Maybe the best burger I ever had…read more My advice: Add jalapeño, add bacon, no mayo, no cheese. It's the perfect combination of meats, crunchy fresh veggies and acidity. And I opt for the tots. The tots are great. Service is friendly and it's a comfortable place to eat, either inside or in the parking lot. It's great for roadtrips too, because you can order in the drive thru, and a few minutes later they'll call your name on the loudspeaker outside, which gives you a perfect few minutes for dog walking.

Their menu varied from nachos to fried seafood. I ordered their fried shrimp and fish platter with the side salad and fries. The fish was hot and good. I believe they use real catfish, unlike some of the other restaurants. Next time I make ask them to fry it a little harder but it was indeed good! The side salad had that shredded lettuce so it was ok. The shrimp were seasoned and fried well too.

I started hunting and based off of pictures and reviews, I found Casa Hernandez. I drove over there but they were not open. Probably due to Beryl. I decided to go to the old Schultz, now known as Diamond W. That was a complete mistake. The Enchilladas were dry as the Sahara, and no chili gravy. Just Hamburger meat inside the tortilla and cheese on the top. It comes with 3 and I guess they got lazy on the 3rd one. It hardly had nothing in or on it. I definitely will not be going there again when I'm in town. Ughhhhh...

This place is quite pricey all around, about 10miles up from victoria in the middle of not much else. You can easily drive by and miss it; but its worth a stop! Other foods we order: crab was good, wish it had more flavor or seasoned butter, Cheese curds are good, Not a fan of beignets; they are nothing like the ones I've had in New Orleans. These were thick and for some reason they filled it with warm chocolate but it didn't say that on the menu. I wouldn't order again. The vibe here is cool tho!
