Currently Kohl's has a very limited selection of merchandise. Myself and another customer as many others left empty handed. I really had planned to buy shorts and tops, however there just wasn't the inventory to do so. I actually was left with the idea Kohl's is going out of business. There were many empty shelves, and empty isles. The staff was helpful, and accommodating to customers. You can't sell what is not available, and so no reflection on Kohl's great staff! read more

Kohl's generally is great because they offer you ways to save money through their Kohl's rewards and Kohl's cash, as well as their sales and deal offers. However, the Kohl's store in Gig Harbor must have new employees as they don't seem to know with any certainty what their current store hours are, or that they recently started this self pick up service for merchandise you purchased online. So if you order online, be ready to get an email with a "pass" you must open and then enter a 4 digit code to determine which cubby hole you'll find your order. One of my orders I picked up included 3 GLASS soap dispensers which were placed in a shopping bag without any paper wrapping! What trouble is it to wrap glass in newspaper to prevent the possibility of breaking? Geez.... this self-pick up seems more convenient to the store employees than to the customer! read more

I bought a Dyson vacuum from Kohls because I had received a Christmas gift from Kohls and wanted to upgrade. Otherwise, I would have bought it from somewhere else where it was on sale for less. First, I had to return the gift at the store and because they only had a display, they referenced me to the kiosk to order. The kiosk that has the worst touch screen ever. I ended up ordering it from my phone in the parking lot. I received my order within a couple of days but it came broken as seen in the picture. They had improperly taped two boxes together. The vacuum would not charge. I contacted Dyson and received a new charger but that did not work. So I had to return it. But seeing as I had used my kohls cash the day before due to expiration dates, I got the credit back minus the kohls cash. Then I received my order in the mail back that I had used my kohls cash on. I returned that because it wasn't a good deal without the kohls cash. I, of course, got kohls cash back so I reordered the original vacuum using the kohls cash. The new vacuum left the warehouse and then disappeared. It has now been a month, I have made multiple phone calls both to UPS and Kohls. Each time, they tell me something different. They do always tell me that they are escalating the issue and that I will hear back from them, though the time frame has changed from 2 days to 7 days now. I HAVE NEVER HEARD BACK FROM THEM. This is an expensive vacuum!!! I want my vacuum! And I want it to work! Here's a tip, if you have a choice, shop elsewhere. read more

Went to kohls today and bought several items one being a nail polish. Got home finally time to sit a relax and was going to do my nails and my nail polish was not in my bag. I called the store and the women I spoke to had found the nail polish and said she would put it on hold. I told her it was a big inconvenience for me. She told me maybe they could do something for the inconvenience and put me on hold. I talked to the manager who told me all she could do is hold it for me. I worked the customer service for so long and I'm really unimpressed by the service today. Now I have to drive all the way to get it and I'm already in my pajamas so guess I'll have to wait on my nails for a few days. Please put the Amazon Return Center where you first had it by the return counter next to the front door. Whoever made the decision to move the Amazon Drop Off all the way back to the bedding section made a mistake. It is not convenient to carry packages that distance, especially if you are elderly, pregnant, handicapped or insulted by deliberate and unnecessary inconvenience. I hope you will rethink this. Stacking discounts at Kohls is addictive but their quality is sometimes low on clothes.

Just left there paying more than I thought I was due to items being put away in the wrong place. The store just opened and it looked like it was picked apart. I love Kohl's! The store is never too busy, always has staff at the registers and has an amazing product selection. It has all the great benefits that Gig Harbor stores have and is in a great central location. I habitually check the flyers that come in the mail! 50-60% off sales happen regularly on specified days and on many cases you get Kohl's dollars! Kohl's dollars are awesome. They are credits you get towards your next purchase; for example a couple weeks ago, I spent $150 on cold weather boots and a coat and for every $50 I got a $10 Kohl's Cash. It was $30 towards my next purchase ON TOP OF the 50% savings that day and was able to get two pairs of $30 gloves for free! Heads up though: If you are doing returns and you received Kohl's ca$h from that sale, it will reduce your Kohl's ca$h amount accordingly. However, if you choose to take merchandise credit instead of credit back to your credit card, you get to keep that Kohl's ca$h (the full amount)! read more

The store is clean and there is a lot to choose from. This location, Gig Harbor, never seems crowded, so it is very comfortable. The staff is very friendly. However, they do not offer the discount scratch-off cards to Kohls charge card holders. If you don't bring your own discount from either email or mail flier, they will not offer you any more discount! read more

