My server at the bar was Blake! Who was very sweet and friendly. Ordered the happy hour onion rings and fish taco. Definitely simple and easy happy hour

Long overdue review. My favorite place to eat and drink! I've tried almost everything on the menu. My favorites include the kalbi (plate and salad), fish and chips, Kalua pork quesadilla, fish tacos, and the tomato bisque. The food is great (and it takes a lot to get on my repeat list too ). There's live music some nights. It's a welcoming bar with excellent bartenders that make you feel at home. The happy hours are great. For locals that want to come and park it's 3 hrs for $3 with validation after purchase of foods or drink!

Live Music every day from 7pm-10pm

My brother and I stopped by for some beers. The lounge is located in the Hilton Waikiki Beach Resort on the lobby floor. It's spacious but only with tables and seating -- there isn't a dance floor or much room to stand and chat. The performance stage is a good size and these folks have a live music schedule set up in that there are different local artists performing each night of the week. You can find the live performances from 7pm to 10pm every night. The bartender was very sweet. He noticed that I was in a wheelchair from a foot injury and he made me a custom ice pack which was just a plastic bag filled with ice. It's the thought that counts -- very considerate gesture. The small plates and beers we had were good. For the two of us, we probably spent about $180 which is probably on the pricier side but the live music, good service, and cute atmosphere took part into that bill.

Came for the happy hour on a recent 3 night stay. The seating is super comfortable right off the lobby and the happy hour prices are outstanding. $7 for a nice glass of bubbles.

Located in the Lobby of the Hilton Kuhio, I knew this place existed, I just didn't know it had a name. What do you expect when you are staying at a hotel? Obviously a bar down stairs, live music, "pup's and great company. So guess what, you will find this all at this hot spot. Ticked in the back of the lobby, this hotel bar is hidden and provides for a place to sit and relax while enjoying a nice adult beverage. Offing live music every night of the week, with known musicians like Yoza, its a great place to sit and relax. Connected with Mac24, you can also enjoy any of the food items from the Full Menu. They do offer a scaled down version for the bar setting, but you know you want to get those pancakes or loco moco to fulfill that appetite. Happy Hour pricing makes this a great place to stop in while you are venturing into Waikiki. Everyone knows parking is an issue so you can either Valet or park at the near by Honolulu Zoo on Kapahulu, which is a nice short walk away. Don't tell everyone or this place might be to crowded.

So, to say this is a lobby bar, would strike the nail right on the head. The other reviews on here must definitely be friends of the performers since there is no true way to be blown away by this place in any way. The happy hour pricing is awesome, food is again, just ok, as it is a smaller sampling of the food from the adjacent restaurant. Service was tight and polite, and the entertainment was ok. Given, the people tipping kept asking for Metallica (in Hawaii) so, I understand why he was obliging. There are similar if not better happy hour options all over the island, including a better happy hour on the 10th floor pool deck. Go up there. You'll thank me later. :)

We started our vacation with dinner at the Hideout, and upon entering you could immediately hear live music. We received a warm welcome, and brought over to our booth where our server Kai was quick to greet us. We ordered cocktails (I don't remember the name of mine. It's something spritz, and my husband tried the banana bread old fashioned) and we shared the appetizer platter (brussel sprouts with pork belly, kalua pork egg rolls, poke tacos, and edamame)to share. We also ordered the garlic shrimp dumplings. Everything was super tasty. Lots of other items on the menu that I want to try during another visit to the island.

I initially tried the bakery directly across the street at the International Marketplace, but they didn't open until 7am. I began to walk towards a distant Starbucks I found on Google and noticed an active escalator and signage pointing towards the open Hideout at the Laylow. Advertising local coffee, I immediately took the ride upstairs and was greeted by two young ladies full of smiles and Aloha spirit! Being summertime and hot (even at 6am) I ordered a large iced latte and decided to drink it on their large open lanai. I'm glad I did. The breezes up there were perfect and watching the daylight get brighter with local birds chirping and fluttering about made for a very nice wake-up! This became my go-to stop every morning of my visit! I only ordered breakfast once and kept it low-carb so I had cheesy eggs and Portuguese sausage. Perfect and hit the spot. If staying at the Laylow (Marriott product) or close by, I'd recommend this as your morning wake-up as well! Enjoy!

The…read moreambiance is lovely and service excellent Why I demoted them a star was the pretty cocktails I saw in Yelp are gone. There's no: "Moonglow" (Benny Goodman) or "That was my heart" (honor to Ella Fitzgerald), so I asked for my favorite aperitif, "Dubonnet" , no. But, they came up with my other favorite, sambuca Mist. I have to agree with another reviewer that the French baguette served with the charcuterie was hard as could be and inedible. I did not enjoy the choice of cheeses as they were both of the same hard boring tastes, unimaginative, mix it up. They olives should be pitted. The tiramisu dessert was very delicious, even though very small, but expected--after all its fine dining. I have no other way to tell new manager to up their game in the food and beverage department. Just wouldn't expect Halekulani to slip in these departments. Also, manager never came around or was seen checking in his or her patrons, not very 5 star there. Just being honest. The complimentary valet parking was exceptional. Thank you for a very enjoyable evening.

I immediately felt calm and relaxed here, much like everywhere else at Halekulani. The pūpū and drinks we ordered were special, thoughtfully prepared, and professionally delivered. We also ordered the hamburger, which was excellent, followed by two French press coffees and coconut cake. The staff was unpretentious and welcoming from the start--nothing stuffy despite the sophisticated setting. The musicians are so talented it felt more like a private concert or dinner theater. The pianist, Maggie, is a singer-songwriter who taught us a few things and kept us engaged the entire time. We caught up on our day, ate, and enjoyed the show. Reservations are for two hours, so there was no rush at all. Overall, this is a classy spot for a relaxed night out. Prices are about what you'd expect but even stopping in after dinner elsewhere would be nice. Reservations are not needed for the bar. The only thing I would do differently is arrive earlier to enjoy the grounds more before sunset. Valet park and enjoy your night!

Tucked on the second floor of a Piikoi Parkway building, it feels like stepping back in time, a true bespoke bar with vintage art, moody lighting, and comfy couches that make it perfect for couples or a night out with friends. We sat at the bar, which was a highlight, Michael and Tony were welcoming, easy to talk story with, and clearly know their craft. I went with the Barreled Old Man, a smooth, layered mix of bourbon, rye, and brandy that just worked, while my wife's Sesame Veil brought a nutty, balanced flavor that stood out. For round two, the Espressing My Love was a great take on an espresso martini, and Michael built my wife a custom drink off her favorite flavors and nailed it again. We paired it with the smoked mozzarella and salami grilled cheese and Ho Farms tomato soup, and this is where it really hit. The sandwich came out hot and crisp, and when you took a bite the cheese pulled away just right, that perfect melt, with the salami adding a savory kick. The tomato soup was fresh, bright, and made for dipping you didn't want to stop. We were welcomed with a table that had our name on it, a small touch that goes a long way. Prices are on point for the quality and experience you're getting. It's a bit of a hidden, hip spot, not for a quick drink but for when you want to sit, relax, and enjoy it. Parking is tight, but you can park at Ala Moana and walk over, and it's worth it. Next time we're coming back for Grandma's Old Fashioned and the pork belly bao buns.
