I like this particular Kohl's location because: A.) Better selection of clothing compared to other locations. B.) They have nice dressing rooms that are usually well kept. I like how in each dressing room there is an area to separate the clothes you are trying on, for example: "Back to the rack," "Like it," and "Love it!" This helps in the decision of which items to keep and which to put back. C.) The sales floor is usually more well kept than other Kohl's locations. D.) The proximity to other places to shop such as: Ulta, Sam's Club, Old Navy, Bed Bath and Beyond, Petmart, BevMo. When I receive another 30% coupon in the mail, you can bet I will be back! read more

I went to purchase a necklace at the Kohl's in La Verne and the lady at the counter looked at the picture and said, I have never seen that here sorry. I've only been in here twice. Everyone was generally pleasant, store was clean. I didn't know what to expect since people hype this place up so much for the deals. The second occasion was for an online return. I was confused by their line system but someone helped me quickly. Returning was not a hassle and for that, I will continue to come back. I like Kohl's. I really want to like Kohl's because my receipt tells me I save $442 on my purchases, but I know better Kohl's. The markup on your prices must be high to play such mind games. It's a good place to find some clothes at decent prices. They also have a ton of holiday decorations and even the hard to find christmas rugs (or so my mother says they are). The store can be a bit overwhelming. Rarely are there carts because there's always so many people. Aisles of clothing are not wide enough for said carts so it makes maneuvering a struggle. Came into this Kohls out of desperation. Got my daughter some jeans and a bra. Went to check out, stood in line for a while, finally got up to register and they denied us using our credit card. They said I was not on the account. I am. The cashier (Frankie female) was extremely RUDE. Marissa the "manager" was a complete RUDE idiot who had absolutely no interest in helping ANYONE. I am such a huge fan of Kohl's! Sadly, the stock here is not as great as other Kohl's so I don't usually walk out with a lot of merchandise. However, Kohl's is beyond awesome with the discounts and I love getting my coupons in the mail. Another added bonus is the Kohl's cash, which is awesome to have when you are just browsing and find a nice find. This is an older store. I always forget that this one is here, nestled in the big shopping center lot. They have the same merchandise as the other Kohl's stores. As with the other Kohl's stores, they never seem to have enough cashiers when I need to check out. I wasn't completely happy because one of the items I wanted to buy was sold out in my size and the kiosk couldn't find the item to show me if it was in stock at a different store. I generally like Kohl's but really shy away from buying things here that are not on sale because their regular prices seem really high for the class of merchandise. read more

Went in to pick up an online order, made the order close to my home so I figured the order may not be ready when I got there, that would have been fine, but when there are associates making snide remarks to a supervisor and the supervisor makes a just as snide remark back to this associate with me standing right there is not very professional not to mention straight out rude! He helped me make a decision on which one to purchase. Then we found out it only came in the color I wanted if I purchased it on line. When your guest service has a big "YES" above, one would expect to hear yes. Instead when I went to return a pair of shoes that were sold to me with the same foot I got "we can't do that, you have to go to the location you got it at" I don't have the time in life to drive an hour away for a shoe. I work inventory management so I get the reason but you can advertise that you're always going to say "YES" when you clearly don't. I ended up throwing the shoes away and won't be back. read more

