If you need a good safe whether it's for personal items, or guns, Bend lock and safe has a very good mix at all price ranges and quality levels. I was able to find a used safe for half of the price that they go for new, and it's a top-of-the-line American security safe. They also move safes which is a very nice thing to have around town. I had a very large safe moved from one side of town to the other for about $275, which was well worth it considering it would've taken five people and a truck and trailer to do. read more

This is my first experience with Bend Lock and Safe. I had a unique issue with some Sprinter van keys to sort out before paying the big buck at Mercedes Benz for a new set. They were able to help with an interim solution that worked just fine. Because of the unique situation, only one guy there new what to do, so levels of experience and expertise vary, but in the end they were all helpful and took all the time needed to explain things. read more

We called Bend Lock and Safe after the key to our cartop cargo box broke off on the first day of a camping trip to central oregon over memorial day. The guy told us to head to the store at 9am (I called at 8am) , but when we got there, they were closed for the weekend. I called to see what was up and the guy who was on call as the mobile locksmith for the holiday weekend came by, fished out the broken key, put it back together and cut two copies that both worked better than the original. I was sure I was going to get gouged for over a hundred bucks but when he rang it up, the total came to $25!!! I was astounded! When I stated my surprise at the cost, the guy just said "yeah, customer service is kinda our thing". No kidding. Top notch establishment. Definitely call these folks first! A+ read more

Went in to have them come to our house to fix a trailer door lock that had completely slid out of the hole. Rather then charging the $50.00 mobile fee for a few minute fix the guy told my how to fix it myself! How refreshing! Went home and had it fixed in no time. A distinguishing feature is their competence to help you select an appropriate level of security and then properly install your choice. Moving a safe is an art form all its own. Bought a safe from this company in 2014. They installed and secured it. Could not ask for better service. We came home from a trip earlier in the week and the safe we had from another source was inoperable. Battery had died and the code was wiped out, could not open the safe even with a new battery. And--in our stupidity had put the override key(s) in the safe with ALL of our car and truck keys. Called Bend Lock and Safe. They actually put us on the schedule for that day to open it up. First tech couldn't get it to work so called for the "expert" lock picker. Paul could not get here until after hours and spent a couple hours trying to pick the lock to save the safe and still get it opened. We needed the keys and checkbooks. Told him just get it opened. Paul drilled it using drills and hole saws. Finally opened. Now he presented us with the bill. We expected through the roof amount. He told us since the first guy was there during normal hours it would be considered a normal call. What service and genuine honesty. Can't ask for a better company to do business with. read more

Due to the unfortunate fact that a ring of keys were stolen from my husband's truck last night, we bought 3 new locking doorknobs/levers from knowledgeable, experienced, and patient Paul today. I never realized there so many choices to consider, but Paul guided us through the process and gave us some hints on installation since we wanted to do that ourselves. We also had 10 house keys made, and received valuable guidance from Paul about Yakima locks (since ours was locked and we no longer had the key). Very disappointing experience. We lost our truck key in the Mt. Bachelor Powder while snowboarding and needed a new truck key made. They quoted $150.00 on the phone after hearing what our vin, make, model, year was. When the technician came to our house he then quoted us $435.00!! We said NO! We went with a different company that came out from La Pine and did the job for $95.00. Bend lock and key then called hours later to try to renegotiate for $390.00. Crazy how the prices from two different companies was vastly different. Very disappointed by this price gouging. read more
