We come here often, whenever we visit Waikiki. Great drinks, great people, great views...everything one could ask for from a beachside booze shack. Finding seating can be difficult, but generally doable. Highly recommend!
I really enjoyed the interaction when ordering and my Mango Lava Flow cocktail was very good and the sample of the original Lava Flow was as terrific. Be careful - too many of these could be dangerous! Loved being able to get a casual drink at the waters/beach edge of Waikiki. Bonus - great music, wave action and people watching.
Absolutely perfect location just a few feet from the water. Kimo is warm, friendly and an ambassador for all things Hawaiian - the true spirit of Aloha Great selection of refreshments including local cocktails! In case you forget, there's a handy supply of complimentary sunscreen available. Showers and rest rooms approx 100 yards away. Arrive about 30 mins before opening (check sign for time - either midday or 1pm) to secure a seat.
Kimo, the bartender whipped up some mighty fine cocktails . This bar sits DIRECTLY on the water, can't get any closer without falling in.
Best Bar Experience in Hawaii! This beach bar made our whole trip. The owner is amazing -- the friendliest vibe, great energy, and he makes the best drinks we've had on the island. Prices are great, the music is perfect, and he even treated us to free drinks throughout the day. Such a fun, welcoming atmosphere. We're adding pictures because this spot deserves all the love. If you're in Hawaii, you have to stop here!
Save some money! Koa oasis is attached to the hale Koa hotel. For servicemen and women you get a great price and for regular Joe haoles it's still a good deal. I think the mai tai were 12 bucks. Usually around 18 bucks down the street or at the hotels or more . And they're good drinks too and the bartenders are nice people. The customers are great. The military folks are in shape, the place is well run. Go to the US Army museum up the hill. It's free and it's awesome. I love that battery Randolph & the history of the whole thing. They have a good hotdog there and it's inexpensive. I forget what the other food is but the whole thing is great. You sit there and look at the ocean and enjoy your dranks from the tables. The more I think about it it's really a can't miss if you're staying at Hawaiian Village you just walk right over there, they open at 11. Aloha! Five stars.
It doesn't get better than this - a pretty drink watching a gorgeous sunset! We got really lucky with scoring the last table, and I got the mango flow, which is a little twist on the normal strawberry puree for a lava flow. It was delicious! For our second round, I got the sunset lemonade and my husband got the lava flow. Kimo was so friendly! This will be one of my guaranteed evening plans every time I'm in Waikiki!
Easy to find! Right on the beach front. An extension of the hale koa hotel. Sweet bartender, good quality drinks at decent prices. Great place to watch the waves & have a drink!
as you walk by this place admiring the beautiful surroundings, do yourself a favor and sit down here and enjoy a mai tai. Yes i know, but trust me on this one .. quick service, great drinks, aloha!
We came to hangout on the beach and saw this place right on the boardwalk. Went with a frozen mai tai and it did not disappoint. Really tasty and low price! They closed by the time I could go back for a second drink sadly but highly recommend!
Walked 3.5 miles from the port to go to a locals beach bar. It is exactly that. Beautiful view of the waves. Totally enjoying this place!
Amazing view, atmosphere, drinks and service. The gentleman cooking and serving drinks was also very diligent about sanitizing the tables and providing excellent customer service. I had a Mai Tai and Mango Flow. Both were delicious. He also sent the drinks off with a cup of ice water, which is so thoughtful. You can't beat this view and price. There are other beachfront bars around, but this is right at the edge of the water. The music was very aloha. It's extremely convenient to be close to the restrooms also.
This is such a cool place to stop when biking or walking along the Waikiki shoreline. We were riding our bikes and discovered that they were open again! Since our last visit, they added more tables and umbrellas to enjoy the view. This place is totally laid back casual and if you are feeling hot, you can just walk a few feet and jump in the water. Great mai tai's on the waterfront makes for a very relaxing stop. They don't serve much food, just hot dogs and chips but its all about the view and cocktails! read more

