I needed help with a broken key in a lock situation first thing on a Monday morning. The folks at Bend Lock & Safe were there promptly at 8am and resolved my issue quickly. They made me a couple of back up keys as well given the poor quality keys that came with my lock. Excellent service and great value! Highly recommend Bend Lick & Safe! read more

Always knowledgeable and always looking to solve the issue for a customer. Our business uses them a lot. Great place.

I will never go back to bend lock and safe! They programed a key to 2 of my cars and neither one works. I ended up buying a key fob from them because they said I had the one that wouldnt work. the one I got from them didn't either. I had to find someone that actually knows what there doing. $600 later I have a key that works. one one of my cars the other one still doesn't work. I will never do business with them again!!! read more

They offered text feedback and then provided fast and quality service on a difficult fix. Super impressed.

I called first and explained to Nick, the employee who answered, that my car beeps when I open the driver's side door even though the key is not in the ignition. Nick said that they could take a look at it right away. I also asked if they charged a diagnostic fee (I had called my dealership about the issue first and they had a mandatory $180 diagnostic fee exclusive of the cost to actually fix the issue), and Nick said they were happy to take a look at it for free. So I brought my car in the very next day and while waiting for the fix, got a cup of coffee and a huge cinnamon roll while I worked on my laptop in the lounge at Laurie's Grill two blocks away. 2.5 hours later, I got a call that my car was ready and the total cost was only $85 (less than half the cost of just the diagnostic fee at the dealership!). Overall, a great experience. read more

Friendly staff and very efficient. I brought in 4 locks to be rekeyed and they did it while I waited. I know that can't always be the case but I appreciated not having to make another trip to pick up. read more

Good services, nice people, fair prices. My husband and I have been customers of Bend Lock & Safe at least a dozen times in the dozen plus years we've lived in Bend. Today it was to re-key the lock in a cast bronze front door set. (We replaced the door. Sadly, couldn't use this spendy existing door handle on the new door and thought it best to change the lock before selling the handle set.) In less than ten minutes, the lock was re-keyed with new keys to boot. We've also used Bend Lock & Safe for having house keys and car keys made. They also sell safes (duh) and locking door sets. I hear they also provide on call service if you lock yourself out of your house or vehicle. We've never had to ask for that help, but nice to know they drive to where you need them to be in Central Oregon if that happens. This small business has been in business since 1968 - Lyndon Johnson was President and Neil Armstrong had not yet walked on the moon. Bend Lock & Safe is long lived because it is well run. We're fans. THIS N THAT: 1) Conveniently located on Franklin, a block or two off Highway 97. 2) Parking in small lot in back. 3) Barrier free - universally accessible from parking in the door and throughout. 4) Closed on Sunday. PS - If you look behind the filter you'll see another review from someone with "woohoo" testimionial for how Bend Lock & Safe saved the day for them while they were on vacation in Central Oregon. Were it not for the mysterious Yelp filter that review would have been FTR here. So good for that reviewer too! read more

Tom was great...good work with our re-keying and new keys project. Would definitely call them again.

We contacted The company on short notice to rekey a home we had just purchased in Redmond. Had them come out and fix our front door. They did a wonderful job! Unfortunately less than a month later the whole lock broke. Cody came back out and gave us the bad news. Our builder put in cheap locks...we purchased a new set up at Home Depot and he came back out and rekeyed it so we didn't have to buy all new keys. Yay! He did a wonderful job and what a great help!! Thanks bend lock and safe for having knowledgeable employees who give great customer service and advice! read more

I've lived in Bend for over 25 years, and have used the services if Bend Lock & Safe (BL&S) several times. I always found them to be competent and competitive. Recently I purchased a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee from Hertz that only had one key fob, (shame on Hertz) and I needed a backup fob. Since BL&S helped when the fob on my 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee died, I called them for a quote. The BL&S person on the phone told me that this was a complex task, require removal of the car's instrument panel, and the cost could be as much as $500. Since the cost seemed unconscionable, I called Knight's Locksmith, received a $125 quote, $45 for the Fob, and $80 for programming. I accepted the quote, and the fob was ordered. A few days later the locksmith came to my home, and completed the job in 30 minutes, sans removal of the instrument panel. I don't know why the BL&S information was so inaccurate, but to me, it seemed like an inexperienced, young man shooting off his mouth. Still, BL&S is culpable since they permit him to answer the phone. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Bend Lock and Safe! They are a local, family owned business that has served our community for many years. My front door and latch are good as new tonight! My family has used them for fixing locks, changing locks, and other emergent and non emergent needs for as long as I can remember, and I honestly wouldn't call anyone else! Thank you Bend Lock & Safe for always being there when we need you! Ryan is a GEM! read more

Great service all the way around. We use them for locks on our properties, get keys made, etc. The staff is unflappable. Cody has done all of our installations, punctual, professional, efficient and knowledgeable. Mary in the back office does all of their invoicing, always accurate and timely. The staff that mans the shop is always curtoious and helpful. I'm a low functioning person when it comes to these things and the people behind the counter are always so patient and helpful. They have rescued me on more than one occasion. Great staff, top level customer service, timely, patient and cost effective. Highly recommend Bend Lock & Safe for whatever your key and lock needs are. They are the best in town! read more

Quick and competent service. Had copies made of a key, quick, good quality, and inexpensive. Thank you!

Went to Bend Lock and Safe to have a regular car key cut. I provided the uncut key. Once the key was cut the guy charged me more than the typical 2 side cut as posted overhead. I asked why, the guy replys "more labor". He didn't do a darn thing extra and the charge should have been gratis after this painfully shoddy cut! Take your business elsewhere! read more
