They have the worst customer service i've ever dealt with. I ordered a power wheels for my nephew on black Friday. They emailed me the day after saying the product was now out of stock so I called to see what other options I had. Long story short, they did nothing and said it wasn't their fault the product wasn't available anymore. HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE. This is actually a Kohl's now, but it's still just as good Mervyn's was! Good deals, especially when you sign up for emails and receive a 20% coupon EVEN ON CLEARANCE ITEMS! It's awesome! I personally go there for great bedding accessories such as mattress pads and pillows. I will have to write about my certain situation that recently occurred. I was looking for a specific item, a Chaps Cluster Puff Mattress Pad in a Full size, which I had found online to confirm that it was on sale. This mattress pad is usually $99.99 regular price, but was on sale for $49.99 plus I had printed out my 20% coupon that was sent via email for even more additional savings. I went to the store looking for my item, but unfortunately all I saw was Cal-King and Twin sizes. I brought the item to Customer Service have them scan/check if they had a Full size somewhere in the back. The lady looked it up in her system and told me it wasn't made in a Full size or she just didn't have any in stock. I explained to her that I saw the item online and I actually already owned a Full size of this item (which I actually do, I swear!). I then asked her if she could check the Pasadena Kohl's for me since they didn't have it in stock. She said she could, but she would have to scan the item and find the Sku to the Full size...then she just stood there and STARED AT ME. She didn't even try to do it! I looked behind me and noticed a really long line so I just decided to say forget it and thought I'd go to the Pasadena store and check myself since their employees seem very lazy. But then I thought about it and got extremely p*ssed off. I marched back on over to the Customer Service desk and politely said, "I'm sorry, but did you say you COULD scan the item and find it at another store? If so, can you please do that?" I honestly did say it nicely, much nicer than how I actually was feeling. I've worked in Retail before so I completely understand the ups & downs, but this chick should have done her job. She's at the Customer Service desk for crying out loud! Anyway, she scanned the item and didn't find it. She said I could order it online through them and they will ship it to me for FREE. She also got her manager (who was SUPER nice) allow me to use my 20% off coupon on the sale price. I had to use their little black phone at the Customer Service desk to place my order. The person who took my order was very nice and I'm waiting for my item at the moment. If there are any problems, I'll update my review for sure. Good luck to you all! Make Customer Service DO THEIR JOB the next time you need them to. If I could give them ten stars I would. I had the most stressful situation as I was shopping with my mother. I thought I lost my wallet, and the manager and associates assisted us looking for it all over the store. They made sure I found it. I love Kohl's. I liked this place when it was a Mervyn's but ever since Kohl's branched out to the west coast I've been a fan. They have great prices. I've never purchased anything at regular price at this store. Signing up for the Kohl's credit card is worth it as I get 30% coupons throughout the year and stock up on lots of items when I am lucky enough to score 30% off. Add the Kohl's cash $10 for $50 purchases which becomes $15 for $50 purchases on Black Friday and you can't beat it. read more

It is a Khol's! Pretty much average compared to the others. Very clean store, and very good about opening extra registers when there are too many customers. Kohls in Pasadena.. (i think?) Hungtington/Rosemead blvd is WAAAY better. Cleaner, service is better. I didn't even get any service here.. took forever to find someone to help me and the lady in the shoe department mistook those toe shoes for water shoes so though i called in it was a waste of time anyway. I may give them a shot again... but with the Pasadena location being only 5 miles away, I probably won't be visiting them any time soon. read more

