I can't say enough on how well I was treated. Fixing my Nautilus was complicated as my accident had happened 2 years prior and it was a faulty headlight that had to be replaced. I had a mishap and accidentally shut my garage door on my Acura RDX. Fortunately, it didn't do more damage but I did end up with 2 big scratches down the lift gate. I called and worked with Katie to schedule my car. Got my car in on a Monday. Katie, Jeff and Denae were all very helpful and communicative. The biggest difficulty I had was with my insurance as they weren't a preferred vendor but I wasn't willing to take my car to the preferred shop, so that was the only issue, but Kniesel's worked with my insurance and got it done by Friday!! I also had a rock chip on my hood that they fixed at the same time and I couldn't be happier with the paint job! read more

This was the auto shop that the insurance company sent me to when I was rear-ended. The staff here took proper COVID safety precautions which I appreciated. They were quick to get my repairs scheduled, coordinated a convenient pick up time around my unpredictable schedule, and did a full interior and exterior cleaning upon return (which was very much needed!). I didn't do much comparison with regards to cost as the opposite party's insurance was covering it all, but the price was higher than I expected. Friendly local body Shop in Rocklin, however, damages were approximately 5k, for a new Subaru Outback, and repairs took 3+ weeks, much longer than reasonable, and upon completion and Vehicle release, the Lighting systems, turn indicators, headlights did NOT work. Very dangerous situation, "Jeff" - Site Manager apologized and did sign off after an additional day of repairs. However, to release a car in this condition is unacceptable, and indicates bad processes and or supervision, so Buyer Beware, be very careful with this location! I did contact Rob, CEO of Kneissels to inform him and give a heads up, but no reply so another negative factor for us, we will NOT be using Kneissels again for any, or all body work, even if paid in full by Insurance etc....Good Luck! read more

I initially gave a lower rating, because after waiting 3 months to get a time slot to service our Tesla, we were told that it would be in the shop for a month. That seemed unreasonable, but it turns out that Kniesel's was being very conservative; we got the car back in just over two weeks. The real villain is Tesla, which hasn't set up enough authorized repair centers. Kniesel's doesn't have enough staff to handle the demand. (It's also really hard to get parts, but that wasn't our problem as Kniesel's had the part for months before they had a repair slot available). My vehicle was picked up from my home on June 4, 2018 and towed to Kniesel's Collision in Rocklin. After a day or so, I was contacted by Kniesel's Estimator, Rodrigo, and we discussed a few things and expectations. I was told that availability of parts might take some time. I figured that would be the case but had high hopes. Fortunately Kniesel's has an online Repair Status platform through Carwise (https://www.carwise.com/), which gave my high hopes! I was excited to see that I could potentially receive my car today, June 28, 2018 at 4pm, as it indicated through Carwise. They even provide text message updates. The updates I received were as follows: Update: Alfredo the repair on your Tesla is underway. Your vehicle is on track to be completed on 06/29/2018 04:00 PM. I informed him that Carwise detailed by text message that my car would be ready for pickup today. He was surprised by my disappointment and stated that it had to be updated. I expressed my extreme disappointment and the inconvenience this news brought and that the text message indicated differently. They were able to fix my car earlier than it was scheduled to be done. He's easy to talk and I'm happy with his customer service. I love that they clean my car too inside and out! Simply put. AWFUL. It was not a good experience. Let's start with the wait time to get the car in-okay, that was decent, about 2 weeks or so. The quality of work was good...and that's all the positive I can say. The timeframe they told me for repairs was not at all close to the actual time it took. Customer service was average but still inept. The lack of follow through is unparalleled. I have had to call repeatedly because there is a piece missing from my vehicle and almost 6 weeks later, I'm still dealing with their ineptitude. They couldn't figure out what part to buy, then they ordered the wrong part, now I can't get a manager to call me back to discuss. Unbelievable. For the exorbitant amount they charge compared to other entities in the area, they yield a HORRIBLE outcome. I truly hope other people haven't had the same experience because it has been awful for me. I hope they make some changes to prevent this kind of deplorable experience. From beginning to end, I've had issues. When your insurance is way easier to deal with than the repair shop, that's really, really bad. UPDATE: once I finally got through to a manager, the experience went much more smoothly and he did follow through with what he promised so I'm adjusting my rating. My wife's BMW was repaired here in January of 2015 (front bumper, passenger headlight, passenger/front fender). The customer service was exceptional (thank you Alex for all your help), the facility was extremely well kept and clean (awesome coffee/snack bar) and the qualify of the repairs to the BMW was exceptional. My wife is very picky about her car and her first response to seeing it after the repairs was that "it looks better than it did before the accident." The paint matched beautifully, the alignment of all the parts was perfect (even the gap between the fender, hood, bumper, etc. was consistent). I received a recommendation for this specific Kniesel's shop by someone in the industry that was familiar with quality paintwork. My automotive journey was guided by Amber who provided amazing customer service through every stage of bringing my vehicle back to life. Each channel by which I communicated received a quick response: text, email, phone, and a few unannounced walk-ins. Yes--I was THAT customer. More importantly, Amber's responses illustrated expert understanding on materials and good practices. My concerns were understood, researched, and addressed in a way that left me confident that I was receiving the very best automotive repair work out there. But what really won me over for Kniesel's was their culture of customer care. I ended up hanging out in the beautiful reception area waiting for a ride. While sitting there, I saw customer after customer come in with an avalanche of concerns about what would happen next, worries about important deadlines, and a lot of repeat questions. (so many repeat questions) All this is no surprise: being in a collision is high stress. I had the windshield replaced in my Tesla as part of a larger repair job at Kniesel's. A few days later, I noticed that a couple of sensors in the rear view mirror, which are used when the driver places the headlights or wipers into "auto" mode, were not working properly. I suspected, but couldn't prove, that this problem was related to the windshield replacement, since the mirror is attached to the windshield. Jason Campbell at Kniesel's was completely accommodating. He offered to bring the third-party windshield guys back in to take a look at Kniesel's expense, and even arranged for me to be given a rental, again at Kniesel's expense, on the day the work was scheduled. Sure enough, they found a couple of wires in the mirror were plugged into each other's connectors, and swapping them solved the problems. My experience demonstrates that Kniesel's stands behind their work, even when I had only circumstantial evidence to indicate the problem was related to the repair they had performed. I couldn't be more satisfied about the way my problem was received, handled, and resolved by Kniesel's. read more

