I stopped here for the first time, it was right at noontime. The parking lot was full however there were still a few open tables. I was greeted immediately. I had the burger, it was excellent, the fries were hot and crispy and the sweet tea was perfect for my tastes, just the correct amount of sugar. One of the others at my table went with the BLT- lots of bacon making it also an excellent sandwich. Even though the dining room was full the sound level was not too high. Yes a million times!! The burgers are the BEST!! My mouth is watering because I want another one! The tots were delicious and great fries. They even have spicy seasoning out!! Visited this place yesterday 7/12/24 It was my first time and it did not disappoint! I ordered the big burger. (It's not really a "BIG"burger but it's fulfilling) it was delicious! And it comes with a side of your choice. I got crinkle cut fries and also a drink. My husband and I ordered the same thing and our total was about $20. Well spent. About the same as whataburger! Lol The staff is very friendly! The place was clean. Seemed to be very family operated. Everyone knew everyone there. We felt very welcome. Shout out to the pregnant woman working. I was making a long road trip and happen to pass through Victoria, TX and I was craving a burger but wanted something local. Jim's Big Burger was recommended to me to check out so I went through the drive thru and picked up a bacon cheeseburger with fries. The drive thru was very interesting and not your typical drive thru, pick up your food, and go. You go through the drive thru to put your order in, pay, and then you will be instructed to go Park. There is a speaker in the front of the restaurant that yells out your name once your order is done. You will then need to go inside and pick up your order. Very strange drive thru and I am not sure if I really agree it passes as a "drive thru". Moving on... the food. I was pleasantly surprised how tasty the burger was! It was simple but made with the very fresh vegetables and beef patty was seasoned well. The burger size is slightly bigger than a McDonald's hamburger but much smaller than a whataburger size burger. They gave plenty of fresh French fries and the meal was not heavy, not super filling, but just enough. If I ever go through Victoria again I will definitely stop here to get a burger. read more

Our visit today left us with a bad taste in our mouths. The fish burger I got was drenched in oil. We could taste the oil. Makes me think they need to change the pill. Holy Jesus! I've driven by this place and wanted to stop. You see, I am a huge fan of small town burger joints. I was in Victoria to watch our nephew play some little league. We read the reviews and thought we were going for some amazing, homemade hamburger. This is actually a processed premade, frozen hamburger like you would get when you were in grade school. The burgers were awful they're thin, there's no flavor and they're not appetizing. I was super disappointed. it's basically high school food, so if you dig high school food you're gonna love this place. But if you want a homemade hamburger that's big and juicy and made of hundred percent ground beef you're gonna be severely disappointed. I will say that the staff were extremely nice. read more

Omg this place is amazing! We got there @ 4:50pm on a Saturday and they close at 5pm. They still served us happily even tho they were about to close. Stopped here today at 4 pm not busy at all pulled in drive through and noticed sign that says 3.5% up charges are applied if you don't use cash . That is shady business.. I ordered a sweet tea and fries. No burgeon other food . Was told to pull around and wait. So I did 15 minutes later I was called on intercom to come get my food and of course fries were cold and soggy. I'm glad I had to wait and then go in and get them myself. Traveling through and stopped with my mother to get a burger. No seating for her in her wheelchair! We had to resort to eating outside with flies around our food. We won't be stopping here when we come through again (we come through at least two times a month) unless they make changes to their seating. If you're in a wheelchair don't bother stopping.
