I came here for ramen and it was really good. First there were not alot of places still open at the time. I saw this place and it was a pleasant surprise. The soup was hot and flavorful . The dumplings were crispy and had a generous amount of filling . The service was good. The place is beautiful and a great place for dinner. I would definitely come back.

I went to the Whitney Museum with some friends and ended up at Kogane Ramen afterward because I was hungry, and I know ramen and appetizers was a good meal choice that night. The service was quick, and I was happy I didn't t have to wait long for my food. This place looks small on the outside, but it's quite spacious inside. I tried the spicy miso and loved how this ramen warmed me up from the inside. The broth had great flavor and just the right amount of spiciness. The appetizer was delicious. This place also has another location in Brooklyn if you want to try it yourself. I had a good experience and would recommend. I would return when you are in the area.

This cozy spot offers a variety of Japanese homemade fresh ramen dishes, and they are absolutely delicious! The Spicy Miso Ramen had a rich, savory flavor with a nice kick of heat. Also, there was a good amount of minced pork. The noodles had a good springy and chewy texture. Their signature ramen dishes are unique and look insanely good - Miso Lobster, Wagyu, Truffle or Yuzu Ramen. Overall, I would return, and probably try one of those signature dishes.

On a chilly night in Chelsea, we stopped into Kogane Ramen with a hankering for ramen in hot broth, and we left totally satisfied. We started with some edamame and blistered shishito peppers, sweet potato fries and pork jowl buns. When the ramen arrived, the bowls were brimming with deep umami broth and flavorful ingredients, with plenty of ramen noodles. I got the spicy vegetable ramen which had a good amount of spice and plenty of crunchy veggies to balance the smooth noodles. But before we left, we all had to split an ice cream sampler and a green tea mochi. A full meal - apps, deep bowls or ramen, and desserts, and we left with full, happy bellies. If you have a hankering for good ramen and Japanese flavor, get yourself to Kogane Ramen. You'll be glad you did!

This place hits the spot. Very cozy. Came here on New Years Day in the evening and they had tables available. The ramen is absolutely delicious . I got the spicy vegetable ramen and my friend got the lobster ramen and they were both bomb. We also had the spicy buns which were also yummy.

We stumbled across this place and it was perfect, we were sat very fast and ordered immediately. It was a very pretty restaurant inside. We started with the gyoza which came with a delicious sauce. Also the spicy miso ramen was hot and kept us warm with the snowy weather outsides it was super flavorful and delicious. Our server kept our waters filled and always made sure we were good.

It's been a minute since I left a review, but this ramen demanded it. The yuzu broth? Electric. Fresh, rich, & layered like citrus met umami and decided to show off. The pork jowl melts in your mouth ohh so good! The noodles hit that perfect spring, and the egg? Pure gold. Only complaint: it's served piping hot, so I'm sitting here like a kid waiting for Christmas, spoon in hand. Already planning my return for the truffle and miso lobster ramen. Consider me converted.

Cozy underground ramen joint near Meatpacking, met a friend here for a rainy day dinner and was seated immediately when we arrived around 6. Menu has a good assortment of ramen and donburi. I got the tonkatsu ramen and my friend got the tonkatsu rice bowl. Ramen was pretty solid and broth was flavorful, no major complaints. My friend said the katsu bowl was a bit spicier than she expected, so just a headsup on that. Because it is located in the basement though the ceiling is a bit low so it can get loud inside as the place fills up.

came here at night, cute little underground spot in the Chelsea area. Service was good and the food was decent. The ramen burger was hella greasy but the tofu and kimchi fried rice was good

My fiance and I came to this ramen restaurant after work. We ordered a ramen burger, lobster miso ramen, and parco ramen. I really enjoyed my parco ramen which was super flavorful. The soup itself was pretty thick but I like my ramen like that. The burger was unique since the buns were made out of ramen. They deep fried the ramen to make it a bun. The lobster miso ramen was yummy also. However, my fiance notice that the lobster meat was missing for one of them, and the server resolved it by giving another piece. Overall, I enjoyed my dinner and experience here. The service was good and decorations were nice. There are several tables but it will feel a bit cramped if you have a big party.

After a stroll through Chelsea Market we wanted something warm and soupy. Chanced upon this basement restaurant. (Stairs only) Cozy and warm, you will be seated close to other tables. Let's start with the appetizers. We ordered two skewers, the Bacon Asparagus and Chicken White Meat. Cooked to perfection, good seasoning, tasty sauce, and great crunch. We also got the Kogane Wings. Crunchy but a little bland, the sauce saved this dish. For our mains we got the Miso Lobster Ramen and Tonkotsu Ramen. Both broths were rich in flavors. The lobster was fresh and delicious! The lobster broth was a perfect blend of sea and heartiness. The veggies were good, the menma was much better than expected. The egg was slightly over cooked and the char siu was a bit fatty and gamey for both. The ramen was amazing, it was fresh and bouncy. Cooked al dente, every bite with broth was delicious. Be careful when enjoying though, there might be small pieces of the lobster shell for the miso lobster. Overall the restaurant is super solid. Skewers take time to come out since they are freshly grilled! Ramen noodles are freshly made and delicious. The broths were great, I would definitely come back to try the other options.

After walking around Chelsea Market on a late Monday cold night we wanted to grab something warm. Kogane had a good variety of ramen to choose from. There were also several items of appetizers too. I decided to get the parco ramen which is a curry based pork ramen. I loved how rich the flavor was. The ramen had a fried pork which absorbed the curry flavor well. The food was very fresh and I liked the doneness of the noodles at just the right texture. We also shared the takoyaki which was delicious. The sauce they put on top was sooo good. Prices were very reasonable. There is a credit card fee if you plan to pay by credit card, so best to pay with cash to avoid the processing fee. The decoration of the dining area was cool with the anime ramen art. Definitely will be going back in the future.

I just defaulted to Ichiran's suggested levels for everything which made it fast and easy. Once you're at your assigned cubbyhole, you can hang your coat up on the wall behind you and fill up your water cup at the machine also behind you. You don't even see the face of the person who brings out the ramen which gives the whole process a mysterious bank teller vibe. With all this, the classic tonkotsu ramen ($23) with slender noodles nearly gets overshadowed, but don't fret since it's fantastic. I believe when you're done, you just get up and leave. When you walk into the restaurant, you pre-order at the touchscreen to the right of the entrance and later when you're seated you give the order receipts to the server at your window. The food at this location is obviously going to be pricier than it is in Japan (came out to around $60 for 2 people), but it is SO worth it as you can't get Ichiran anywhere else besides in Japan.

For a restaurant, especially one serving customizable ramen dishes, with a allergy list post on the wall by the counter where I sat at B1, a little flexibility or empathy toward food allergies would go a long way. The interaction felt dismissive and unwelcoming, which made the overall dining experience uncomfortable. Customer service matters just as much as the food, and sadly this visit fell short. The smashed cucumber was good. Spicy dumpling was good. Ramen broth was light, not as rich or flavorful as others. There are so many good ramen places in NYC, this Chinese Ramen place has lot of room to improve.

The staff are polite and patient; one of them even picked up my phone for me after I dropped it mid-meal. During my trip, I was converted to a soba-lover, and while I don't think this is true soba here, they have "abura soba", what they describe as a "soupless ramen" (with a thicker noodle) which I was drawn to.
