totaling $70.50 on 6-11. Went in today to return 1 dress because my husband noticed the stitching on it was bad. I went to the register with another dress (same price mind you) and the lady told me I couldn't use my coupon on the new dress because I returned one (Coupon apparently forfeited). Also! I picked up another order in store. So basically instead of doing an "even exchange" I returned the dress and got my money back cuz they don't honor coupons if you return an item. Sorry but that's just horrible business practice that isnt justified. I've worked retail for 10 years and we never told a customer they can't use a coupon cuz a return occurred. Point of a coupon is to get customers coming back, now won't think I will. read more

Went there, spent 2 hours finding clothes then was told at the counter I would save 40% if I opened a Kohls account. Went through the process and then was told Capitol One didn't approve it right away so no discount. I have a 800+ credit score so don't know why that happened. Then went to use a gift card I received for Christmas for $150. The clerk said the balance on the card was zero. Not possible, I hadn't used it yet and had the receipt with the number on it that matched the number on the gift card. They couldn't figure it out over the phone, while I am keeping other customers waiting. Said they would figure it out and mail a new gift card. The clerk said she has had the same problem with other peoples gift cards. Keep your receipts people. Is it a scam? Won't know until I see if they mail another gift card. What a joke. read more

If you are a professional shopper you can get some good deals once you get to know how the store works. I am not a huge fan of their women's clothing, but I do like some of the men's, children's and teens. Their exchange and return policy is great. You get a coupon to save money when you do an Amazon return. If you have a Kohl's charge card you can save even more money. If you have one make sure you install the app and it saves all your coupons even the ones you receive in the mail so you do not have to carry them around. This also includes your Kohl's cash that you earn. The store is always clean, employees are always friendly. read more

Priced marked is not always the price... Bought a pair of Vans Filmore Mens shoes. They had multiple color choices all next to the blue ones in the middle of the display which was Regular $74.99 but on sale for $44.97. At the register they rang at 74.99 and I pointed this out. Told me to go take a picture of the tagged price which I did. Manager called over and refused to give me the sale price because they were a different color... I was nice enough to take them back to the shelf and a clerk asked if all was OK. Told her the story and she went back to the manager to point out but again, to no avail. My Kohls card is now resting in a shredded state in the trash. read more

In the past, I have never shopped at Kohl's for myself. I know people who are big fans, and it seems like you have to have their credit card (which I won't do) or be great about keeping up with the coupons and Kohls cash to shop here. Otherwise, I think it's mostly overpriced for what you get. Since the start of this school year, I've stopped in a few times to look for pants for myself (no luck- never long enough) and pants for my sister. I've been able to find her a few pants that work well for her school uniform. This last time I went in, they had that same type of pants buy one get one half off, which was great! I also had to do a return here and it was quick and painless. The staff here are helpful and polite. Kohls is slowly growing on me! I would just love to see clothing options that sent $30+ a piece. read more

Kohl's has a good amount of clothes, and although the quality has gone down significantly in recent years, you can still hunt and find something to wear. My issue is with their coupons, which come in the mail and email almost relentlessly. 25%, 30%, 40% draws me to their website or store and every time they continue to 'get me, haha'. Almost every item I want is "not eligible for coupons", making that 40% off useless. It's a type of bait and switch or too good to be true. This did not used to be how they operated, but now I can't find anything on sale, unless I already earned Kohl's cash from buying hundreds of dollars of merchandise already. I should have learned my lesson but I have a feeling I will get fooled again. read more

I loath Christmas shopping and do most of mine online, but today I needed to pick up my last few things that needed to be picked up in person. The parking lot was packed as expected bring Christmas Eve. When I got in I was surprised to see so many employees actually working the registers. Even on holidays I've never seen that many before which was great considering the line is usually out of control! I quickly found the things I was looking for and pleasantly surprised to see such great sales. I'm giving it a 3 out of five however because you can never find employees actually working the floor , cleaning up etc because they hire just enough to run the registers. I also was annoyed at the fact they want to sell you credit cards, Kohl's rewards memberships, guest surveys etc. a few minute transaction turns into a sales pitch. I want in and out. If I want more credit cards I'll ask. read more

This is my preferred place for mens' clothes. They have a better variety & more reasonable prices than any of the department stores nearby. I also need to add that I came to this location when it first opened and it was a bit of a cluster. I LOVE Kohl's... Just not this one! It is always a mess and the staff is not very friendly. Another reviewer hit the nail on the head when she mentioned how "untidy" it is and how it's so full that you can't get a stroller through... I have a problem just getting one of their tiny carts through! If it weren't for the value and quality of Kohl's clothing (their home accessories and electronics are very overpriced... I LOVE Kohls in general and this store is pretty ok. I guess the word I can use to best describe it is untidy. There are aspects about this store that could use some work but overall, I like the quality of the clothes, and you can't beat the price. The staff is always friendly and nice. I've even been here at Black Friday and the staff never seems frazzled or stressed. And they have a good mix of people working there which is nice. It's not the same old cookie cutter type of retail employee. They really run the gamut. So here are the things that need help that cause me to give this store just 3 stars: I have found that at this particular location though, you cannot at all trust the sizing on the hangers and you really do need to check the garment itself to confirm the size you are purchasing. I can't tell you how many times I thought I was getting one size and it was something else entirely. Additionally, it is not easy to navigate this store with a baby stroller. There are so many racks of clothes and shelves that it's just a real struggle to shop with the stroller. And most of the time, the shelves clearly need help and haven't been touched. Whenever I see the employees in the different sections of the store, they are putting out more stuff instead of neatening up what's out there. I do do the surveys that they give me on the receipts but the store never changes. I will keep coming back to Kohl's though. I do love the store from mens, to kids, to the housewares, to the ladies styles... you just can't beat it. I just hope they tighten up some of their frayed edges. read more

