Nice people, they have all been there for a while, capable location, good hours, next to Dunkin' Donuts and the mall. I have done a lot of repairs and maintenance with them, and I will say that they do decent work, but you sometimes need to make sure they finish. For instance, today, they change my oil, but forgot to give me the sticker, so I had to come back for it. Later, I had detected that they broke my glove box Replacing the cabin filter. Brought it back a third time, and they fixed it with a smile. Not a great world anymore, glad they are in it. Sean was great. read more

I went to Firestone over labor day weekend for two front tires. I left the car there at 10am because I didn't want to wait around all day. They finally called me at 3:30 to say they ran there diagnostic and said I needed an air filter and new wipers, I said that was fine. They finally called me at 4:45 to say the car was ready, they close at 5pm and I live 25 minutes away so I said I would pick it up the next day. When I got the first bill I was quoted 480.00 for the tires and alignment. I was surprised to get charged 682.00 so the wipers and air-filter cost $200 dollars more. The biggest surprise I got was when I started my car up and the engine light was on, which was not on when I dropped off on Sunday. I complained and the service manager continued to gas light me and say it came there with the light on which is bull. So I don't know if they thought if they turned on the light they could hose me for more money or they screwed up when they put the air filter in. But all they did was blame me. Be cautious--they might charge you for services they didn't actually perform. I brought my car in for a tire rotation, but the experience was frustrating from start to finish. When I first arrived, they were too busy to take my car and asked me to make an appointment for the following day. I returned as scheduled, but again, they were busy and told me I'd have to wait 2 to 3 hours. I ended up dropping off my car and arranging for someone to pick me up. About two and a half hours later, they called to say my car was ready. However, I quickly noticed that they hadn't done the tire rotation. When I called the store and spoke to the manager, Sean, he insisted that the rotation had been done, claiming he had watched the technician perform the service. I pointed out that it was impossible because one of my front tires had a different color stem valve cap, and the other front tire had much more tread due to a flat tire I had a year ago. Despite my explanation, Sean insisted that the rotation had been done and told me to return to the store to prove it. Reluctantly, I drove back and showed him the evidence. After speaking with the technician, Sean admitted that the rotation wasn't done because the technician thought all the tires had the same tread and didn't need rotating. Sean then backtracked, saying he hadn't actually watched my car, but rather another car of the same model and color. However, I didn't see any other similar cars when I dropped off and picked up my vehicle. I asked for a refund since they didn't perform the service but charged me for it. Sean agreed but said he didn't have the authority to process the refund, claiming the district manager would contact me the next day to handle it. I haven't heard from them, and I doubt I will. Not sure about all the bad reviews. I've been using this Firestone for years for out of warranty repairs on my cars and never had any problems. They are honest, have convenient hours and prices are reasonable. They have recommended me to go to a dealer to dealer when they couldn't do an alignment because of a rusted in part on the suspension. A lot of shops would either have done and charged you for the alignment while either breaking the part, or ignoring the part and doing an incomplete job. Really a life saver that they are open on Sunday. read more

I received great service at Firestone. I noticed a huge bulge on my tire. So I drove right over. They looked at it, and I knew they were going to tell me I needed 4 new tires- my car is 4WD and I knew this sidewall was not repairable. They spoke to me about my driving habits, recommended new tires, and installed them right then and there. 2 hours later I was on my way home with a safe car. I had an August inspection sticker, so they inspected the car free of charge. And they took a look at my brakes while the tires were off. There is a Dunkin' next door with ample seating, so it made the wait less painful. read more

