We had pre-ordered our plates (beef or chicken fajitas mainly) and they started serving us about ten minutes after we sat down. There are about 50 of us. The four servers obviously have taken care of large groups before. Smooth, fast and efficient they are. The food was pretty good. The green sauce has a good kick. We had sopapillas and honey for dessert. A great ending to a good meal.

I ordered their barbacoa plate with homemade corn tortillas. I am picky about my barbacoa and I've had bad barbacoa and this barbacoa was close to perfection as it was spiced to perfection and not even close to being stringy or dry. My over-easy eggs were also cooked to perfection. Plus one ordered her usual migas plate and exclaimed that this plate was also fantastic. There was enough food on her plate to easily split and it was a shame that even with my assistance we could only finish about two-thirds of the serving. Service was on point as we never lacked water or coffee refills. I also liked that a variety of sauces were provided with our meal. If you find yourself in Kenedy go where the locals go-to Taqueria Los Potros de Jalisco for a marvelous breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

First off, we received the complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa! Wow! Definitely made there, not out of a jar. It is very chunky but the flavor is amazing! The meats were your normal meats but super tasty and very well cooked. The sauces were very flavorful. The place itself is nice. It is country, nothing fancy. But comfortable. They are very much open for business, to go & dine in. There was plenty of ample parking. I was greeted upon entry and served chips & salsa...both tasted fresh and delicious. Told my server what I was hungry for and she suggested several plates. I ordered Steak ala mexicana Taco & a cheese enchilada. Taco on flour tortilla was generous helping of tender beef and mix of tomato & jalapeño. Cheese enchilada, OMG, just light a match to it and would have become "queso fondido"...thick cheese and bits of shredded carne guisada in the mix... by far "The Best" cheese enchilada I have had in years.
