Keith is a super nice guy that knows his craft well! He re-keyed four doors at a reasonable price plus gave us tips on lubricating the door fixtures for a clean, smooth, quiet closing. I contacted him again after our front door hardware broke. He was very familiar with our hardware brand and informed us they have a life-time warranty. This is your go-to locksmith! We had an unusual number of locks & handsets that needed changing out/re-keying. Keith's quote was far and away the most reasonable; I was shocked at some of the costs I was quoted by other locksmiths. For example, one highly-rated locksmith here on Yelp charged an additional $30 per lock just to remove it and put it back -- the re-keying was a separate $50 charge. That is absurd. These were basic house locks, not even mortise or anything fancy schmancy. Keith came on time, did the work efficiently, was VERY neat and organized, and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. Great guy doing high-quality work for very fair pricing. read more

He came the next morning bright and early and not only fixed the locks but he fixed the door frame for us so the lock wouldn't break again. We bought a new house and needed a few locks changed (some were really old!) and a few rekeyed. I contacted Keith based on one of my friend's recommendation and he was not wrong! I sent him a bunch of photos for all the locks and he replied back within minutes even though he was on his way out of town. He very clearly laid out what my options were be and which brand locks will fit. He came at the appointed time and did an amazing job. Keith is great! We had our first eviction day this Thursday, and we are so nervous, we don't know what's the process only that we weee notified that we need to bring a locksmith. I contact and Keith was so nice to letting me know the details and also gave me some recommendations to do before the eviction day come. Keith was GREEAATTTT! I was locked out of my house. I called another locksmith service, on the web site. it quoted $19.00 for service call and to pick a lock was $29.00. It sounds very reasonable. When that person got here with one look , he stated he needs to drill the lock which would be $159.00. replace lock would be another $110.00 plus the service call $19.00. So what seems reasonable at first ended up with closed to $300.00. Consumer beware!!!! If you live in Fremont California you can not go wrong with Knight's Locksmith. Keith responded within an hour of my Yelp message and gave me a specific quote and a specific time (not a time window) he could come the next business day to rekey my place. He confirmed my appointment, called 20 minutes ahead, arrived on time to change my locks and provided excellent quality large brass keys (very impressed with the quality - much better than nickel keys typically found at Ace, Home Depot). He was done in under 20 minutes, provided a quote upfront with the breakdown fully explained, and charged me for exactly that amount after he completed his work. His quote was lower than another locksmith that I called, he accepted my credit card through Square, and I am very pleased with his work. He was pleasant and friendly, and offered me some advice on other home things, which I appreciated. I will call him again for any locksmith needs and highly recommend him to all! read more
