Arnold is one of my favorite dive bars in Waikiki. Always a blast great vibe and mix of tourists and locals. I love their juke box you can control the music thats being played which is fun. The alcohol isn't overpriced the staff is friendly and they have some pretty yummy hotdogs which hit yhe spot after a night out on the town LOL. Not fancy but so much fun. read more

This place was packed when I came through after 11 PM. Shoulder to shoulder packed. It was honestly a little tough getting in and out because so many people were hanging out by the entry walkway, but that kind of comes with the territory here. This is a great spot to grab a drink if you want something that feels closer to a local dive bar vibe, even though it is right in the heart of Waikiki. You are not really dealing with locals raised on the island, but more people who live in the area or regulars who clearly make this part of their routine. It has that laid back, no frills energy that makes it easy to settle in for a drink or two. The barbacks were clearly busy, but drinks still came out quickly, which I appreciated. Overall, the vibe feels very tiki bar meets dive bar. Strong pours, loud music, and a crowd that is there to hang out rather than be seen. It adds to the fun, especially later at night. Originally went here because of hearing/reading about inexpensive mai tai's in a dive bar...this is not a dive bar by any means and the mai tais are $13 a pop and are tasty but hardly authentic....kinda sweet syrupy but strong. Setting is pleasant across the street from the post office with a Tiki wood carving out front and with tropical tiki bar design elements throughout but in a more modern updated way .... Love the automatic mister that keeps things cool out on the lanai. Best thing about it was meeting a nice newly wed couple and sharing our enthusiasm with them starting their life journey together. read more

Arnold's is a great little (yes,small) divish bar tucked away down an alley. It's a fun place with some live music, at least on the night we were there. There were 2 bartenders working and service was great. We enjoyed a Mai Tai, delicious! So we had a second one - they are powerful! If we were locals, we'd be regulars at Arnold's. read more

I'm so sorry to have to rate Arnold's so badly. I've been visiting several times a a month as airline crew since before it was Arnold's. I love this place but can no longer stay silent. Arnold's has become a victim of their own success. I'm sure they are profiting handsomely but when your well cocktails cost the same as Wolfgang's or Botanico you have to draw a line. There is no reality that an Arnold's should cost $14! Wolfgang's cost $14 and are much better. Monkeypod has an ocean view. Botanico just got voted the 2nd best restaurant in the Hawaiian islands! Obviously this an example of charging the tourist what they are willing to pay. Good for you. But it works both ways. I used to be proud to wear my Arnold's shirt. I'm now ashamed. GREAT PLACE!!!!!! It was listed as a dive bar on some review I saw, I don't get that, it's a nice local place, very chill and comfortable place to hang out. The Bartender Lizy is one of the things that really makes the place, makes a great Mia Tia, and really helped us out with some local knowledge, we really appreciated the help. Great tiki vibes and service. Bartender was very personable and casual but still quick with drinks, accurate with the tab, and gave great drink recs. We got a painkiller, li hing margarita, and some beers. We tried to go back another night but seating was limited, so be wary on a busy weekend night you might have to stand. They started out by carding me at 40, which I loved, then someone immediately put a puppy in my arms I named him Pablo but later found out his name was Taz when he was abruptly taken from my arms. Funny how you don't know something exists even though you pass by almost every day?! Visited Arnold's Beach Bar & Grill for the first time ever last week, after working in the area almost my whole career. This little tiki bar is tucked away next to Eggs & Things on Saratoga Rd. It's a small entrance that is super easy to miss. The second you walk in you have lots of cute plants and greenery which is a huge plus for me lol. It was empty when we went around happy hour time, we had a large work group & settled outside on one of their tables outside. Staffing is lean - looks like just one bartender taking care of the whole bar. They may have more staff later in the evening. Either way, she was friendly even while busy taking care of everybody on her own. Beer & drinks were very affordable, not a very big food selection but they had 2 hot dogs (regular & Portuguese sausage which sounded good). I filled myself up with beer so there was no chance to try them :P If you are in the area, check them out! read more

