Best. Earbuds. You. Can. Buy. Ever…read more These really are top notch (as evidenced by the price(s)). Their range is weighted more to professional products--this is what many (most?) major artists (including, but not limited to Bono) use for monitors while in concert. Pretty good selling point. I got some of the "lower end" stuff, assuming any set of earbuds in the $300 price range can be called low end, but they are towards the bottom of their product line. And no--i couldn't swing them on my own--they were a (very generous) graduation gift a number of years ago. The sound is *awesome*. They are "internal" earbuds (they actually go inside the ear canal), which some people (see e.g., Ms. K. and Laura J.) can't do. But assuming you're all right with that, you'll be richly rewarded with better sound than you could imagine from earbuds. Great highs, clear, strong mid-range, and great, brain bumping lows. My brother has had two pairs of Bose noise-canceling headphones and although I love those things, I think I'd take my Shures. They don't cancel noise, but because there is a complete seal (like a foam earplug), it blocks most of the noise from your ears anyways. They come with a wide range (six pairs?) of optional earbud pieces--rubber, foam, varying sizes, etc. so you'll be able to get close to a custom fit. Did I mention the sound is phenomenal? And they last (as something this expensive should be expected to do). Which is part of my plug--I've had these for five years now and have used them on a regular and routine (even if not (quite) daily) basis. And I've used them hard too: mountain biking, jogging, backpacking, hiking, plane trips, to the beach, etc., etc. They've held up (mostly) too. The wire/cable on one side has begun to lose its outer covering, but everything still works great. Can't recommend these any more highly. If you have the means (or a great family to get them for you as a gift), I recommend you check them out. Worth every penny.

He chose MixMastered Acoustics because their prices are awesome, they are a local business, and their shipping is free. For me, I gave my hubby two thumbs up to purchase from here, because I care how the room and panels look and was thrilled they offered an off-white linen burlap. Thankfully I won't have to look at some 80's-vibe velvet wrapped panels in my home. After much anticipation, the panels were delivered. Once we opened the box and compared it with the original swatch, the dye lot was a tad off and more on the yellow side than the creamier side. The panels did not look good in the room, so we contacted the owner, and Dan bent over backwards to correct the situation. He was determined for us to be happy and sent us another swatch for our approval and ordered fabric from another manufacturer to make sure we were satisfied. Dan personally offered to pick up and deliver rewrapped panels to us, but we wanted to expedite the situation and drove out to meet him in person at his workspace and he rewrapped them in the newly selected fabric while we waited. Top notch service, matched with a top notch product. This is what you can expect from an independent business that truly wants you to be happy. We don't have the room pulled together yet, but as soon as we do, I'll add more photos to this review.

The stands were packed loosely, and although the box wasn't damaged, the stands suffered significant stress fractures and were unusable. I contacted Precision Audio with descriptions and photos. They did not have replacement units, and new stands are quite expensive. They offered to reimburse me for repairs. I sourced a local furniture repair company for structural work, but since the stands have a very high gloss finish, they also required paint work at an auto body shop. I was able to get the work done for a very reasonable price (less than $600). I followed up with Precision Audio with copies of the repair invoices. They ghosted me. I sent several emails and left voice messages with no replies. This company does not stand behind their products, and I will never do business with them again. Be very cautious before buying anything from Precision Audio & Video - Chicago.

We called AVDG in Chicago because our Sonos system was having problems, cutting in and out. A…read morecouple of men came to our house and thought that the problem with Sonos was our internet. They thought it had been set up wrong, so they reconfigured the modem and the Asus routers that send Wi-Fi around our big house. They said we should get the new modem that Xfinity was offering for free. We got the new modem (gateway) from the Xfinity store and set it up. Then one man from AVDG came to our house and removed one of the two Asus routers and set the other to work with the new Xfinity modem. He also reconfigured the Sonos system to work better (made a sonosnet) with the older components (Sonos Connect) that we have. It was working fine when he left. But now the music still cuts out frequently. Sometimes it's just a brief disturbance, but other times it's so frequent and annoying that we just have to turn the music off. It's possible that the problem is with our hardware (the 2 amplifiers or the Sonos components ). So, after spending more than $800 the original problem remains. We probably have a better internet and WiFi system, but we were not having problems with that before.

They came recommended to me by a friend who I trusted when it came to tech things so I figured I would give them a shot. The prices were not cheap but I was looking to do things right so I went ahead with the process. I spent over 80k for shades and smart home installation including equipment as well as pay a year subscription to a service for support. 1) Shade Install Overall this process went ok. The installers actually did a good job but they brought a shade which had a giant spot on it and tried convincing me it could be cleaned. After failed attempts they finally replaced it and overall the shades worked fine until about a year after when one shade had rolled onto itself. I scheduled an appointment for the shade as well as a technical issue and they finally came. The guy was very nice and professional and while fixing the tech issue (flashing tv signal from the Apple TV) he didn't bring a ladder and told me I would have to schedule that again. While I don't mind constantly making appointments I do try to have a life outside of scheduling them with AVDG. 2) Technical Setup This initially seemed like it went well. They installed a Control 4 system with dimmable LED lights and a mesh WiFi network. Upon first look everything was shiny and impressive. However, the problems were just beginning. To start, I wasn't really offered anything other than Control 4. This is an abysmal piece of software. DO NOT EVER BUY THIS if you have the money and want to do things right. After install everything went wrong. Speakers wouldn't work. TVs would end up on the same IP and malfunction. The WiFi network was garbage and the signal wouldn't reach different parts of the house. The initial setup didn't include a large enough switch to make sure all my Ethernet ports in the home were working so when I tried to set up a home office I was surprised (though this is my fault for not reading the specs) that they didn't work. Upon reaching out to the representative, I was told that work would be an additional $900 and I would need to buy a new piece of equipment. I am not sure why they made the decision that I wouldn't want all my Ethernet ports on given it was a brand new home and I was willing to spend money. I ended up getting mad and finding an alternative solution for this issue. However, the problems never stopped. I've scheduled over 12 visits to handle numerous tech issues. Volume not working. The handling between inputs not working properly. Network issues with no connection. The list is endless. The last straw came two days ago when the network randomly made a private IP so no secure login connection could be accessed from the home. No Apple TV. No apps on Apple TV (Netflix HBO etc), no banking, no vpn, nada. The Ovrc system I pay an additional subscription for yearly to help trouble shoot my network also didn't work (of course) because it also requires a login! I emailed 3x regarding this issue as COVID has pushed me to WFH and this requires a login...go figure...only to sit looking into a blank inbox from AVDG (on my phones LTE of course - because email also requires a login). Even as I write this review I have to use my phone because yelp will not allow the connection between whatever rogue network randomly took over in the middle of the day. My "smart" home setup has become essentially useless. I can't use any of my devices and can't work from home. While I do understand that sh*t happens, the lack of response and support for the amount of money spent and the yearly subscription just goes to show you the unbelievably terrible service of AVDG. I WILL NEVER work with this company again. I do not recommend you do either. Find someone else as this is probably one of the most terrible experiences for the money I have ever had.

I've rented sound boards, all kinds of speakers, amplifiers, lighting & wireless microphones. They patiently explain to me how to hook whatever up & have even drawn up a diagram of how a more complicated process should go. FYI their place in Countryside also sells equipment.
