Went here this morning to do a little bit of work and a couple things: - Only one outlet in sight - Small place but plenty of empty seats on a Monday morning - The vanilla bean latte tastes weird. I can't put my finger on it, maybe a little gasoline-y? It's not undrinkable but almost there for me. - The cappuccino muffin is DELICIOUS. Super moist, huge chunks of chocolate, probably one of the best muffins I've ever had. Not much coffee taste as far as I can tell though. I probably would go here again, but I'd have to get a different drink to enjoy it. Update : I ended up getting a sweet peach tea. Didn't taste any peach, only a lot of lemon, so I'm wondering if they accidentally gave me a tropical tea. read more

Apparently the head of the donkey doesn't know what the back half is doing. When the person helping customers says "we only have blueberry flavored coffee " and there are no other options you chose to either get blueberry flavored coffee or nothing. Those are the EXACT words that came out of his mouth. So now the head donkey wants to come off as a wise coffee snob. Calling what I received a hint of blueberry flavor is like calling my greatest fart a hint of human scent. Let's call a hint 1 and overpowering 10. It tasted like a 20 of artificial blueberry. A top notch SoCal roaster, this newer branch was the perfect stop for a coffee break. The staff here were clearly super enthusiastic as I learned way more about the gesha varietal than I could've imagined. My single origin pour over was delightful and it was great to see so many of their roasts available via this preparation. Plenty of seating indoors and a large outdoor patio available for those who want to settle in and relax a while here. read more

Coffee is great but my partner and I felt super unwelcomed upon first walking in. We were not greeted and hosted at all. Not sure if they treat all their customers like this. Baristas were also super loud and obnoxious, and I found it hard to focus with them laughing and chatting so loudly. Service definitley needs to improved. read more

Don't let their somewhat mainstream aesthetic fool you. Klatch has great coffee! I frequent the PCH location for the rotating pour over bar and to get some work done out of the house. Architecture and ambiance | Like I said, the design of the place feels somewhat corporate or mainstream. This location has good natural light, plenty of table and bar seating along with a few tables with umbrellas on the plaza. Coffee Beans | To start, Klatch roasts their own coffee, which you can buy at various price points. They always have something unique to try and the end product is always above average. Pour Over Bar | This is one of the few coffee shops that will give you at least 3 options for pour overs all day long. This is because they have a semi-automated machine that allows them to do five at a time. This means you get fresh ground coffee, freshly brewed in just about 3 minutes. They have the ready drip as well, but I always get the pour. The menu rotates constantly so you can try something you normally wouldn't get the chance to. Prices range from around 2.95-5.95 with the occasional rare find such as Geisha Coffee, which can be up to $15 a cup. You have to splurge every once and a while. They have a full espresso setup, which is solid too. Food | They have sandwiches, toasts and frittatas in addition to the typical muffins and bagels. I would typically go for their home made pop tarts with fruit filling. Parking and access | This location is on a busy corner of PCH and Torrance Blvd right next to the CVS. Parking is shared with the CVS just in the back. Service | Over the past few years I've been coming here, I've noticed they don't have much turnaround, which is hard to do in the coffee industry. You can tell they don't hire just anyone and the consistency has been nice. You can tell the manager cares about the business and it shows. read more

