In order to accommodate, there are multiple bars as well. We went upstairs to the back patio and we pleasantly surprised by the set up. If this were a cooler day, fire pits could also be used. Note there is no shade available so on a hot day it may be advisable to sit elsewhere. Also there were plenty of board games available on both floors for patrons to borrow. All in all- Oredock is a solid brewery.

However, it is a great area. Our bartender was Marissa; she was great. When in Rome...we both decided to get the whitefish. Mine was just the regular seasoning and my wife got the scampi version. Both were very good. We both had one of the Vierling's brews (cant remember which one) and we both enjoyed it. Vierling also has a blueberry brew and blueberries are actually dropped into it before served. We may go back today just to try it. It was a great experience and struck up a conservation with a young local. He wrote down several recommendations for us, including Black Rock Brewery and Portside, which deserve a review. Unfortunately tonight I didn't get here early enough so I sat out by the bar, which is absolutely fine. I started with a French onion soup, which I normally do when I'm here, tonight it was a little less oniony than it usually is, but that just could simply be a function of whoever was ladling it up. It's still absolutely delicious. For dinner, I had the chicken piccata with a baked potato and steamed green beans. The steamed green beans are a staple while there are a variety of other sides, such as onion rings or Alfredo, etc. I was a little disappointed in the piccata this time. It was less lemony and more oily than I remember. The lemon wedge helped, but I don't think that piccata would have to need additional lemon to the sauce. The green beans also a little heavy on the butter as was the baked potato. I don't want to say that the meal wasn't flavorful, because it was and my server while really busy was an absolute gem, only that it was a little heavy with the melted butter. After many excellent experiences here, this won't turn me off to coming back again and trying something else. Especially if I can get a table in the back!

After my daughter explained to the young man behind the counter what we're looking for, he went into the kitchen and came out with ribs samples... wow, we didn't expect that. He said that his father owned the restaurant and their ribs won in a competition for best ribs in Michigan some years ago. Needless to say it was absolutely delicious! The sauces were so delicious and the ribs smoky and tender. We got the ribs, pulled pork and sausage, with Smoky Mac and Cheese, and vegetables. I would certainly love to eat here the next time we're here.

It wouldn't have been the end of the world. The waitress who was Trainer came storming up to our table with napkins and told us that if we had a problem, we could take it up with her. There was a snarky exchange and my associate told her that there really wasn't any attitude or problem until she stormed up. Either way, the waitress that was training handled the whole situation poorly and I'm surprised that she was allowed to train anyone. I'm in town every week, but will not be going back.
