Been passing this place for close to my whole life, finally stopped to check it out. Descent little small town burger joint that plays 50's music in dining room that also has a drive thru. Got the double meat bacon cheeseburger with some tots, burger is solid with a little ground pepper added. Steak fingers were also pretty good, as was the gravy. Fries weren't very fresh but tater tots were. Good service and cleanliness brought me to the fourth star.

    There's a drive thru!

the place has sold, no more homemade root beer. Hamburgers are good, service is good, workers are sweet hearts.

Bacon double cheese burger, tots, and home made root beer. One of the best meals I've had in Cuero.

Everything about this place, esp if you like history was neat. Our server, can't remember her name, was new but spot on, funny, knew her stuff, hard worker and kept busy. She recommended several dishes and was spot on. I did the Steak / Mushrooms "add baked potato" and my guest enjoyed her Chicken Fried Chicken couldn't finish the Potato herself (but I did) :) I'd love to try other things here in the future. Definitely a must try. Enjoy!

While on our tour I called and Kloesel's was able to set us up with a last minute reservation for 6:30 pm on a Saturday. Having made the reservation I showed up early to make sure everything was in place and was very happy to see they had set up a table for us in a private area near the bar that had fresh linens and menus and was clearly ready for us. Our waitress was excellent. Joking with our party she kept the drinks and food flowing. All of the entrees including an awesome minestrone soup, salad and various comfort food and steaks was amazing. The owner came out to thank us for our visit and to talk for bit and we loved it. We would very highly recommend as the quality of food and the level of service was outstanding!

Our server was nice, but she must have been a hummingbird in a previous life because she didn't stick around very long. She dropped off menus but then didn't wait to take our drink order (we were ready). She came back for our drink order but then jetted off before we could give her our app order. Later she dropped off food and skedaddled before we could order a second round (which we had been ready for for awhile). Food? Meh. It was bland. Took 45 min after ordering to get to our table. The philly cheese steak. More steak than cheese and wasn't prepared remotely like a cheese steak. Large chunks of steak, not shaved. The ambiance was kind of cold, not very inviting. And the bar is a very weird set up. I'm not sure what this building was in a previous life, but if someone designed it to be a restaurant... I'd ask for my money back. Two starts on the drinks. They weren't horrible.

It was a nice, hot, muggy day! We enjoyed the BBQ, the beer, and the cocktails. I don't drink beer (but if I did I'm sure it would be Shiner beer) so I was glad to see they had a distillery with pretty much a full bar. Three of us took the tour, which was fascinating! The AC was not working well in some parts of the building that day so part of the tour, we were sweating quite a bit during parts of it because it was a hot day. The BBQ (lean brisket and sausage) was good but their sauce was a bit watery/bland. I believe the spirits were also made by the same people but I haven't seen that brand in other stores before. I had a paloma (they don't have grapefruit soda so it was just made with ruby red grapefruit juice and vodka with some soda water) and a spicy margarita. Both were good but tasted different than a typical vodka or tequila drink to me. The friends I went with have gone there several times and said the drinks/cocktails seemed watered down this time didn't taste the same as they usually do so we wondered if they had changed their spirits or the measurements. I guess I'll have to go back again some day and see if they've gone back to their usual drink recipes!

Open space with lots of seating and enough yard for kids to play and throw footballs (some kids don't realize their aim/catching skill level so beware if you're sitting close to the activity). We booked the distillery tour which was a fun and educational activity. You also get to sample the spirits and walk away with souvenir bag. There's a nice big bar area outside with snacks, you can also order food and more substantial snacks through the restaurant. There is also a nice gift shop with lots of goodies. Everything was yummy. Especially the pretzels. I didn't know I could love pretzels that much! Service was friendly. Definitely a nice way to spend the day off you want to get away.