Casual, easy, good drinks, yummy hot dog. Most of the places on the beach are more upscale but this is a drink stand with some tables and chairs out front. You're very close to the beach and it's a great spot to people watch. The food is limited but sometimes less choices are for the better! They were closed for awhile due to COVID but have opened up and the place seems to be poppin! read more

A perfect spot for some cocktails right on the beach! If you're looking for a more casual and less pricey option for drinks by the beach then this is your spot! They have tables in front of the shack to enjoy the view and your drink. All the cocktails are $13 with on the rocks or blended choices. The bartender was very friendly and had such a happy vibe. He was quick with our order and made some delicious and strong drinks! I would definitely come back to this spot. Pick up some Steak Shack a few steps away if you're hungry and it's a perfect afternoon! read more

Beautiful little spot to have a drink and watch the sunset. Not really a place for food but they have some things to nosh on such as hot dogs and such. Closes at 7pm but the tables and umbrellas remain so you can hangout and people watch. Great spot to catch the fireworks Friday nights at 8 pm next door at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Military discount but general drinks range about $14 for cocktails and $8-12 (big cup) for beers. No reservations, no problem. Come on down. read more

Coming here was one of the highlights of our visit to Waikiki. The bartender/proprietor was very kind to me and my mom who was in a wheelchair. He offered her a free drink and helped us get to a table, even as other customers were lining up. He showed a level of kindness to her that really brightened our day. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a peaceful, great bar in Waikiki. read more

Awesome bartender | Less expensive, more drinks $ The guy who served us 4 rounds of drinks was AWESOME. I think I was gone by the second drink, but this is a much better place to buy drinks than the ones closer to the Hilton. It's a popular spot with all the people at the beach, so finding a place to sit may be tough. First round -- mai tais Second round -- mai tais w/complimentary daiquiris Third round -- strawberry daiquiris Fourth round -- beer Don't judge. Mai Tais are a couple dollars less than the other bars in the area. Also, a discount if you're in the military. Would definitely hit this place up again if I'm vacationing here. read more

Sweet location right on the sand. Bartender Bobby is cool. $8.25 mai tai. $7.25 large draft beer. Around 8 tables with chairs and some high top seating. Some chairs and tables might have ants and need cleaning (get over it. It's outdoor seating at the beach). The mai tais come out of a gun but taste pretty good. I'm not sure about the "best" though. Come to watch sunset. read more

The Koa Oasis Became our go to afternoon cocktail on the beach during a fabulous stay at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. We always found a couple of empty seats. We always found a smiling bartender. And we always had fantastic cocktails. I just wish I could've gotten a mimosa there in the morning during my walks along the beach. read more

Absolutely the best little discovery in all of Waikiki. Cheap drinks right in the beach?! Heck yes! The guy inside the shack who takes your order and money is the kindest, happiest, friendliness guy! I regret I can't remember his name, but he's awesome. read more
This is one of my favorite little hidden gem's in Waikiki. You really can't beat the combination of price & location for this establishment. I believe it is connected with the Hale Koa, because they offer a military discount and the cups say so, lol. I enjoy visiting here when I would like to have a good, strong, refreshing, well priced Mai Tai within feet of the beach and sand. There are no frills here in terms of ambiance but there will be a pineapple in your drink and it will be made well. Being a professional (as I consider myself, lol) Mai Tai taster isn't easy but I give this one a 7/10 and you should definitely swing by and check out Koa Oasis! I am honestly not sure about anything else they may serve because I only come here for the Mai Tais and the friendly man who makes them, Kimo. read more

Straightforward little trailer on the beach. Cheaper alcohol than the resorts and a nice view of sunset. Hawaiian Punch is good once the ice melts......but I'm a weak drinker. Couple little tables and a bar, that's all there is too it. For food- just hot dogs and chips. It's mainly for the drinking bunch read more
