That was a very good experience, but what made me want to return was the conversation I had with the guy who did the inspection. He told me that he'd worked at other auto repair shops, but had never been treated as well as he was treated at Murphy's. That told me all I needed to know. So when I needed scheduled maintenance on my car, I made an appointment at Murphy's. When I called, the person had all my info in his system (because of the inspection sticker). Scheduling was easy, and I dropped the car off this morning. They called me with an estimate, and told me my front brakes would need to be replaced next time, but it wasn't necessary for today. He told me everything that needed to be done per the scheduled maintenance for my car, and I asked him to go ahead and do that. I'd dropped the car off at 8am, and by 1:30pm, all was complete. The charge was very reasonable, I picked up the car, and all was great. I would absolutely go there again.

Instead of yanking it out…read moreand potentially watching my tire go flat, I scheduled a same-day appt at Sullivan and asked for help. Tim (behind the counter) explained they'll pull it out, see if the tire is leaking, and we'll go from there. Luis (in the garage) took my car and let me know if the tire is punctured and leaking it'll need to be replaced based on where the nail was stuck. (Blargh.) Then after getting the nail out and checking it for a leak, I got the great news that it wasn't leaking. (Yay!) Luis took my car for a quick test drive to confirm the tire sensor didn't kick on (it didn't) and handed it back to me. They took my car on time, kept me up to date and every step, and used a floor mat to keep my car clean. The whole appt only took about 30 minutes, and they had free WiFi so I was able to work while I waited. I got lucky this time, and they certainly earned my business when it's time to make a real tire/service purchase.

The original estimate was done from the ground, however when the technician was able to get the unit out of the frame, (This is an old style window), we both saw that additional work had to be done. After a few days, there was some weird thing/sound going on, so he came back to check it out. Of course, there was another part that had to be replaced. Who knew windows were so complex? Not me.