I usually have no problems here, but yesterday I did. When I first came in the store (and keep in mind because of the virus, it was next to empty... I may have seen one or two other customers there) this lady, Annette, greeted me which was nice. I was looking for a good pair of jeans, which Kohl's always has since they're moderate prices and good quality. I grabbed a few pairs and went straight into the Junior's dressing room to try them on. I then got a knock on my door, and this lady said "you're supposed to go to the other side of the store, this dressing room is closed." I apologized but all she did was laugh dryly at me. I quickly got my own jeans on and gathered everything to shift to a different room. Annette, the one who knocked on my door, was standing there just waiting for me. I didn't notice until this point that there was a rack with a sign in the entryway until just then. Obviously I felt embarrassed. She was super impatient and said that the sign was there all day, even after I apologized and said I hadn't noticed it. I said I must have been oblivious or something, and all she did was nod her head then go away. I didn't feel very valued as a customer at that point. I know I'm a teenager, and lots of teenagers can be annoying customers and just try stuff on, make messes, and go home, but it wasn't that way at all for me. I was polite, I was a paying customer, and I didn't make any messes. She was just rude to me over an honest mistake, and I was literally one of the only customers there. She ended up checking my jeans out too, and I had originally planned to kindly say to her that she should be nicer to paying customers, even if they're teenagers, and that I made an honest mistake. I felt too intimidated though so I went home feeling like I should have said something, and that's why I wrote this review. (The jeans were perfect, by the way!) read more

It took me a year to go to the Kohl's in Gig Harbor, but it was a very good experience. Turns out they were days away from having their store inventory, so things weren't as organized as I would have liked, but the staff was very helpful and genuinely friendly, as they guided me to what I was looking for. I got the impression that the staff like working there. This makes a difference in the kind of shopping experience I have in stores. I was pleased with the clothes I found (though it looks as if black predominates fashion this fall), and I was happy to find clothes for my "petite" needs. I was even impressed with the dressing rooms, which provide three hooks for hanging clothes--one of them just for the clothes to be put back on the racks. There was plenty of room to maneuver and get changed easily, with a bench/seat that's movable instead of being fixed to the wall. Again, it was a nice touch that made trying clothes on more convenient. I found what I felt were good deals, so I went to make my purchase. They offered me a Kohl's credit card, and it's my custom to refuse those offers. However, they sold me on the benefits--a good discount just for getting the card, "point" accrued that provide $10 discounts for every $50 purchased, and good policies on paying off the balance immediately (I've found that there can be penalties for doing that with some stores!). So I went for it. I got approved on the spot, was granted a credit limit that impressed the two women behind the counter (where they take care of purchases and customer service in one place--a good idea, I think), and had my merchandise rung up. Between the discounts on individual items and the discounts for getting the card, I was utterly shocked to find that my total came to $77 and the money saved was $131. Nothing was even that expensive at its regular price, but the amazing one was a skirt whose regular price was $54--which I wouldn't have spent for the skirt--but which had been marked down so far as to end up costing $4.05. The single-most expensive item I'd selected ended up costing the least of all. So, for three skirts, one pair of leggings, and two belts, I got out of there for $77. So except for the pre-inventory disorganization in the merchandise, it was a great experience all around. I'll go back for the service and for clothes that are good quality--not couture, but well made--and fit me. read more

After finding a few items which were on sale racks but not discounted as well as 3 other items which were marked, the checkout person and his supervisor would not discount the late winter/early spring coat on the sale rack and said full price (it is the first day of Summer). I did not purchase the 2 items. Went online and found items which were heavily discounted and called and spoke w/ Kyle the assistant manager. He fully listened and checked and found my items still in the area to be returned back to the floor and allowed me the sale price which was equivalent to the clearance winter coats prices. TY Kyle! Bought a pair of child's slippers online. When they arrived, the box was smashed and they were way too small. (I used the sizing chart but apparently it is not accurate). Decided to save shipping and return them to the store. So, I paid approx. $24 and get $19 back (because of the shipping charges when I ordered them). I accept that, but then they would not put the return back on the card I charged them on. I understand mail theft and all, but I have the packing slip with my name on it and lots of ID, but I can still only get a merchandise card for the return. NOT a happy person and won't look to Kohl's as my first place to shop ever! read more
