Came here during a conference in Bellevue due to its convenient location. Unfortunately was pretty disappointed with the food. The menu is huge and pretty much has everything you can find in common Korean and Japanese restaurants. I shared the hoe do bap and the two rolls lunch special with someone, and also tasted my friends' pad thai and spicy pork. The sushis were pretty disappointing: not much taste or texture, very mushy. The only worst sushi I've had are the dry ones that you can find in supermarkets. The hoe do bap's fish did not taste fresh and the quantity of fish was small relative to the rice and salad. The pad thai was actually decent, but pretty similar to those that you would get at food courts. Finally, the spicy pork had no taste and even though it came on a hot plate, was luke warm. I liked the fact that the meal came with a miso soup and a salad beforehand though. The portions are pretty decent, I was very full after my meal. The prices were average. I have only tried maybe 2% of the whole menu, but based on what I've experienced, I probably will not be visiting again any time soon. read more

I dropped by here for a quick fix of sashimi, so my experience is limited to a brief stay at the sushi bar. Pros: + Good customer service experience. + The salad and miso soup were good. + The sashimi was quite delicious. + Food looked pretty. Con: - The sashimi was served in a deep bowl with a lot of shaved daikon, and for some reason a lot of water collected on the bottom of the bowl. Not sure if it was from the fish or something else, but it resulted in me skipping the daikon that I normally really enjoy when I get sashimi. read more

This review was for the bibimbap. You cannot go wrong with bibimbap yet they use American white rice instead of jasmine rice which gives it the crunchy texture on the hot pan. There was too much wet ingredients so this made the entire bibimbap soggy. I tipped $5 in cash since the waiter checked in on me three times. I will not come back. Waiters were excellent dine-in. Was excited to try this place based on what I'd heard about it. It was a cold Friday night and heard they had great miso soup so decided it was the night to go there. After getting parked which I paid for, I walked in at 10:20. I'm in the service industry and felt as though on a Friday night this was a reasonable time to come in and eat before they closed at 11. Unfortunately my friend and I were denied dine in service despite there being numerous people actively eating at the time. I've been coming here for lunch for years, but recently I've been coming here with my boyfriend for dinner. This is one of the best kept secret sushi spots in Bellevue. I've been seeing this restaurant on the way to work, so came to mind want to try this restaurant. After I ordered my food, the waiter gave me a miso soup and a salad which is really good. I ordered 3 things: California tempura roll, Unagi roll, and Tteokbokki. I wanted the California tempura roll to be spicy so the waiter give me an idea to put jalapeño on my roll, which is make a good taste. Unagi roll not like what I expect, less eel. So not really impressing me. Tteokbokki was okay taste the same like other korean restaurant but interesting part was they put 3 gyoza on the top of the Tteokbokki. The food here is pretty good. The quantity that you get with the chicken teriyaki bento box is pretty hefty. Though, I wish they gave more rice by default and add more sauce on the chicken teriyaki. As someone who's had high quality Japanese food before, I'd say the chicken teriyaki is decent. In regards to pickup, they always had my order correct and I never had any issues with their customer service. If you're looking for a quick late night dinner, or just a quick lunch, I definitely recommend Kobe. But if you're looking for high quality, above average bento box, I'd go elsewhere. The food is just...OK/GOOD. Not excellent nor great, but not terrible either. I can only speak for the pickup experience. I'm giving them 4 stars because they always had my order correct. read more

The craving for late night Asian food in Bellevue is a struggle, luckily Kobe opens until 11pm everyday, even on Sundays. It's street parking, but the times I go, it's easy to find close by parking and it helps that it's in a less busy part of Downtown Bellevue. Kobe serves Japanese/Korean food. I ordered the bento box, it comes with miso soup, salad, an entrée and choice of 2 additional sides. Their Korean BBQ short ribs are soooo yummy, it's nicely marinated. I have a weakness for short ribs anywhere. I like the bento box because you get a nice variety of several food at a decent portion size that definitely fills you up for only 16 dollars during dinner. This place is across the front entrance from the Marriott we were staying at this past weekend. We ordered the Mongolian beef and sesame chicken with rice and salad. Both were great but the chicken was served without seeds and they gave us spoons and chopsticks, no fork. Also, they didn't offer spring rolls or gyoza which I found odd for a place advertising to be Teriyaki. The staff was very nice at the front desk and helpful with the menu which is HUGE and offers so much more than just Teriyaki. read more

