Food was really good. And the service was great! Ambiance was good. Server was very nice and friendly!

Bad food and terrible service, I ordered the enchilada plate and it was cold, greasy and the server allowed me another dish but I was not happy with the food. I dont recommend read more

This restaurant is located on the main strip downtown Cuero. It is located inside an old building of which I was told it was an old furniture store followed by a grocery store years before. The vast ceiling is an antique tin relief from the 30's or 40's, maybe earlier. There are about 20 tables that are Four Tops. This must be one of the more popular spots to eat in town since most tables were full by noon. As soon as you are seated they bring you a complementary basket of chips and smoky red salsa. The service was pretty good although we never got our chips or salsa refilled. You definitely got your money's worth as far as the food goes. They make their own hot tortillas. The only thing that we found to be lacking in quality was in the use of what appears to be cheese whiz or velveeta on my wife's order, otherwise it was a great spot for lunch for under $20 for 2. read more

Best Mexican food in Cuero by far! Service is always great! The puffy tacos and queso are AMAZING. Highly recommend coming here before they sell! read more

Deliciously yummy family-owned Mexican food! Great location in the center of downtown. Mouth-watering breakfast tacos and lunch dishes like scrumptious fagitas, chalupas, and enchiladas. Queso, salsa, and chips are the test of any Mexican restaurant, and these are on point. I have ordered dozens of their corn tortillas to go, because they are that good, and I'm usually just a flour tortilla fan. This is one of those eateries that you are proud to bring your out-of-town guests to as well. Excellent service every time!! Take-out and eat-in here is on regular rotation for my family! read more

Service is great, bathrooms are clean and the food is good, traditional Mexican food. We get the #30 and the #33... Huevos Ranchero One with bacon and one with sausage. read more

This is some truly awesome Mexican food! Absolutely on par with some of the best Mexican restaurants in San Antonio. The tortillas were home made and delicious, the carne guisada tender and lean with a sumptuous gravy, and the puffy tacos, though petite, were flavorful and pleasantly much less greasy than most puffy tacos can be. To top it all off, the staff could not have been any friendlier or hospitable. read more

Stopped by on the recommendation of a friend back home in East Texas. They had family out this way. It was a hit. Loved the enchilada sauce.

They always have fantastic food every time we come, enchiladas are a 10/10. Same with the chips and salsa. Owner is very nice so are all the waitresses. And I've never seen it dirty, they always keep it nice and clean. read more

TexMex at its nearly best! I Jones for the enchilada plate. It's the first Tex mex chili cumin gravy enchilada I've ever craved. More a New Mexican red sauce kind of guy. Don't know how they do it... maybe crack? The puffy tacos are good and would be great if they spiced up the beef a bit more. As always in south Texas Tex mex cafes, ask for the spicy green sauce they keep in back for themselves... read more

Stopped in on our way to Goliad. Pros: The tortilla chips were warm and the salsa homemade, homemade corn and flour tortillas which were wonderful. Rice was on point!!!! Refried beans average. Barbacoa was really good! Cons: don't order the puffy tacos, they were greasy and soggy and fell apart. Overall: worth the visit! read more

I answered several questions with a recent drop-in here; Q: Where can you eat good Mexican food at a nice place in Cuero? A: Rosies. There are others, but they only exist to take the overflow when this place is PACKED. Q; What time should I get here if am dining on a Sunday? A; Before noon - and don't be late! If you get here at noon or a little after, you will be waiting behind all of the good church going people in Cuero. Q: How good are the chips and salsa? A: Very good! Spicy, homemade salsa and nice thick crispy chips tambien. Q: How was venue and Service? A: As stated in a previois review, this place is immaculate, and the service is TOP NOTCH! Q; How's the food? A: Overall, good. Enchiladas with chile con carne sauce are quite good, as are the tortillas and refried bean .....Oh, AND you can get a puffy taco!! Yum! We usually come here for breakfast. I got two breakfast tacos which ended up being a lot larger than I thought they would be. I got one egg and bacon and one egg and potato with cheese, but in hindsight I would have been much happier with one egg, potato and cheese with a side of bacon. The potatoes could have been cooked longer and been more crispy, and I didn't realize I could have asked for a corn tortilla which I think would have really made the breakfast tacos top notch. Something for me to remember whenever I am visiting Cuero again. Their chips are good, but I am a fan of thin tortilla chips and they serve thick ones here. The accompanying salsa was very good. read more

You can be guaranteed you'll get good food at Rosie's. Friendly staff and good prices.

Heading home from coastal fishing and found out about Rosie's through Yelp. Rosie's did NOT disappoint! Place was packed at 1 pm! We did get a table right away (1 of the last 2) Service was prompt, chips, salsa, and drinks right away. Waitress came back several times to check on us the even though it was busy. Beer came with a nice frosty mug on the side which is always a big ++! Food- Salsa was great, it did pack a punch. Chips were thick and fresh. Portions were huge! Ordered the appetizer Nachos and got the beef fajita for a little extra $. Well worth it! It says the serving size is 12 nachos, however, half way thru the order my husband and I were like "this is way more than 12, we have eaten 12 each!" Got the Guacamole on the side. ( hubby doesn't eat it) and it was nice and creamy. I recommend getting jalapeños on the side because the cheese is very rich and it gives a little balance. We also shared the 1 pound beef fajitas. Wow! It was a whole TON instead. Shoulda just got that without the Nachos because we had to get a to-go box! read more

Best Tex Mex food in town with some other choices on the menu as well. The service is good, staff very courteous, food comes out quickly and correctly, and the enchiladas are really good. I don't know if they make their own salsa but it is so much better than any other I've had in town (and I think by now I've had them all). The restaurant is attractive, all things considered, alway very clean and we always have a good experience. My only complaint would be that they close at 2pm and there are many nights I have longed for their enchiladas and puffy tacos for dinner. I think they have recently opened on Friday nights but haven't been yet for anything but lunch. read more

Rosie's is without a doubt the best place in Cuero for delicious and authentic Mexican food. Also the only place left in town for a really good breakfast. Though only open for dinner on Friday, if you stop here you will be pleased. Always clean, good food, excellent service, it packs a 5-star punch.
