Brought my vintage Jaguar in for a starter replacement. All the mechanics were knowledgeable honest and professional. These guys know more than the mechanics at the Jaguar dealerships who don't work on any vehicles older than 10 years old. I'm a happy customer and would highly ecommend Samuels Jaguar Motor .... Elston is fantastic. He knows Jaguars inside and out and is able to provide a level of service that isn't matched by anyone in the area. My family has been going here for 30 years and we wouldn't consider bringing our Jaguars elsewhere. I highly recommend! read more

I like. Fan of it. Very good when touching my car. Magic fingers. I smile when my car dies cause I get to visit my friends.

A friend of mine swears by this garage. My friend does not drive a jag. The mechanics there are honest as can be, completely straight-forward and realistic, and charge fairly. I, personally, have not been to this garage (I don't own a car currently), but know from past experience how hard it can be to find a trustworthy garage, and thought I'd share this piece of info from my trusted friend. read more

I have been coming to this shop for years. I own classic Jaguars, Land Rovers and various British machinery. This shop is far and away the best place to take your Jaguar or Land Rover (at least the ones that share engine and transmission with the Jaguar). I am not just talking about the greater Boston area, IMHO this is the best Jaguar shop anywhere from Maine to Washington DC. Both Ellston and Bob are extremely knowledgeable, very honest and they do excellent quality work. I highly recommend this place based on years of experience. read more

Makes owning a Jag like owning a Kia. Great shop rates and no BS. We bring our Jag and Range Rover there and use to bring our Dodge their too! Why not get your car fixed right next to the Rolls Royce for much less than any dealership would cost? I would bring any car regardless of value to Samuel's first. read more

This shop knows their Jaguars - of all vintages - as well as other British and and collector cars. They've done work on my '65 e-type for several years now and I am completely satisfied. Elston Samuels, the owner, and Bob, the mechanic who specializes in older jags, are thoughtful, honest, and do outstanding work. They source parts that are high quality and fairly priced (often from SNG Barret in NH, who can have parts overnighted), their work is thorough and complete (never had to come back and ask them to "try fixing it again,") and their shop rate is competitive. They are excellent problem solvers. In addition, if you're a regular customer and feeling lazy, they'll take care of little things or advise you on whether some new Jaguar surprise is a problem or just an irritant on a drop in basis. All in all, this is a high quality, professional, and trustworthy shop. read more

After buying a used X-type, when it came time to getting it serviced, I wanted to take it to someone with experience with Jaguars and Samuel's has a ton. Their garage and yard are full of all types of Jaguars new and old. Samuel's did a great job with the service and got the car back in shape again ready for another year on the road. They kept me well apprised of progress, parts and costs, and the price was fair for the amount of work done. Certainly less than dealership prices. I just called up again a month after my visit and they recognised me (well, my car) immediately. I explained the description of the issue and they quoted me the exact error codes and confirmed everything I suspected from research about the issue before I had a chance to even tell them the error codes. Super knowledgeable! Their hours aren't as strict as most places and can vary, so call before you visit. From my experience, they open anywhere from 6:30am to 9:30am depending on the day. read more

Samuels Jaguar is the best place to have your car fixed. This is an ethical business. Sam is a great guy. He is honest & very helpful. No games here. I've had my car fixed here twice. Each time price was reasonable and repair work was perfect. I highly recommend this business to anyone. read more

They know what they do,and they do it well! Easy going mechanical long time pro's that think and carefully take their time and not your's . They are superb! Five Stars read more

I had some vibration in one of the wheel bearings in my X-Type, and after doing some research it became apparent that I needed a Jaguar specialist to do the work as I had read horror stories of shops installing the wrong bearing and having the ABS stop working and engine lights come on and so on. So, I called the local dealership who quoted me $600 if all goes smoothly, but they might not be able to figure out which bearing needed to be replaced. Seriously, how many ways can you leave yourself the option of charging me more money later? Then, I called Samuel's, and not only did they quote me less than half the price at the dealership, they didn't give me any B.S. either and did the work in a couple hours the next day. Honest people, good work, good prices. Love it! Oh yeah, and you can check out all the cool old Jags and Bentleys in the shop/lot while your at it... read more

I have been going to Samuels Jaguar since his dad originally ran it for about 30 years. I have had six Jaguars of different types and these guys are the best. They are honest and friendly in an age when people are trying to rip you off. Bob the chief mechanic is down to earth and honest as they come. Do not go anywhere else even if you have another type of European car. I have seen them service MG, Land Rovers and BMWs there. They are the best. read more

SUPER service over the years for my various Jaguars (3 E-Types, one XJ-S and 2 XJ6s) by Elston Samuels and his late dad with Bob the chief mechanic. Reasonable, honest and very very trustworthy. Five stars! read more

I recently bought my Jaguar XJ8 (308) from a seller on Craigslist and having owned an earlier model in the past, I went into this purchase with more caution and a little more knowledge of what to look for, but I am still by no means an expert! A couple weeks ago I noticed a sound that was like driving on a grooved road or a metal grated bridge. The sound would go up in pitch the more I accelerated. Doing a bunch of research on the web, I deducted that it was a wheel bearing needing to be replaced. So, I now needed to find a place that worked on Jags. I knew that dealerships are going to be very pricey so I was hoping to find another place that worked on them. I found several great reviews on Samuels Jaguar Motors and I called him and set up an appointment. I brought it in and was greeted by a friendly mechanic and explained what the issue was (from what I could figure) and he took it for a spin and decided that it was the right front bearing. I asked him to fix it, and give a good look over the whole car to see if there was anything else that could potentially be an issue down the road. He actually gave me a ride to the train! He called me about 2 hours later and let me know that the ball joint also needed to be replaced so I had him do that too. Well, needless to say, it was all fixed when I went to pick it (Same day!! - and he picked me up at the train stop too!) Noise was gone too! When I got to the garage to pick it up, he had left it up on the lift and with a light, showed me everything he did, some of the problems he saw - nothing major, but things that should be fixed just to bring it to great condition. The cost of repair was incredibly surprising as I thought it would be much more. So, bottom line, he is honest, efficient, knows Jaguars thoroughly, and reasonably priced and those are the reason he is constantly busy - I can guarantee it I am really thrilled that I found this shop and intend on keeping my car maintained and repaired here from here on out! read more

We have used Elston Samuels' shop exclusively for our two Jaguars for the past 5 years. He, and his head mechanic Bob, are super knowledgeable and will keep your car running well for a very reasonable cost. They can get any part you need within an hour and have a large stock of used parts for instances when new parts aren't needed or aren't cost effective. They know these cars backwards and forwards and make owning a Jaguar a total pleasure. They are just off Storrow Drive near the Newton-Brighton border. read more

Elston has worked on my 1985 Series III XJ12 for two years now. He and his staff are founts of knowledge about my vehicle, and from what I can tell, about any Jaguar. He completes work on time and his prices are more than reasonable. He'll gladly have a chat about options for repairs, and stands by his repairs no questions asked. If at all possible, I will never have another shop work on my car. Most strongly recommended. read more
