Been going there for years but lately the place seems to need a make over. I went there friday and the front door handle was broken completely off and they had some type of makeshift shower door handle suctioned to the door. The carpet was torn and a trip hazard. Make your own fantastic sandwiches at home filled to the brim with fresh delicious ingredients and ample meats and cheeses or tuna or chicken salad!! These end trimmings are ideal to make grilled sandwiches or patty melts with! Want some amazing garlic bread or a base for mini pizzas for kiddos? Here ya go! We have been the both Kneader's locations here in Yuma and this one is my favorite! The restaurant is clean, the staff is nice, and the food is delicious. I love that it doesn't cost an arm and a leg to eat here. For breakfast this morning, I ordered a bacon egg and cheese croissant sandwich and the kids pancake meal with milk, and got a huge loaf of the chunky cinnamon bread too, all for about $17. And that loaf of bread will continue to feed us breakfast for a few days! The gift that keeps on giving honestly - if you haven't eaten that bread and you like cinnamon rolls and carbs and sweet things, GO GET SOME. Like, yesterday. The environment during our meal was totally relaxed and it was just nice to sit and eat breakfast with my son at a restaurant (covid procedures are enforced here so we felt completely safe!). But they also have a drive thru if you want to get a quick bite to go. And y'all, this food is so much fresher and tastier than most any "fast food" so why not use this drive thru if you're in a hurry?! So good. So healthy. And the breakfast sandwich beats any other quick breakfast meal for on the go. It was divine! And it was huge. I took a picture of it next to my hand for comparison but it's probably twice as big as other breakfast sandwiches you might get elsewhere. They also have lots of baked goods on display that I wanted to try but alas, I was stuffed. Fresh baked breads and some cute seasonal / decorative items to shop, as well. We love stopping in here and getting the various soups! We also enjoy getting the carrot cake and cheesecake. I love that they're closed on Sundays, unfortunately though, I normally crave there soup on Sunday's. They also have a nice sitting area outside. On a previous trip through Yuma, I heard about Kneader's and really wanted to check it out since. Being that on my most recent trip we were passing through at a late time, this out of the way location (from interstate 8) had to do. Overall impression? A cute little bakery and eatery, especially for the Yuma area. The decor reminded me of a cute little country cottage. Soups and bread are delicious. Sandwiches are simple, nothing fancy. Desserts look (almost) irresistible in the display case, I resisted as it was late night. We loved Kneaders when we were here a couple of years ago, but we went last week and NEVER AGAIN. The girl taking our order rushed us to decided. There were no clean tables, and worst was the girl running around delivering the food with her mask holding up her chin. We were shocked to see her come in from delivering good outside, with her FINGER UP HER NOSE, grab another tray and keep going. You'll get faster service once you go inside, anyway. 4Stars for the fact that they stay open late, at least the one that's on Avenue B does. Beats going to the fastfood drive thrus that are nearby. Daughter likes the turkey ranch sandwich. Husband likes the French Dip. I like the Veggie or the Portobello sandwich, using ciabatta bread. Son likes the PB&J sandwich on the kids meal. A good solid bakery for Yuma. The wife and I eat here often, their sandwiches are great, soups are solid(cheddar brocolli is the best) and there service is average. (which is saying a lot for Yuma!!! ) I normally go for a French Dip, they give you over a cup of Au Jus!!! Wife loves the Roast Beef Ranch. Some tips: First they have a rewards card that they dont promote very much. Get it. They give you like 5% which is stored on the card... You can cash that in whenever you like. Second, there are two kneaders, This one is close on Sundays, the other isn't. This one isnt busy on none peak times, the other one always seems busy. (It is located at the Mall) Finally, it is pricey. If you get a soup and a sandwich make it a combo 1 and you get the drink free. If you are craving a sandwich that looks better than subways and is healthier for you then give Kneader's Bakery a shot. read more

I used to love kneaders even when the service was slow, but lately employees seem to not care. I recently got a roast beef sandwich and it came with more lettuce on it than meat. Oh, but not to worry, it also came with a piece of ham on it just in case they thought I wanted a bite of ham instead. I also went in at night, an hour before closing when we were the only ones in there, and the employees were loud and very mouthy. The second I walked into the building I heard one of the employees tell everyone "So I found out I'm not pregnant" and all employees started laughing..... And on top of that, while dining in you could hear the employees sitting at a table cussing and being obnoxious across the dining area. With a name like Kneader's Bakery, you think they'd be all about the bread. This isn't so. When I walk in I see a display case full of brownies and cookies. Perhaps my expectations were just not met, hence the disappointment. I will say that they delivered a solid chicken salad sandwich, which came with a green salad. Their dressing was quite tasty too, but it was only greens with dressing with no signs of any other vegetable.