First off, one thing that has been bugging me is how can an employee not know if they have or don't have short length pants! I know they use to have them but this time around I couldn't find any. As I was paying for my items I asked the gal at the register if they still carry short length pants. Her reply to that was "I don't know I don't shop for short length pants." I thought wow that wasn't the answer to my question it just required a yes or no answer. On 3/29/18, I made a purchase on line at Kohl's.com and had it set for pick up at the Glendora, California store. I tried to add my son's name as another person with permission to pick up this item. the system would not allow me to complete the name add on. It Instructed me to call Customer Service. I tried again today, 3/30 to add on my son's name and continued to get the message that this process could not be completed and to call customer service. I called Customer Service and was told to call the store. I called the store and was given instructions to do the same thing I had been trying to do for the past 24 hours, which instructed me to call customer service to begin with. Once I got through to the customer service person that this process was not working. She left the line to find someone who "knew" what to do. Upon returning she instructed me to find my original email confirming this order and that I should be able to add on my son within that email. No! I got the same message, "Call Customer Service". Or, she instructed me that the best thing to do was put the Kohl's app on my phone and add my son there. Ridiculous! Why couldn't a live person at Kohl's end take care of this. I would have put this complaint directly on the Kohl's Corporate or Store level site, but that wasn't possible either! Inept customer service. Came in this past weekend to pick up an online order of a small item my wife ordered online. The online order confirmation/pick-up email said to present the email to any associate and they'll process the pickup. After waiting in line at checkout (for 10 min), I'm told I have to go stand in the long line at Customer Service. There were about 8 people ahead of me, and one very angry looking customer service representative open (her name was Kim). After waiting 10 min and the line not moving, my wife decided to go grab another item, so she gave me her ID, and I had the pick up confirmation email pulled up on my phone, under her email account. I finally got to the front of the line, and presented Kim with my wife's ID and the email. Kim was extremely rude right off the bat, no hello, how are you, etc. In any case, she proceeds to rudely say "Who's ::insert wifes name here::?!" I said that's my wife. Kim said: "Well where is she?!" I said she's in the store shopping. Kim went on to angrily tell me how I'm not allowed to pick up someone else's order, etc... I let her emote, and responded that this is my wife, I have her drivers license, and I'm logged into her email on my phone. Do you really think I'm some stranger trying to steal something? She went on about how she will allow me to do it this one time, etc. What topped it all off, is that when the receipt came out, Kim slid it towards me, and slammed the pen on the desk and said "Sign here ::insert wifes name::". Yes, she called me my wifes name and was extremely sarcastic. Kim is a real piece of work, who needs a serious attitude adjustment. She also was complaining about "how the entire valley decides to shop at Kohls on Sunday". Really? Complaining about the fact your store is busy??? Whoever the manager is here, needs to straighten her out. Just her appearance screams "Stay away from me, I'm an angry woman!". Complete lack of customer service, and to insult me the way she did was completely uncalled for, especially when I was polite the entire time. I'm not a big Kohl's fan to do any of my shopping at because I don't like their pricing (gimmick). Also the Kohl's Cash to get you back in the store. I did notice that they have remodeled and now carry more designer names. My friend had to return some items so I tagged along. I got to the cash register to purchase my two items with a twenty percent coupon and the person ringing me up said "I'm sorry but we don't accept coupons on designer items. "I said then why do you carry them in your store". I also said never mind and decided not to purchase my items. I know exactly why they carry designer items in their store. The stores are not doing so well and they needed to bring in other stuff to keep it a float. Make-up and designer clothing. That's what sells. Be careful what you bring to the register. Customer Service has gone downhill. I was told to checkout by Jewelry for my beauty product by a sales associate in the beauty section. When I went up to the jewelry counter I asked if I may checkout and was told to wait a couple of minutes while she attends her current customer- no problem. 7 minutes went by and then the jewelry associate calls out to the beauty associate "Can you help ring up your BEAUTY customer while I help my JEWELRY customer?", (pause) "Pretty please?", after another 5 minutes of waiting the beauty associate finally rings me up. I don't understand why couldn't she ring me up in the first place, and how unprofessional that her colleague needs to say "pretty please" to get her to do her job. Called they said check next day. I was irritated thought they would give me something for my inconvenience. The only thing they gave me was "putting back the 54 bucks They took off my account...YAY...smh and sent me a 15% coupon in the mail. Sooooo...I checked on Wednesday they reversed it... not fixed. He couldn't give me anything else. Told me to wait til Friday. Still have pending charge...called store the young lady Nancy was nice enough to give me 10 bucks Kohls cash....in my opinion I should have received more than that. But that was better than 15% off. I went there to return an item that I purchased from Amazon. When I entered the store I headed for the customer service line. Before I even reached the end of the line, an employee who saw that I had something in my had, asked me if it was an Amazon return. I said yes and then she told me that the Amazon returns were at the rear of the store. Saved me from having to wait in the wrong line. When I got to the right place, there was a customer in front of me that was filling out some paperwork and the salesperson was waiting for. Instead of not doing anything while the other customer was busy, she asked me if I had all my paperwork finished, which I did. So she took my return and gave me my receipt. It is amazing to find a store nowadays that have such competent employees. My wife and I will continue shopping at this store. read more

Today I walked into Kohls and saw a manger talking to an associate laughing and they just stared at me knowing I was a customer. They didn't smile or say hi. I then went to the juniors department which had no room in the isles to even move my cart through and most of the clothing was on the floor. Not only has my family had some horrible experiences here. but our car as well has a few others was broken into in the parking lot. Really getting the worst of both worlds here. But before I did, I decided to take a look at the clearance rack and to my surprise..... there I found several $40-60 regular priced jeans reduced down to $4.80-$8. So the smart thing to do is to leave the one pair of jeans I was getting for $30 and instead buy myself four jeans :) in addition, I bought a blouse for $8 and a maternity blouse for a co-worker (regular $50) for only $5.