I see a lot of bad reviews of this place, but my circumstances where this. I was traveling on the Mass Turnpike and the alternator went on my car. AAA isn't allowed on the turnpike, so the tow truck driver (who ended up honoring AAA) figured out it was the alternator and started calling around to local places (honeslty...what the hell else was I going to do....I'm 5 hours from home and basically have no choice...so I'm counting on honesty and integrity). He called 2 local places he knows...they are swamped. He says, "this one Firestone might be able to and I've heard OK things". So...with that, I say "lets go" because....what do I have to compare it to. 4 hours later I'm towed, and fixed...and on my way. I assume it was fair priced. They weren't terribly quick, but it's not like they have alternators around...and they probably pissed off one of the other people who reviewed here because they put my car sooner than others because they knew i wasn't from the area and had to go. So really..I should probably give them an extra star. All in all. It's a tire / oil change place that can do some other things. I probably overpaid a bit....but it was that or stay over in a hotel. Was their loyal customer for 30 years, left great review. Now have to change it - during these years the place deteriorated to the point I'm leaving it for good. Inexperienced and overpriced. Called them for a quote on 3rd brake light, requested exact quote, repeated 3 times it was LED not bulb. Came next day, in about half an hour the guy came out with my part in hand, and said that I had not a Bulb, but LED! (Surprise!), that it now would be not $95, but $384 for aftermarket part! Went to other garage (highly rated), got Honda part installed for $217. Firestone wanted to charge nearly twice for aftermarket part compare to other place! and for labor too. We were told firestone would beat our quote at town fair tire. They did the opposite. If your in the waiting room leave now. Beware of preditorial practices below.. Called one week ahead. Waited almost 5 hours for 2 tires the day of service. The more I inquired about the wait, the longer the wait was. I informed that I wouldn't do any of the work they were suggesting. The mechanic then tried to give financial advise on their credit card while my car was on lift with tires off. We were told we wouldn't be pressured over the phone for extra work prior. They did just that, broke their promise and charged over the quote that they said they could beat. So the last time we were here we were given a card for a free oil change for our trouble. Made an appointment, came in earlier than our appt time and was told an hour. Came back a little over an hour later, had to wait another 20 minutes to find out our car hasn't been touched. Husband asked for the keys back, we're leaving. Came here a couple of weeks ago for the yearly vehicle state inspection. I usually go to an auto shop in South End in Boston, but since I was driving to NYC in traffic, I thought I'd do my inspection on the way to let traffic die down a little. My experience at firestone was just a huge waste of time. When I came in, I was told that there was one person in front of me and it would take atleast 2 hours to complete my inspection. This striked me as odd and should have been the first warning to avoid, but regardless I agreed and waited. I waited a little over an hour and I was told that the inspection machine broke and at best, it would be another 3 hours to finish the inspection.... I ended up leaving and my compensation for waiting for nothing was that I would be allowed to make an appointment, lucky me!! For comparison, all my previous inspections in the South End took 30-45 mins, this already includes waiting for the people ahead of me. And then to make things worse, an hour later I realized that I never got my registration back. I called and asked if they have it and the response was "No I'm sure we don't have it. It's part of the routine to return it". I asked him to check anyways and there it was. Atleast he mailed it back to me quickly. The only bright side to this store is the customer service. Everyone is very very nice, unfortunately, it doesn't even come close to making up for the lack of efficiency. Seriously, make the drive to a different city. I went back in and they gave me grief for complaining but told me to bring the car in and they would fix it so I did. I went to pick the car up and they charged me again for two flat tires!! These guys saved me today! I hit a pothole near WalMart that was hidden in the rain and blew 2 of my tires. I was able to get towed to Firestone and they were able to replace my tires and send me back on my way in just a little over an hour and a half. I paid $650 to repair it because I like to have my SUV without any issues... now I have 4 lights in the display ( ABS, TCS, ESP, and the 4WD system maintenance). I got a flat tire on a roundabout and had to pull into a parking lot--called AAA and got my spare put on. I drove to Firestone and just needed them to replace the spare with a real tire. And OH MY GOD. IT TOOK 4 HOURS with 2 PEOPLE AHEAD OF ME. I asked how long it would take, they said about an hour or two, so I came back about 2 hours later to my car still parked in the same place and them playing around and chatting. I asked how long it would be and they said it would be done in 30 minutes and they'd start now. Did that happen? NOPE! They pulled my car into the garage while I walked away, and I returned an hour later to it sitting where they'd pulled it in with the spare still on. Yet again, they were messing around and sitting inside, with a bunch of people waiting. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. I had to get home and these people were closing in 15 minutes, without even touching my car. We popped into this location Sunday (7/30) to get my car inspected before my sticker expired on Tuesday. We walked in and the gentleman at the desk was on the phone, so we waited until he was finished and expected to be at least greeted. He looked at us, hung up the phone and walked into the back. No greeting or even acknowledgement that 2 customers just walked in. So we waited. About 5 minutes later he came out and asked what we needed. When I said all I needed was a quick inspection, the response we got was unbelievable. He proceeded to roll his eyes and his actual response to us was "Jesus Christ, an inspection?" He then went on to us about how it's Sunday and he's the only one working (although we could see the techs in the back standing around) and there were several cars ahead of us and we would have to leave the car and come back. I understand that inspection places can get a little busy toward the end of the month with people like myself who wait until the last minute, and that places like this may have a thinner staff on Sundays, however, being a Service Rep Supervisor myself, this is NOT how I would allow one of my employees to respond to a customer asking for a service that we provide. The fact that a place brings in less staff on Sundays shouldn't be the customer's problem. It's the end of the month, you should expect that people are coming in on the weekend to get inspections, which don't even take more than a few minutes. A simple, "You have a few cars ahead of you, you could leave the car or come back later." would have been absolutely fine, and if that were the response we got, I would be bringing my car back there this afternoon. But with the response we received, I'll never be back for anything, whether I need just an inspection or all new tires. Paying customers shouldn't be made to feel like they're inconveniencing you by asking for a service, and I'd be surprised if I was the first person to be responded to like this before. read more