I love going to Kohls. They always have discount offers on already reduced-price stuff . So i always shop whenever i get a coupon code on my email, plus cash rewards. I got a really nice pink work dress with a tag price of $10 , originally $50. Then i used a coupon for $10 off any purchase of atleast $10. So i got the dress free! I used to love shopping at Kohl's, but lately I have been SUPER disappointed! They send out percentage off coupons every so often and I happened to get a 30% discount coupon, so I wanted to buy a new pair of walking/running shoes. After I went to the store and selected a pair that I liked, when I went to the register to pay, they told me I could not use the 30% off coupon! I was extremely upset because every single time I come here, they are adding more and more restrictions for using the coupons! It's RIDICULOUS!! Pretty soon you won't be able to use them on anything! It started with Levi's, then Nike, then fragrances and now I'm not allowed to use it on any of the so called "prestigious" brands of shoes. Give me a break! New Balance is a prestigious brand? I am not about to pay $65, when I can pay 30% less. This is just a money making scheme and I am EXTREMELY disappointed in Kohl's! When I spoke with the manager, she said that it's not Kohl's's policy, but supposedly the brands are not allowing them to offer the coupons. Well, if they do that, then stop carrying that brand! You wonder why Retail is dead? Drove all the way from Pasadena since this is the closest Kohls. Went there to buy a fitbit alta hr. Online they are $129 at every store including kohls online. When I arrive no one was around to help so I had to stand in line at the register. They called someone to get a key to unlock the display. After about 5 minutes a person shows up, but didn't have a key. So she called a manager. The manager shows up and I tell her it's $20 cheaper online. She says we don't price match, not even our own store. I explain I drove all the way from Pasadena for this because this is the price it showed and I had $10 kohls cash. She wouldn't budge so I drove to Dicks and bought it there for $20 cheaper and they were able to help me right away. This is why stores are closing nationwide. Retail is dead. If you can't even honor your own prices online, then I'll just shop online like everyone else. read more

i'm saddened to see kohl's closing stores left and right. thankfully this one is still open. i've written in-depth reviews about them before, so i'll just make this one quick. long-red-hair'ed krista is THE BOMB. she was stocking another department and saw me frustrated with one of the in-store kiosk things trying to find sheets in a certain color and size. they were NOT available online, so she literally called other nearby stores until she found them for me. it took about half an hour for her to do this, which is forever in retail time, and i am SO THRILLED that she helped me get what i needed, even if i had to drive 45 minutes to another kohl's to get it. i will ALWAYS be a kohl's customer partially because of krista, as well as employees like her, which kohl's is good at empowering. krista really deserves all the kudos ... and a raise, kohl's manager! :) read more

Great service by the gentleman in customer service area . He was helpful and very attentive with my return. Unfortunately the girls at the front registers in their club wear were rude and didn't even reply when spoken to. When I left I said "thank you , bye" to which I got a mumbled " yea bye" . This is a Kohl's now but the service still feels like Mervyns. I knew Saturday was a bad day to look for anything at dept stores. They all get a bit wacky. But that does not mean you need to give bad service. The girl at the jewelry dept saw that I had bunch of frames to buy and told me I couldn't purchase them there. I asked her if I could have her hold them as my lunch hour was up and need to get back to work. Not only did she not make the purchase, she didn't want to hold them for me there cuz she was off to lunch. She wanted me to take them to customer service which is fine but there's a long line there too. After waiting for 10min at customer service I had to leave as I was late for work. The only reason for two stars is cuz I stopped an associate in an aisle and had to ask her to hold them for me at the customer service and she was nice enough to do it. Argh!!! Expecially if you are a mother I would NOT shop here! I came here a couple of weeks ago with my 18 month old and I put him in my stroller while I shopped for some jewerly. If you are a mother you will understand and probely do this often, I put the jewerly in the basket under the stroller because it is very difficult to push the umbrella stroller and carry a shopping bag at the same time. I bought a pretty necklace and bracelet and as I was leaving a security guard stopped me and told me to come in the back with him. He asked if there was anything I needed to come clean about and I said no because I had no idea what I did wrong. He asked me to search the stroller and my bag and I found in the back corner of the basket under the stroller a pair of earrings that I forgot to put back. I immediatly appoligized and told him the truth that I put items in the basket because its a lot easier for me and I honestly just forgot to put it back. He then interegated me very rudely for over 45 minutes about this pair of $10 earrings. Finally he told me he wouldn't press charges because he believed me that it was an honest mistake but still that I could no longer go to this store ,which I come to shop almost every month, and that I would get fined, my fine is $325 !!!!!!!!! This is absurd that an innocent mother with no criminal record that made an honest mistake that I know many other parents have made and I get treated this way !!! When it first opened, this place had somewhat good deals. Since then, its been poor customer service. I went in not too long ago, had jewelry to purchase. The heavy woman in that department didn't want to ring me up. I did inform the manager and she said that she would talk to her. I don't think it made much of a difference. The people at the make -up area were just as unprofessional. Instead of working , they were chatting and playing make-over with each other. Listen, its not MAC! Even they are more attentive. They blocked the makeup counter and perfume area, and I said excuse me, but they were like overweight cows that wouldn't budge. They didn't even move. So, I didn't get to browse and it was such a bitter experience that I decided to leave. Improve it or be ready to look for another job! They are tacky and tired! I won't shop there anymore.
