That being said, I don't know if the actual price from competitors would have been higher than their quotes. For transparency here, I paid a $65 service fee plus $55 per house lock. The mailbox was a higher charge at $125. I was quoted $200-300 (probably assuming 3 locks rather than the 4 I ended up needing); it came out to about $410 plus tax. The result is the same. Months ago, the door's striker plate began hitting against the door's striker in such a way not to allow the latch to retract. Thus, the door would not close properly and banged against the door upon closing every time. I finally got around to taking a look at it and the installation was incredibly unprofessional. The striker was being held by two garbage metal pieces instead of a normal strike plate deadlatch. There is no excuse for this. I then called Ben, the owner/manager, and that was a condescending speech asking me why I waited so long to tell him. Bottom line and I'm sorry to say this, but I won't be going back and neither should you. I'm updating my review because I just spoke with the owner. Contacted the business and explained the problem. I went to the store to show the key. Their explanation was I was "abusing" the use of my keys. At first they offered to replace the key by offering me a $50 discount. Or waiting until whenever they need to order whatever it takes for them to "fix" a defective item from them. I work nights and rely on my door to be unlocked by the time I get in the car. To accuse me, a customer, of "abusing" a remote key is totally passing off the problem on the customer! I just want to have this problem resolved and the owner rectify and take pride in their business to the community by resolving this defective key because I "abuse" the use of it.
