They prioritized my roof replacement due to the fact my roof leaked into my kitchen last winter! Courtious service, told me about materials discounted because color not being offered in the future. Helped me finance my new roof and allover EXPERT in what they do. Estimated how many plywood sheets needed to the exact amount after exploring and checking my old roof out. VERY VERY GRATEFUL FOR KOALA T EXTERIORS! My highest rating! read more

Over a year ago, I'd been home on vacation and let a the door-to-door guy talk to me about a roof. At the time, I was really in to the pitch, and the way they vent the roof (something I specifically needed), but I wasn't ready to buy yet. Time went by, and they'd called again. I told them I wasn't ready yet, but they wanted to "tell me about the new products" and update my estimate. I agreed, as I was closer to ready to buy. The guy comes out. Has no info from my previous estimate, which turned out to be a lie the phone salesperson used to get back in the door. I let that slide, and ultimately the new estimate came in lower than the previous year. High pressure "once I leave the deal is gone", but I was ready for a roof, so went with it. Shame on me for not shopping around, I"ll admit that. I had very specific venting needs due to an attic bedroom, and the salesman took notes to pass along to the install crew. I was working from home the first day of the install, so I was able to see the work as it was being done, most importantly, I was able to see the vent holes being cut in the wrong place. Very long story short... it took 3 phone calls and two visits from the foreman (over 2 days) to get the roof & venting installed correctly. Never could reach the sales person through this process, either. Final work looks fine (the only reason there are 2 stars) It comes time to pay, and the salesman is suddenly reachable again. He wants to swing by to pick up a check for the final amount. I'd planned to pay the remaining balance (thousands) with a credit card, but I wasn't informed this wasn't an option, unless I wanted to pay extra. Had I known I couldn't put it on a card, I would have purchased from a different installer. Shame on me again for not asking enough questions. Cherry on top. After all of this, the salesman asks me to write them a nice review, and gave me a few places I could submit them. He even told me I could get a $25 kickback for the review. Gee, thanks. Keep your cash, here's an honest review. Be smarter than me. Beware the door-to-door roofers, even if it costs you a little extra. read more

I had koala T Exteriors give me an estimate on my Roof. The estimator was polite, inspected my roof ( even got into the attic to make sure everything was ok). The estimator said that we still had a few years left on my roof:) :) :) :) well needless to say I was super happy with that news!!! I will have to say it's nice to have a honest opinion. We are now able to start saving for a new roof instead replacing it in a crunch. We will be replacing our roof with Koala T Exteriors when it comes time. read more

Great experience from beginning to end. They were very professional and did an amazing cleanup after our roof was completed. We're super pleased with their pricing as well. read more

We have used Koala-T for a few different projects with our homes over the year. Recently, we had a new roof and they did an exceptional job. So easy and quick! We would absolutely recommend them to family and friends! read more

Mr. Wilson stopped at the house, and told me all about the company. He was very honest, and noticed the roof was recently installed. No big sales pitch! Mr. Wilson left a brochure and said to give him a call if we had needs for upgrading our home's exterior. Mr. Wilson is an excellent representative for this business. I had my roof and gutters replaced by Koala T a couple of years ago, but I wanted to wait to post a review until I was sure I wouldn't have any post-install issues. My home had its original concrete tile roof and I liked the look of the roofing, but I started experiencing substantial leaks around my chimney when we had high winds and rain. The salesperson explained that this type of roofing will last a very long time, but the original underlayment will not last as long (home was built in the 80's). I could decide to remove the roofing to replace the underlayment and necessary plywood and reinstall the tiles or get an all new roof. The cost of labor and materials to reuse/replace concrete tiles was cost prohibitive, so I decided to replace the roofing with modern materials, and went with their Presidential product as it provided the most substatial look as compared to what I was used to. My original gutters had also developed leaks over the years, so I decided to have them replaced as well. I was honestly a little worried that I would be disappointed in the look, but I was thrilled when the new roof was installed. My favorite part was unexpected though- in the summer the upper floor used to get much hotter than downstairs, even though I have air conditioning. Now that the roof is properly vented the upstairs maintains the same temperature as downstairs! read more

A door-to-door salesman shows up, talks to me, I was in fact in the market for a re-roof, so she sets me up with a "free roof inspection". The "inspector" comes out, on-time, proceeds to inspect the roof, but at the end of it, rather than presenting me with some sort of inspection report, he instead presents me with a roofing proposal, that was obviously made long before he ever looked at the roof (hmmm...). The proposal even included financing, and allegedly a "big one-time discount", of 20% or so. It was a high pressured "take it or leave it" deal. Everytime I asked him a question he got extremely defensive, and deflected the question. The whole thing was very awkward and uncomfortable, so I declined.... best decision I ever made! After a bunch of research I contacted 3 other (imo more legit) roofing companies, all of which have excellent ratings, many years in the business, and tons of referrals. All of their bids were between 30% and 50% less than Koala-T. Koala-T is "flim flam". Do your research! They have no references and very few reviews saying that they successfully completed a job. The way Koala-T conducts business is pretty shameful imo. read more

