Loved the historic setting A variety of options on the menu. Had the cubano panini can't think of anything that was wrong. I loved that coleslaw was a side option. Fries crispy and flavorful. Nice staff.

We enjoyed eating in this historic building. The wait was just fine. Nice varied menu. Refreshing cocktails. Loved my beet salad. Son enjoyed his kids meal burger. Good quality& portion. Hubby's whitefish dish was light in texture and needed a bit more seasoning but was enjoyed. Was a nice highlight to our visit to this area. A definite local gem.

Ok this is a small town with not many options to choose from, so we asked at the hotel for recommendations and the girl at the front desk mentioned this place. We ended up coming and having to be put on a waitlist of about 30 min. The place inside is ok, it was unfortunate that we were seated at the very entrance and the weather was cold so o couldn't take off my coat as it felt cold at all times. Food was good. Our server was nice. My husband ordered 2 cocktails that were decent and the Friday special: fish & chips ( pieces were huge) I ordered scampi shrimps and mist day those have been the best ones I've ever had. The only reason for the missing star is literally the searing that should've not even existed during the cold weather.

The atmosphere is a vibe when you walk into the restaurant. It's a mix of history and lively plants with enormous windows. We sat further towards the windows (highly recommend for the views of Marquette). Several spots for instagram or TikTok worthy videos or pictures. The food was fresh with enough volume to constitute a meal instead of a snack. My peanut allergy niece was well taken care of by our friendly waitress, Jessica. She took the time to ensure we were happy, had what we needed, and gave us enough room to enjoy our conversation at the table. The Greek olive salad was highly recommended by our waitress and was the perfect selection. The lemon zest and fresh dill gave it the edge as my favorite Greek salad in Marquette yet. The dressing was zesty with the perfect amount of herbs. The lettuce was crunchy and fresh. The restaurant appeared clean, well maintained, and in good order. I would recommend a family meal, lunch with the gals, or a date here. Everyone left happy, full, and in a good mood after a great meal.

What can I say, trust the reviews and this is the best fine dining restaurant in town!! Ambiance - historic waterfront building with loads of charm. You feel like you're part of history when you step in. Very warm and inviting vibe! We were seated at the best table in the restaurant right in front of the big window overlooking the harbor. Food - nothing short of excellence! Very hearty and flavorful meals! The whitefish and the salmon are highly recommended for a reason. Very tender and flakey! Loved the wild rice and green beans as sides as they soak up all the yummy sauce. The whitefish chowder was amazing too with plenty of fish to enjoy. Overall, highly recommend this restaurant for an evening out or a special occasion!

The historic vibe is pretty neat. Great location in downtown Marquette, beer options were good and food was good. Basic menu.

Five Stars for great bar service from Lili. She was friendly, professional, and prompt! The annual visit to enjoy a delicious Rueben was met with great food and service. I appreciate that they serve more local beers/ciders. The place was jammin' busy w holiday tourists, but the bar top is always the best bet. See ya next summer.

This place has a cool vibe to it. We sat at the bar for lunch because it was an hour wait for a table. Staff was friendly. They have their own beer on tap. We had a chicken fiesta salad and a white fish over a house salad. The white fish didn't have much flavor to it. The ginger carrot soup was delicious. They make a lot of their own salad dressings.

Excellent food, as always. On the weekend you will need a reservation... this place is popular for a reason.

Stopped into The Vierling while in Marquette by recommendation of my hotel and had a really nice experience. The staff was super friendly and welcoming right away, which set the tone. I ordered the Cuban sandwich -- it was good (not my favorite I've ever had but definitely didn't disappoint and came with a huge side of crispy fries (way more than I expected, in the best way). The atmosphere is really cool too, with a mix of history and character that makes it feel unique compared to your average spot. Overall, a solid place to grab a meal and hang out

Food was delicious- good portions and prices. Cod was perfectly cooked. Whitefish was great as was the Parmesan crusted chicken, burger and Cubano panini. Service was great- very friendly servers and waitstaff. Didn't have a reservation on a Saturday night, but we're able to get seated right away. Will be dining here again. Very welcoming and cozy.

Really cool looking place and food matches the vibe of the restaurant. Super chill place, quality food, quick service and great beer. Whitefish was on point and cooked still juicy and flaky and full of flavor with fresh green beans and huge baked potatoes (ask for an extra sour cream). Great place to hang with friends or date night.

This is definitely a five star restaurant. Just stepping in the customer service is excellent. We came before 4 PM so it was quiet in the restaurant and we asked for a table by the window looking out over the water. The hostess quickly went over and cleared the table for us. The view was just amazing and we watched sailboats moving across the water while we ate our early dinner. This is our first trip to Marquette and hopefully it won't be my last. We came all the way from Maine and this was for us. The menu has lots of great items to choose from and we chose the smoked whitefish plate for an appetizer and it was phenomenal. It had crispy green apple slices and dill cream cheese spread to put on the bread and crackers with the smoked whitefish. I probably could've just eaten two plates of that. My husband got the Ruben and it was loaded with meat and he simply loved it and we got two French onion soups and I got the Greek salad which honestly could've easily fed four people. I highly recommend this restaurant. It is really really fantastic and you will feel well taken care of while there.

Written on the bottom of your bill. The dishes are scratch made, in house. Nice! The tabouli is too, has some mixed greens in it. There is something sweet in the dressing or the buckwheat, not my thing at all. Rest of the salad is good though. The baba ghanouj on its own is quite garlicky, slight Smokey flavor to it. It doesn't work with the pita crackers. Not loving this at all. The whitish dip is good. My hubby liked the sweet pickled for watermelon rind garnish, I didn't like them much. The spicy chicken sandwich on the brioche bun is really good. The chicken is super crispy. It's quite good. The whitish tacos are good. The whitefish seems to be blackened, really nicely. The fish is light and perfectly cooked. The whitefish chowder is so good! The tater tots are so delicious. No slouch here. Crunchy and so yummy! Food was so unique and quiet food. The side pepper fries are and slaw ate both a bit blah, compared to the majority of our flavorful meals Service is top notch.