My friend got bulgogi hotplate but it was totally different than the picture. it was just some rice and bulgogi on a plate. We asked the server if that was the hotplate and they said yes. it didn't seem like my friend enjoyed his food. And I got ddukboki and it was just ok. We flew into Seattle and traveled to Bellevue and were tired and hungry. The hotel recommended this place and we are so glad they did! The service was very nice. They meet you at the door to see if you need to pick up an order, order something to go or want to dine in. The menu is not huge, but has plenty of choice and watching all the surrounding tables, it all looked amazing. We had the sesame chicken and the mongollon beef. The food came out quickly, hot and delicious. It was served with miso soup and a small salad and jasmine rice. There was too much to eat and we were hungry! This place delivers or you can take out using Grub Hub. I got one of the poke bowls last night and it was just what I needed after a flight. The bowl comes with about a cup of sushi rice, spring greens, scoop of seaweed salad, scoop of imitation crab, avocado and poke (I got salmon). I appreciated the spicy dressing on the side. It also came with a cup of miso (broth was tasty, not enough tofu though). There are lots of options on the menu that are of Korean, Japanese and Chinese influence. i've had their food a couple times, and i have to say they have very average food overall. their sushi imo is not very good (i tried a tempura roll, and their fried part was not crispy). they gave me old lettuce in their salad. i think they excel in some things more than others and they should just stick to those things than have this huge menu of stuff that's not great. the soft tofu soup, unagi bowl, tteokbokki (spicy rice cake), and spicy pork is good. the bento box is bad. their kimchi fried rice had an undercooked egg that's making my tummy hurt a lot right now. i already mentioned their sushi is very average. idk... i don't know how to feel about this place, but it's very close to my work, so my coworkers and i go here sort of regularly update: yeah my tummy is in way too much pain even after going to the bathroom. bumped this down to a two star. i want to like this place bc it's korean, and i want to support my people, but this kimchi fried rice screwed me up. i can't go back after this; i've been disappointed too many times :/ read more

Nothing fancy, but taste is decent, portion is large and price is good. Great place for a meal. I've passed this restaurant many times during lunch time, and the place is always packed. Finally when I get the chance to try a meal there myself, I totally understand why it's so popular. First of all, the portion is huge. Totally worth the money. The flavor is great. The tonkatsu is the best, crispy outside and juicy inside. The udon noodle get the right texture and not too soggy. The spicy miso ramen has quite a nice kick. My kid ordered the ramen, and the whole family loves that flavorful, no MSG broth. It's not a very fancy place, but the food is definitely great with good price. If your hungry, then go somewhere else. I didn't realize I was ordering from Nutrisystem. The food was on par with Panda Express with a third of the food and double the price. So disappointed that the owner did not call me back as promised. I had made my first uber eats order at this restuarant Nov 26th while moving apartments for almost $100! I hadn't been here before but the restaurant was open and it seemed decent. Not all of the menu options had descriptions but I ordered carefully (or so I thought) to accomodate our individual issues. When we received the order - we were so sad to see that we couldnt eat like $26 of the food we ordered because it contained crab meat. The avocado bomb appetizer says NOTHING about containing crab at all and the picture just shows big slices of avodcado. After being disappointed with dinner, I called the restaurant. After being handed off on the phone to two people, I gave all of my contact information to the last gentleman who said that the manager would reach out later that day or latest the next day - its been welllll over a week so I doubt anyone will be reaching out. The other food/portions were decent, slightly over priced but probably would've given a higher review, except for the deceiving menu items and then followed with lack of customer care/follow up! read more

Can't recommend the Ramen. Tonkotsu was served with a tender and pretty flavorful chunk of beef, a plain hard boiled egg, green onions, bok choi and way too many bean sprouts. No menma, kombu, or pork belly. The egg was not marinated, the noodles were overcooked (for ramen) and the broth had very little flavor. They hardly put any eel or sauce on it, and I didn't think it was worth paying $13.99 for :( The lobster popcorn was my favorite! I didn't know there were going to be california rolls at the bottom of the popcorn, so that surprised my table lol. The sauce on the lobster popcorn was yummy and fried to perfection! Absolutely not. Ordered with DoorDash and no, they actually did a great job arrive on-time (early) this time. It was the food from the restaurant being much less than satisfactory: when you spend $25 on two rolls of sushi, you'd expect something at least decent. I wish I took a photo of it to show 1) how tiny the portion was 2) how cheap they were with the filling (spicy salmon or whatever). But that still wouldn't show how under-cooked the rice was. I thought only the fish part was supposed to be raw. Now there's more rice than fish, I couldn't even bear to chew on the rock-hard grains. And there goes my lunch plans on a Friday afternoon. The fried chicken is underrated! It's underplayed on the menu but I would say it's one of the better things on the menu. There's a $26~ fried chicken and 2 beers combo which I highly recommend, stick with the spicy flavor, the plain one is a little plain. Everything else is generally fast food style food, not amazing but decent - a good option on a weeknight around bellevue. Seems like Kobe is not open on weekends though!? read more