I prefer to do my shopping at Kohl's (as opposed to other department stores) in general, and this location happens to be closest to my home. Since most people are familiar with Kohl's stores and their wares, I'll share with you my hits and misses. Hits: -love the Rock and Republic line: jeans, jewelry, t-shirts, skirts, etc. It's ALL GREAT! -great jewelry counter. If you go to the backside near the employee opening, you will find a "clearance" area for watches in the glass case. I've gotten really nice Relic watches originally priced at $250+ for $30. -Lauren Conrad's jeans and pants have the perfect fit. -always lots to look at on the sales racks (multiple) -Vera Wang intimates, looks luxurious without the high-end pricetag Misses: -hate that the bathroom is right next to customer service. Literally like, 5 feet away. Awkward. -fitting rooms are perpetually messy and more dirty than I'd prefer. Almost never staffed. -sales rack are complete melee, no order whatsoever -very crowded clothing departments, difficult to navigate, impossible to have more than one person in an area. -understaffed, both in registers and employees who can tidy areas, answer questions -asked someone in home/bedding if they carried duvet covers. A) he had no idea what a duvet cover was and B) he told me they didn't carry them. They did I and found them. I'll keep coming back, with my fingers crossed that staffing increases so I don't have to be worried I'll contract some 3rd world disease from the dressing room (haha). read more

Take a long walk to the furthest corner of the store and there you will find the restroom. The curious eyes at the customer service counter make you feel as if they are judging the amount of time spent in the toilet. It seems to be a high traffic area as I had three visitors come and go. Toilet paper is two ply. No automatic dispensers. Overall, there is a lack of privacy and comfort. 2/5 read more

I usually have no issues shopping here but today my encounter with customer service department was horrible. What i thought would be friendly return turned into a Customer sales rep. (older lady with glasses) making smart remarks. She had asked if there was anything wrong with the shirts and I had told her i actually didn't try them on like i usually do. She then rudely repeated me and said oh you didn't try it on here with such sarcasm. If she is going to continue to have such a horrible attitude i don't think customer service is not the right department for her. For being an older lady i would expect mature attitude. I wish i would've taken down her name. I unfortunately cant find a name on the receipt. This incident has made me not want to return to the Surprise Store. I've been on infinite hold twice and hung up on once. I have talked to 4 different people trying to get this fixed and nobody cares to help me. Stay away from Kohl's! The clothing racks, including the sale racks, tend to be very organized and coordinated. I love Kohls in gereral and this store in particular is great. I generally don't need assistance in Kohls but there are always plenty of staff around. I did need to return a ring that broke a day after I bought it on one occasion and I found the return rep super friendly as are all the check out clerks. The store is always clean, even the restrooms and the fitting rooms are always neat and tidy. Only during the Christmas season do I wait in long lines & even then all the check out lanes are manned and they are working as fast as they can. I have never had a bad experience here. read more

This store has a good selection of products. I have purchased clothes here a few times. However, the setup of the shoe section is not very customer friendly. The aisles in the shoe section are not wide enough to encourage uninterrupted shoe shopping experience for the individual. While shopping on a busy day one must constantly move as other shoppers seek to get past and also look at shoes, which interrupts the shopping experience. Shoes are not always an easy item to buy, due to style having to be right and then making sure correct shoe size is available. When I try on shoes I usually like enough room to try it on standing, without interrupting other shoppers. While there is a sitting area to try on shoes, the aisles still need to be wide enough to accommodate people looking on both sides of the aisle at one time. I am of average height and weight, and some have even called me skinny. So, if I feel this way in the store I'm sure others may have had similar concerns. Shopping environment is important. I'm likely to quickly give up on the shopping experience and leave the store without buying shoes with this kind of setup, which is exactly what I did yesterday. While Kohls's does have great shoe selection, they could sell more with a better store setup. Otherwise, it is overwhelming for customers. read more

This location ALWAYS forgets to take the stupid Sensor tag off the clothes . It's beyond annoying because I always have to drive back to have them take it off . I have shopped here 4 times and 3 out of 4 they have forgotten the sensor . Last time I came in to get it removed the guy asked for my receipt insinuating that I was trying to steal the item .