My battery died and after a jump I stopped there to have it checked out. The service tech told me that the battery failed to hold a charge so I said great..please replace it. A new Interstate battery for my vehicle type cost was $220 plus tax.. wow! So I bit the bullet and had them replace the battery. About two weeks passed and I broke down again with a dead battery so at this point I figured theres something else wrong since I have a new battery. After a visit to the dealer for service they came back to tell me that a few of the cells in my battery were bad. I told the dealer service I replaced the battery so I would go back to Firestone and have them replace the new battery for another. I returned to Firestone and told them what the dealer said and after looking at my paperwork the service tech tells me that they did not replace the battery because of a rusted battery bracket. WTF! So I was charged $220 plus for nothing. They refunded my money. No way was I going to purchase anything else from them at this point. I stopped into to interstate battery store and priced a replacement and after the prorated discount my battery cost me $110 dollars. No prorated discount from Firestone on top of everything else. I just recently got all 4 brand new tires from a different tire shop, but unfortunately I hit a curb and had to put a spare on. So I scheduled an appointment here at 3pm to get ONE new tire put on, I show up and Alex Atoui proceeds to tell me one of my other tires are bad. Keep in mind I got all 4 BRAND NEW tires put on recently. I knew they were just trying to get money from me. He then tries and tries to have me get an oil change too when my car doesn't need it. I should've left after all this but just wanted a new tire put on. I hand over my keys and I'm waiting two and a half hours in the waiting area. Around 5:30pm he calls me over and tells me that they don't have the tire in stock. After me waiting almost 3 hours.. and my car has not moved from the parking lot, it didn't even make it into the shop, he now finds out my size tire isn't in stock there. I wasted 2 and a half hours just sitting in this tire shop. But because I've been waiting, he gives me $15 off my next oil change. Even when I was never there for an oil change and I said I would never be getting one from them. This place is a joke and so is the staff. Came here early morning after making an apt and they failed me for inspection because all of a sudden, 'laws have changed' and what was passed (by the same firestone guys at framingham) last year would not pass. FYI, I had not done any changes on the car for last 1 year. So I persuaded for an explanation and tried to understand this 'new' law. Someone over the phone told the elderly front store guy I didnt want to pay, and he thought okay lets summon the cops on this woman whose already in tears. Its $30 do you really think I am not capable to pay that tiny amount? The ethics of this store is horrible. Their customer service is totally lacking and the elderly white haired guy seems to be root cause of all trouble. I see a previous review also mention about him. Dont bother coming here unless you want to leave the store humiliated and embarassed in front of tons of ppl. I called all around Natick to find a place to get my snow tires mounted. I decided to go here because they quoted me the cheapest price of all other tire places in Natick and Framingham. The first time I called, they quoted me $77 for the tire change and no additional fee to dispose of my old snow tires. The second time I called to change my appointment time, they quoted me $54. When I went to drop off my car for my appointment, and after they finally paid me any attention after entering their store and waiting at least 5 minutes before being helped, they quoted me a price upwards of $150 before they began to do their work. I explained I was quoted a much lower price when I made the appointment over the phone and the worker said he would speak to the person that made the appointment for me before proceeding to change my tires. I will say, my appointment was at 8 AM. I did not receive a phone call from them that day until 1:30 PM. I spoke to the person who gave me the original quote of $54, and he said he would be able to bring it down from upwards of $150 to $71. It ended up that they were going to include an alignment with the tire change, which I clearly stated I only wanted a tire change. When I went to pick up my car the following day, the worker gave me a tough time on not getting an alignment, saying he suggests getting one with a tire change, even though I recently had one. When I went to leave, I noticed in my car they did not dispose of my old snow tires that they said they would dispose of for no charge. I had to go back in the store, tell them they forgot to dispose of my old tires, and then had to go back out and take care of them. All in all, not the worst experience I could have had, but for a simple tire change, this was too much of a headache that I will NOT be returning to Firestone. read more

