Charming place, but man oh man could they work on service. In true Utah form, they are doing everything they can to cut back on costs and the frugality shows in one of the most devastating ways-customer service. The kids who work here are apathetic, disinterested and inattentive. So no matter how good my croissant is (and it was!) I don't feel like this is a place I want to frequent because it's so unpleasant. Sorry for the harsh words, but I think it's important for the management to understand and address this. I am giving this 3 starts mostly because the pressed orange juice was amazing. So the pros are, I think if you go through the drive thru and want a pastry and a drink you will be fine. The cinnamon roll is very good. If that isn't what you want they have a good amount of other items to choose from. The coffee isn't bad either. The cons, the place wasn't very clean and the process isn't clear. When you walk in it is the type of place that you order and then sit down and then they call your name to come and get it. I ordered a Greek Omelette and it was mostly egg with feta. Additionally it is pretty pricey. For a sandwich, omelette, cinnamon roll and OJ it was almost $50. I visited the Jordan Landings location on November 13th between approximately 5:30 and 6:30 PM, and let me tell you, I am absolutely beside myself with what I witnessed. APPALLED doesn't even begin to cover it. Around 6 PM, I began hearing the most vile, ungodly language coming straight from the kitchen. And yes, that included racial slurs, loud enough that I, a paying customer, could hear them clear as day. Not only that, but one staff member seemed to believe he was running some sort of boot-camp, barking at other employees in a tone that was completely unacceptable. I could not help but wonder: If this is how the staff behaves in plain view of customers, what on earth is happening behind the scenes with the FOOD? Because frankly, if this is the standard of professionalism, I shudder to imagine the standard of hygiene. Quite honestly, the man responsible for destroying my dining experience should be held accountable, and not lightly. I have been on this earth long enough to know when something is wrong, and what I heard today was beyond wrong. It was abhorrent. I stood, ignored for 15 minutes, while who I can only assume is the owner shuffled about, while people who had arrived after me had received their food and about 20 cars in the drive through had come and gone. 10:55, I spoke up. The Tarts are the star of the show here! I love the baked good here, but the fruit tarts are awe- some! The Chocolate Bomb is pretty stellar as well! The Soups are just okay, nothing I leave my house thinking "I Need soup" for. The sandwiches are a bit on the pricey side but are pretty good. During the winter their Chili in a sourdough bowl is something I would leave the house for. The service is adequate, and I find myself writing that in many of my review, which is more of a commentary on the state of service in the world. I will happily write and shout out good service, and great people. But the last couple of visits to this restaurant have met a minimum level of service. The Dining room is clean. The wrapping station is a pretty cool feature when you're feeding these sugary delights to the people you love, or merely tolerate, but want to sweeten up. read more

Around Christmas, we ordered soup and the turkey cranberry croissant sandwiches. They were unacceptable. The bread, turkey, and dressing were dry. The soup was lukewarm. It was busy and we thought it was a fluke. We returned last week about 30 minutes before closing. We got some half-priced pastries (no complaints) and bread and soup. My stew was lukewarm. My wife's cheddar broccoli was ice cold. We asked them to reheat them. Even then, my wife's soup was still very cold. We decided to go home to heat it up ourselves. I haven't wanted to return to Kneaders but a couple nights ago my wife talked me into getting Kneaders. I told her I've been really disappointed in them, this location in particular, the last several times I've had them. Well this visit was no different and for at least four very bad visits in a row they are getting a one star review, which I almost never do. I got my regular, a Turkey and Artichoke Panini which comes with chips and a pickle spear. Okay, I lied, that's what I ordered. What I got was a Turkey Sandwich that was light on the Turkey. No artichoke at all. None. No artichoke on the Turkey and Artichoke panini. There were no chips and no pickle spear, which I think must just be how they serve it now because I haven't gotten one or the other or both in any of my last four visits. Besides all the things just missing the sandwich was not as good as normal even excusing the omissions. Very dry and flavorless. I think this place is on a steep decline and I wouldn't be surprised if they aren't around in two years even though they developed a pretty solid customer base in previous years when their food was considerably better. read more

So, I come I to Kneaders for some lunch. I just love the Cheddar Broccoli soup. I order a sandwich and a soup and pay $12+ with a drink. Didn't think it would be that hard. Sandwich and a soup. The sandwich was 70% bread and there is like $0.20 toppings on it and the soup is the size I feed a newborn baby. I look up at the menu and gave me the side soup. I didn't ask for the side soup. I tried to get their attention to fix this, but they basically ignored me and continued to take new orders. Avoid this store at all cost. They cut corners to get orders out the door and seem to hope that customers would rather just not come back then try and get them to fix the problem. Then the kids empties the garbage RIGHT BEHIND ME! He was less than a foot from me emptying the garbage and it REEKED!!! Lost my appetite after that and left my sandwich untouched on the table. I am continuously disappointed by this location over and over again. Tonight my husband drove to this Kneaders arriving at 8:30 to order from the drive through. Apparently they decided that even though their hours close at 9 pm, no one would be allowed to have a hot sandwich for no reason other than they are just too lazy to TURN ON THE HOT SANDWICH PRESS. Not to mention when we stopped by this location last weekend and they were out of stock of basically EVERYTHING. Based on the service that we have received time and time again, I refuse to believe that they were actually out of stock and the staff is obviously just not motivated to even care about their customer base. Not a fan of there's coffee though, a lil bland and boring. I do like that they also have a pick two option where you can get a soup and sandwich or salad combinations for a reasonable price. And a whole bunch of canteloupe and honeydew that had to just be thrown out. No body could eat it because it was not ripe and it was so hard you could hardly even bite it. Whenever I go to kneaders I always get 2 things, The Chunky Cinnamon French Toast, this wakes me up every morning. I enjoy 2 thick slices of french toast, fluffy whipped cream paired with the caramel sauce is so sweet and full of awesomeness !! and trust me I don't share when I order this lol. This Chocolate Mousse dome is a must !! The mousse is so smooth going down, it has a bottom layer of dark chocolate cake on the bottom of this treat and the chocolate Ganache covering also has chocolate shavings on the bottom half of the dome...Omgeeee!!! It will satisfy any sweet cravings. The dome shape is fun, my son gets excited because he knows the dome chocolate is from Kneaders. They also have a French Toast feast. The  breakfast family meal for five with 10 slices of Chunky Cinnamon French Toast, 10 strips of bacon, whipped topping, sliced strawberries, caramel syrup, and servingware.