Klatch excels at everything it claims to be: a coffee shop for conversation. For starters, and most importantly, the coffee is second to none. Absolutely delicious and of the highest quality. The WBC Nitro Cold Brew on tap is not to be messed with given the caffeine buzz you'll get, but man is it rich and creamy. Last time I was in, I got the Pumpkin Cold Brew and the house-made, real pumpkin foam showed me what I'd always wanted all those other coffee shops to serve me when they'd instead up some adulterated iteration of pumpkin spiced garbage masquerading as a specialty beverage. NOT Klatch. There's remains the best pumpkin coffee concoction I've had. The interior of Klatch is bright and unlike a lot of coffee shops, there aren't any couches or low-riding chairs. I thought about knocking Klatch a star for this but then I remembered how both times I've been there, I've left my book unopened to talk to the friends and coworkers I came with. New coffee place. Great location just East of the Redondo Beach Pier. Located on the corner of PCH and Torrance Blvd next to CVS. I love coffee so I decided to try this place out. I ordered a regular Latte ($4) and it was really good. They have a dog friendly patio and a large interior area. They're limited with their outside seating . They do have free wifi. *The outside patio is right on the corner of a busy intersection so it may get loud. Great customer service! I had a great conversation with Robby who is very knowledgeable with coffees. This place has very friendly vibe. Next time I will have to try their panini it looks great. Coffee: Because I am an oh so typical millennial I had to order the lavender latte! I know I know, but it was so good! The size was decent for the $5.00. Some would say this is on the pricier side for a latte but I am not complaining. Aesthetics: I love the modern look of the shop. I am not sure why it gave me Amsterdam vibes but it did. They work hard and fast to determine your needs relating to drinks & food, then meet your needs. Secondly, their coffee is roasted FRESH in Rancho Cucamonga and delivered weekly to this store in Redondo. They put the roast date on each package, and very few other roasters do that. I was in redondo beach and went here because it was the closest coffee shop that had vanilla oat lattes that wasn't a huge chain like Starbucks. When I walked it and saw the barista awards I thought I was in for a treat! Sadly when I went on a Sunday morning, they were all out of oat milk! The barista suggested I try their home made cashew/almond milk instead so I did. I walked out with my drink and took a sip and HOLY SH*T that was rancid! Like literally! Tasted like gritty spoiled mold. I couldn't even taste the vanilla or espresso because it was so bad! It must of been a bad expired batch because there is no way that is how it is supposed to taste. Our first time trying Klatch and I was not let down! The first thing that I liked about this place was the location and the openness when you walk in. Lots of natural light, bring colors, and open areas that make you feel welcome. Generous selection of coffee and food, they even have a brunch menu! I opted for their WBC cold brew (award winning) and their blueberry muffin. Cold brew was pretty good, a bit floral for my taste but still decent! Muffin was great and tasted freshly baked, yum! From Northbound or Southbound PCH, turn eastbound onto Torrance Blvd and it's the first entrance immediately to your right. Signage directs you right into the CVS parking lot. This is very helpful. The several businesses in the past that occupied this spot were often overlooked. There is plenty of parking! I noticed after parking, my natural inclination is to walk towards CVS bevause Klatche's storefront only faces west. This is where additional signage would be beneficial. You need to cross the parking lot and the CVS drive-thru. I walked all the way around to the PCH street side. Tip: after parking, walk to the right of CVS, not the left. The coffee is unique. If you're as coffee connoisseur, you will appreciate the brewing processes to produce these unique flavors. (See pics) I simply like dark roast and my son wanted to try the ice cream shake which contained espresso but I had them remove it for him. The service was super chill and knowledgeable. They gave me other samples to try. What's nice is that they bake most of their pastries in-house. I would describe this cozy space as sunny, bright and inspirational. It looks like a great workspace, and I did see some people on their laptops but there was ample space here. Not sure about adding softer sofas. It seems to be more of a bright, productive work place rather than a place to just lounge. I would totally come here for coffee and maybe even a work meeting. There's a large conference-like table right in the center. As we walked out, my teenaged son mentioned to me that he liked it (the cafe and his shake). You gotta understand if a person still deciding what drinks to get or if that person look like they have not been to your coffee shop you should probably offer or asked if they need help. Klatch has a nice mellow vibe being in Redondo. The coffee had a great flavor to it. I'm not the best at describing coffee, and it wasn't too bitter for me. Location: Nice location in Redondo walking distance from the ocean. The People: People come to study and to hang out. The Drinks: I did not get coffee, but I did try their blueberry muffin, it was delicious. Work/Study: Good spot to study/work by yourself or with friends. It can be a bit noisy outside because of the vehicles driving, but you cannot beat the breeze one gets from the wind outdoors. Lots of indoor seating as well. The Venue: Somewhat instagram friendly, but it is worth coming. Extras: You got Wells Fargo and Chase banks if one needs to take cash out. Upshot: Good spot to study. Came here while waiting for a friend to get off work, at first I really just wanted a Green Tea so I ordered their Green Jasmine and it was DELICIOUS. Fresh and hot tasty tea, sweetener unnecessary. As I spoke a little to Matt, the really cool employee who works behind the bar, I asked about their best drink and it happened to be my favorite a Matcha and not just any but a Blueberry matcha. Honestly so delicious, I ordered it with Oat milk and it was the perfect drink. Sweet and creamy topped with matcha flakes. Definitely a must try from them. Also this spot is cute & work friendly. A great addition to the South Bay. Great coffee and great service! Klatch has taken over Chronic Tacos at the corner of Torrance and PCH. It is at a tough spot to get into as traffic at that corner can be pretty packed sometimes. Lots of parking spots available in the back. I've tried just the regular drip, ethiopian pour over, cold brew, WBC nitro, capp on tap and were all good. The Ethiopian is probably my favorite. The pour over was very crisp and clean. The drip was good too. I think the capp on tap and the WBC nitro cold brew were a bit too acidic for me. The baristas were really friendly and let my fiance and I taste test the cold brews before choosing one. Lots of seating available to get work done. As for outlets, it seems like it'd be limited to a few tables along the walls so bring your electronics fully charged in case. It's pretty quiet inside too so I'd recommend coming here to get some work done. read more

Wonderful. Marvelous. Special. Extra! All of these words and more would be what I would use to describe this excellent Coffee Shop that I discovered in Redondo Beach. I had never heard of Klatch but the name and kitschy lettering and mid century colors attracted me, so I got my normal, a hot Cappuccino with whole milk. This is my drink of choice to test out a new coffee shop. Kind of how a French chef will ask a new chef to make a simple omelette. It shows what the barista is able to do, what the skill level is, since there is no hiding behind chocolate, or sugary syrup, or beads or what have you. I did get it as a decaf because it was late in the day, which is not perfectly traditional, I warrant. But wow! Such a coffee! Easily one of the best cappuccinos I've ever had, and I have traveled twice as a foodie to Italy. Warm, full-bodied, gentle and smooth, but not bland, with optimal proportion of coffee to foam. Nothing Chi-Chi, just good. Well-done. So well done, I wanted to invite the young barista to return with me to Vegas with the machine. He was gracious in declining to do so. That's the other thing about this place. The workers are super fun, courteous, and knowledgeable. They are folks you'd like to invite out for a beer or to your birthday party. No snark or smugness typical of today's specialty coffee shop. Just kind and decent. I will be asking this owner to consider how nice it would be to hang out a shingle in the desert. read more