Very friendly and welcoming bartender! Unassuming place just a few steps along the path. Music is fun and enjoyable- just what you would expect from a beach bar and grill. The drinks were good and reasonably priced. You belly up to the bar to order so don't hesitate. Popcorn was a free treat. I didn't get food this time but will be back to try. Looking for good (and cheap) drinks a few blocks from the beach? Then Arnold's is the place. They open early and close late and they have cheap drinks all day long (although the drinks are cheaper during the day, the prices go up a dollar or two at night). Even though it's a beach bar you still need to wear a shirt and shoes and there's no smoking or vaping on the patio. There's always free popcorn and they offer a variety of hot dogs at night. Definitely worth a stop when you're in Waikiki. read more

We were in HNL for our annual Thxgiving visit w/ my folks. I've always wanted to check this place out. So, we did. It was very cozy and unassuming. It's got great local ambiance, and it's kinda hidden. If you're near Waikiki, and wanted to chill w/ the locals, check this place out. read more

Staycay up the street at a pretty hoity toity hotel. But hubs always wanted to try Arnold's so we finally did. Went at about 3:30. Had a handful of people there. Hubs on a mish to try all the mai tais in Hawaii, so he had that. He did not care for it. Not enough alcohol, too much of something else. But he drank it, and moved on to the POG mai tai. He said better but didn't seem to enjoy it much. I had a lihing marg. Choke li hing powder, makes me believe it's bottom shelf tequila...which honestly, I'm okay with sometimes. Was it the best? No, but was drinkable. Ordered a portuguese sausage that came with some mango mustard and pineapple relish. The dog was good, but i'm not a fan of the fruity sides. Hubs enjoyed it. Baby did too. Came with a little bag ruffles...which the baby claimed but did share. Overall, a good time. A little hot during the day. Very much a touristy dive bar, but kinda cute. read more

Great bar! This is a terrific local divey beach bar with a tiki theme. My friend and I came here late one night and had great drinks and I ended up coming back the next day. Brie is a terrific bar tender with a great personality. The locals who come are all friendly and the vibe is chill. I didn't try the food but wanted to and will next time I'm back! read more

Logan saved my life. This human being rescued me from choking in the middle of a busy night. She gives incredibly rapid pours of beers. If the world was ending, all I would need is Logan and a full bar. My dog was choking at home, and Logan telepathically connected to me to let me know that something was astray. Positive: I heard that the building used to be a horse stable, which is interesting. I appreciate the bar's atmosphere and the free popcorn. I think the drinks are relatively affordable for Waikiki, too. Negative: There are a number of photos on the walls that exhibit female nudity. There is also a big statue of a nude female figure in the establishment. I am disappointed to have been confronted by such sexually charged paraphernalia when going out with my friends. read more

I came here on a Saturday night and it was quite packed but I loved the Tiki bar vibe. It's a chill place to hang out with mostly locals. The offered a good selection of beach cocktails which are priced very reasonably as well. I had the Blue Hawaii cocktail and it tasted pretty well, it was quite refreshing. The bar was playing some old school songs which went really well with the vibe of the bar. Would love to visit this place to try more stuff from their cocktail menu and would recommend for anyone who's trying to have a laid back time. read more

Definitely check this place out if you're looking for a cheap place to drink. We paid $9 for a Mai tai which to me was relatively cheap compared to other places that I've seen around Waikiki. Beers were $4 during the day and $5 at night. That's a steal, especially given how expensive things can be on the island. They've got tiki bar vibes too, which is cute. It's not that big of a place, so I can imagine this can get busy quickly late at night. The servers were great and attentive! Overall, a good dive bar in the area. read more

Came here with some of my friends to get some night drinks! The bar is kind of tucked away and had more of an older crowd there. Very chill vibes and there is free popcorn (that in my opinion, needed some more salt and butter, but hey free popcorn is free popcorn!) The drinks themselves were okay. The tiki tea tasted pretty watered down. Overall, this is a very chill bar to just grab drinks in and chill with friends but it wasn't very exciting in my opinion.