A salesperson shows up at my door. They are extremely rude to my roommate, gave him attitude for no reason, talked about "spray paint" on my roof (it was moss treatment, which, you would think, a roofing/exterior home company would be familiar with this), all while completely ignoring the large "NO SOLICITING" sign on my property and front door. Hopefully, Angie was nicer to other people she stopped at that day.. read more

Is there a zero star option? This company is very rude and unorganized. We told them we would not be using them for our roof replacement, but I still I received several phone calls from the company. I received one call at dinner time, where the caller was extremely rude and talked over me. I told him I had to hang up on him and he needed to stop calling me. Immediately after that I blocked his number and he called me on a private number, and was extremely rude again. Do not give this company your information! I wish I hadn't... read more

After discussing options with the sales manager, Jarrett, I chose Owens Corning Duration Designer shingles. The warranty is good for 50 years and transferable. The finished roof looks good. It was completed within 3 days. The first day, 2 layers of shingles were removed. Five men worked from 8 - 5 p.m. The second day, the new roofing materials were delivered. On the third day, the men installed the new roof, working from around 9:30 - 5:30 p,m. They were trying to get it done before the heavy rain came. As it was dark, a couple of men returned the next day to clean up the debris around the yard. Jarrett was helpful in explaining the process of removing the 2 layers of shingles and the Owens Corning Roofing System. The installation team were very hard workers. I would recommend Koala-T Exteriors for a new roof. read more

When you need a new roof, it is overwhelming to see the long list of contractors on Google and to know where to begin. it was actually a relief to have someone come to the door to offer to set up an appointment for an estimate on a new roof. This was done without pressure, and the response time was quick. I have had previous quotes and was more in the fact finding stage of the process, but the salesman, Jarrett, obviously knew the industry and product, which made me decide it was time to get the job done and get it done well. The price quoted was in the middle, which he stated it would be, but the lack of overdramatic hype and focus instead on quality, cost and efficiency made me confident that the process was going to be painless and the end product a work of beauty protected by a guarantee. Information about financing was straightforward and all my questions were directed to the financing people to ensure answers were accurate. My roof was up within three weeks. It took two days and included two beautiful sky light replacements. Gutters can also be done, but I was not pushed into this at all. The roofers were both friendly and polite and the work was done neatly with excellent cleanup afterwards. A roof is a big investment and a project most homeowners dread plunging into. I would not hesitate to recommend Koala-T as a company who takes this responsibility seriously while being both competent and very easy to work with. A very big thank you to Jarrett, Pat and all involved in the process! read more

I would give this company no stars if I could! A door to door salesman ignored all 3 of my No Soliciting signs!!! They are clearly posted at the front of my house, on my door and at my doorbell. We have a new roof and the salesman was trying to get me to do a free inspection! I am tired of companies like Koala disrespecting us homeowners! read more

So they have a front person set up a consultation with you. Pretty high pressure but I allowed him to set up the appt. I am looking at a roof. I met with Steve who said he would have a bid for me the next day. Tells me how great they are. That was July 21st, 2018. Frankly the deal felt slippery and since I received no estimate and no responses to my 3 emails I will choose to believe they or he is. As always buyer beware. Maybe everyone else is ok,but I would be careful. read more

A appointment maker stopped by yesterday and said I need to consider getting my house re-roofed. The house is 18+ years old. I have taken good care of the roof and felt I could wait a couple more years. But I agreed to have an inspector from Koala-T come over to check it out. I was told the inspector would even go into the crawl space to check out the under side of the roof. The "inspector" arrived as scheduled but was a salesman who did not inspect the roof other than look at it from the driveway. He told me he was just a salesman. I had check the company out at Yelp and checked that t was licensed in the state. The Yelp reviews indicated the company had not done many roofs - mostly window replacements. There were good ratings about the window replacements. There were a couple complaints mostly about the aggressive nature of the sales pitch. When the "inspector" salesman (Craig) arrived he had what I assumed was a trainee with him. He tried to explain to me what was wrong with my roof (fiberglass showing on the edges) - I was not convinced. I asked the salesman for references of roofs they had done in my neighborhood. He said he could not do that for reasons of privacy unless I first signed a contract for a new roof. I told him I would not consider a company unless I could get reference from homes he had done in my neighborhood. The discussion then degraded. I told him I was done and would not consider a company without local references. He did not give up and continued to say he would give me reference after I signed a contract. Things got worse. Finally I said we are done and went back in he house and he and his trainee when back to his car. They stayed parked across the street for a while probably figuring out where they were going next. I will not do business with this company. read more

I have had 2 appointments with Taunya and screwed up the time of both - the 1st I stayed home from work sick and today friends took me for a day trip to the coast - writing this on our way! My son called to let me know Taunya stopped by for our apt this morning! My rating is on their follow thru and timeliness - which from past contractors has left a lot to be desired - Koalat has superior follow thru and time management (mine in this case sucked)! read more