The front and side of my car was scratched in a car wash and I called Kniesel's to make an appointment for a repair estimate. I was impressed that they were able to have me come in on the same day! Rodrigo looked at the damage and suggested buffing it out, and within minutes most of the car looked virtually new again! There's other damage that needs to be taken care of but the fact that he was able to make such a big difference in such a short time without it costing an arm and a leg was the most mind-blowing customer service I've experienced in a LONG time! Very happy with the work that was done on my car and my customer experience with this shop. They were very friendly and on top of it with my insurance and getting me my rental car next door at Enterprise and I really appreciated that. I had an emergency out of state and I couldn't pick my car up for a week after it was done and they were very very accommodating with helping me out with that. My Model 3 was unfortunately backed into by a careless driver. I was told to bring my car to Kniesel's for repair, as they are Tesla approved. My car, "Tess" was expertly repaired and returned to me as good as new. I have had to return to Kniesel's for wheel replacement when I accidentally curbed my wheel, (not proud of that)... On the up side each time I have had the pleasure of having Hannah as my rep. making each experience as painless as one could expect. Hannah is both competent and professional -- a true asset to Kniesel's. Needless to say if any of my friends or neighbors need repairs I'll definitely refer them to Kniesel's in Rocklin and tell them to ask for Hannah. If I could give a worse rating than one star, I would. Vehicle: Tesla Model S 2015 Delivery date to the shop: December 8th Their initial estimate of the vehicle damages took 21 days. They gave me a date of February 4th, which was already too late. Yes, Teslas are difficult cars and their parts are not readily available but I called Tesla ahead of time notifying them of the situation and they informed me that their parts will be ready to ship as soon as the shop orders them as they don't have any part delays!! Good news, right? No! The shop made it a point to blame Tesla for their delays, while this was not true at all. On the 24th of January, the shop informs me that the vehicle is going into the next step - which is the paint job. At this time, the delivery date had already been pushed to the 12th of February but I was optimistic because if the vehicle is going into the painting status, I would think the vehicle will be ready by February 4th. Nope, this did not happen. I waited it out until the 12th, and on the 12th, I get a notice saying that it will be ready on the 22nd instead. I write them an email saying getting a notice on the date of the delivery is unacceptable. Again, I waited 'til today, 22nd of February, the delivery date! After 15 calls since this morning, someone finally takes my call and says the vehicle is still in assembly. Wah! At this point, I am considering pulling my vehicle out of the shop. read more