No stars. Absolutely no stars. Ed Ford the manager for this Firestone shop is a poster boy for bad customer service. We were on our way to the Cape when we found a screw in the left front tire. Called Firestone and they said bring it right in no problem they would get to it right away. Well when we got there the van went right in and sat and sat. The walls are glass we could see that no one was working on a simple plug for our tire. An hour or more went by and then the van disappeared. I was left in the show room being ignored by the entire staff until they told me that a tech scraped and dented my front bumper while backing out of the service bay. No problem said the techs after 2 hours Firestone will take care of everything. So I talked to the manager Ed Ford. Mr Ford told me to get 3 quotes from body shops and everything would be taken care of. Lies. Ed Ford then told me to have the work done and put it on a credit card and then he would credit my card for work that was not done by Firestone. Fishy, fraud? Not an option. Ed Ford then said his boss would call me to say that's the way they roll. The boss never called. That's not the way they roll. 5 months later still no resolution. DO NOT GO HERE!!! These people tried to cheat a 23 year old student out of A LOT OF MONEY. Our car broke down on the mass pike because it overheated. We had the car towed here and they replaced the radiator saying it had blew. Then they told us that the radiator made the alternator seize. Which doesn't make any sense. When we looked at the alternator it was rotating fine and not seized at all. Not only that but the mechanic they had working on our car broke one of the belts and had to replace it for free. We also asked for our parts back at the end because they are required to provide them to you, and the mechanic had smashed the top of the radiator completely. So we don't even know if we actually needed one. They also fit our manual car with an automatic radiator and then didn't have a cap for the radiator they installed?! They had to send out TWO people to get the part for the radiator they installed 2 hours earlier. We were there for 7 HOURS. 7 HOURS. And at the end also told us we needed a new water pump?!?!?! They totally tried to screw us, thank god we checked the part...worst, and most deceitful service ever. read more

I suggest staying away from this place, even for a simple oil change. They get one star for having better hours than most other shops in the area - another for the pleasant people they have working in the front. They are always nice and explain stuff in detail. That's about where the good stuff ends though. Every appointment there takes hours longer than the amount of time they estimate for it. Even just an oil change takes for ever. They are also very good at up-selling you items that cost them nothing and but cost you more. I do not trust this auto shop after my last oil change there. They didn't fill up my washer fluid, which had been empty, and this leads me to believe they didn't check any fluid levels at all. Also, they didn't put enough oil back in the car! My car has not burned through oil in the past, so the level wasn't something I checked between oil changes (believe me, I've learned my lesson!). Shortly after this last oil change I wound up having pretty much no oil in there at all... the only way this could have happened is if they shorted me oil. I say stay away from this place. read more

I tried this place without reading Yelp reviews first. BIG MISTAKE. I used Firestone mostly because it was close to work, and I could make reservations online. I have used the business approximately 6 times in the past two years to do oil changes, buy tires, get my state inspection, and replace brakes. My most recent experiences here, though, are what made me get onto Yelp and share my experiences with others. After replacing my brakes a year ago, the service technician said "there will be some squeaking, and it will go away." Well, it didn't. Took it in to get it fixed, and they took 8 hours to do it. No kidding. I waited 8 hours on my car to be fixed at this place. I asked them to look into a sound that was occurring under the hood. This sound only started after they inspected my car for the MA inspection last time. They claimed they "couldn't hear anything", even though I told them it only happened on hard acceleration. They didn't drive it to hear, just said there was nothing wrong. The sound is still there, and I'm trying to find someone better to investigate. After my 8 hour ordeal, I drove the car off the lot and my muffler was lose and a support bar had been detached. I am CONVINCED that this is no coincidence. I actively believe the technicians here are encouraged to create new problems in cars so that more business will come their way. There is no other explanation for why my muffler was broken after leaving this business. Absolutely ridiculous. Finally, let's review the only reason I started using Firestone: convenience. Even though you can reserve online, it's meaningless. They don't read the notes you write into the online system, and actively change the times you submitted for reservation. I reserved a time on Saturday, and received a stock email confirming my time for Monday morning. Diligently showed up for the Monday appointment, and they were completely unprepared for me. Do NOT bring your car here. Even for something routine! I brought my new (to me) car to this Firestone to get an inspection. When they returned the car to me the guy in the waiting area said casually "you passed the inspection, but we noticed your steering is a little of. Have you noticed anything?" Of course, I hadn't noticed anything, because I'd been driving the car for about a month without any issue at all. He then said, 'well this car is new to you, you might want to bring it back to the dealership where you got it." Trying to imply I'd purchased it this way. As soon as I pulled out of my parking space, it was immediately clear that something was wrong with the steering that hadn't been wrong previously. So I re-parked and went back in. I told the person at the desk that something at clearly been done in the time since I parked the car and the time they parked it again. He insisted nothing they did could possibly have affected the steering. At that point, I thought a button for power steering or driving assist had potentially accidentally been pushed so after going back and forth with him a couple of times I decided not to make a scene and thought I'd just look through my car manual to see if some setting had been changed. Not wanting to have everyone from inside stare at me in the parking lot I went to pull out and my car was not driveable. The steering wheel turned on it's on, dragged me across all three lanes and was very difficult to steer where I wanted it to. I immediately pulled into the parking lot next door. Again, I brought a perfectly working car in for and INSPECTION and they gave it back to me undrivable. In another attempt to assess what might be wrong I attempted to drive across the empty parking lot at which point all of the warning lights came on the dash and I stopped making any attempts to drive. (I had gone maybe 100 yards at this point). After getting the car towed to a dealership I got a call from the repair shop there and was told it was clear just from looking it before even getting it in the shop that the front tires were pointed towards each other and there was some front end damage under the car. Firestone had lifted my car by the tie rods, broke them and damaged the front end. Instead of acknowledging this mistake, they slapped a sticker on the car, gave it back to me, and tried to make me believe I brought it to them this way. It cost me almost $600 (and over a week) to get my car driveable again. Not only did they cost me a small fortune, Firestone took no responsibility, tried to redirect the blame, and most importantly, handed me a damaged car with an inspection sticker that was absolutely dangerous to be on the road. I wouldn't bring another car to Firestone for any reason at all. If a routine inspection caused this, what would happen if they had to actually do work on it?! read more

So we got a flat tire running it a curb driving into the mall across the street (teen driver's first roundabout experience ) so hunted for a nearby tire place open on a Sunday. We pulled in before 1:30 pm and were told they would call when the new tire was on, but definitely should return by 4 since they close at 5 on Sundays. We didn't hear from them but dutifully walked back over at 4 to discover they hadn't even pulled our car into a service bay yet! We didn't get out of there until 5:30. And driving home just now we heard a squeaking sound that is clearly wheel related. So, poor communication and poor service. Consider yourself warned. read more

As the other reviewers have stated: Horrible. My first time here was alright as I have the lifetime alignment program and was there to get everything to spec as this winter was very, very brutal. There was an elderly man complaining about the tech trying to up-sell him on items he didn't need. Not any of my business... Second time here they asked me to bring the car back because they wanted to have adequate time to work on it. Fast forward to my appointment, they told me that my subframe needed to be shifted and that can only be adjusted at a dealer to get everything into spec. To me it sounds like they don't want to do the work on a service they're not making any profit off of due to the fact I have the lifetime alignment service. Whether true or not about the subframe being an issue, it was extremely frustrating to reschedule only to have no service performed and to drive in early morning route 9 commuter traffic -_- read more
