Everything here is wonderful. I've eaten many things on the menu and all are truly delicious. The ribs are fall off the bone amazing and the pork chop is so juicy and tender and HUGE. Even the salads are full of flavor and too big for me. And I haven't even mentioned all the wonderful breakfast choices they have. Breakfast may be better than dinner. It's hard to decide. I can't believe any one could give them a negative review unless they are the competition or just a sour person. Now they have a full bar also!!! Hopefully the wine menu increases with the new bar. We have been here multiple times and we will continue to go! It's the best restaurant in the area. We are always pleased. The service is always the best and the food is always delicious. So far our favorite is the chicken fried steak (such a large portion!) Our children get the grilled cheese with fresh fruit, it's great! We love the freshness of food this restaurant always has. Are here after a dance competition today and it was AMAZING. Ordered the southwest omelette that was divine, chicken and waffles were juicy and breading was perfect, pancake was moist and fluffy and French toast was delectable. Came here with my boyfriend and two kids two nights ago. The hostess/waiter was young, but super respectful and kind. (Sometimes you go to restaurants with younger employees and it shows, I really couldn't tell) The food was great! I had the chicken fried steak along with the cilantro rice and sweet potato fries and let me tell you, I loved that I had enough left over to take home a whole meal cause I wanted more the next night and there it was in my fridge. Everything was a little different than the normal but in such a good way! I have been craving more of that cilantro rice! One of my kids got the grilled cheese and I have to say I was a little jealous and I had to try a bite and it was so yummy! (A little big for a kiddos mouth, but yummy none-the-less.) We've eaten here a couple of times and enjoyed it. The chicken Alfredo was delicious the first time so I ordered it again for lunch today. The Alfredo sauce was so loaded with garlic it was visibly chunky. Not at all sure why an Alfredo sauce would require that much garlic. It really took away from the overall enjoyment of the dish. Great Lunch spot!! Going in to KT, I didn't expect much. Building isn't eye catching but never judge a book by its cover is the true kitchen tale here. Talk about wow! All of our meals were amazing!! I was blown away by everything! Service was great! The gentleman greeted us quickly and kept our drinks filled and checked up on our table just the right amount of times. I had the cilantro pesto dressing chicken salad, and it was amazing! I loved it so much, I made my own for my meals at home. OMG! First time we came we had chicken fried chicken and chicken fried steak. The batter is amazing. As is the white gravy. Roasted veggies are excellent. Today we both had the lamb shank. It fell off of the bone. Owner came around and told us they cook the lamb for 48 hours. I know I'm skipping around-but the jalapeño poppers are excellent. I highly recommend them! David said the onion soup was good, too. We shouldn't have looked at the dessert menu - because we were stuffed. But once we saw the pecan cobbler we couldn't resist. We split it. It was warm and topped with vanilla ice cream. An absolute MUST! read more

After trying to go to another place to eat and finding it closed we found this place on Yelp. The atmosphere is nice and we were seated right away. We had the fried pickles as an appetizer and they were great! All four of us enjoyed them. The meals were also tasty. I had the shrimp and grits lunch special, my father had the Cornish hen lunch special, my aunt had the chicken fettuccine, and my niece had the children's chicken tenders. For dessert my niece and I shared the chocolate lava cake which was good, but nothing special. Overall we did enjoy our experience here. Our waitress was nice, but we had to have another server find her for us. Our service was a bit slower than the tables around us despite it not being very busy. That is the only reason for the 4 instead of the 5. read more

Ordered takeout for 4 people. The pork chop was loin, and was dry, tough, and flavorless. The fried entrees, on the other hand, were delicious and well-seasoned. The chicken fried steak was tender and crispy. The side order of roasted veggies was mostly onion, with some bell peppers and a single slice of zucchini. It was cooked well, but just WAY too much onion. The other sides were decent. We each splurged on a milkshake as well. Although we were told there was "2 scoops of Blue Bell" in each, all four of us agreed that not a single drop of ice cream made it to our cups, which was essentially flavored skim milk. These were not thick at all, and were as liquid as water, from the time we picked them up (and they weren't prepared until I picked up the order, so we know they were fresh). Very disappointing. We called to question if I've cream was forgotten, and were told, "what do you want us to do about it?" I guess the answer was that we want them to forget about us returning. Honestly, this food was mostly 3-stars, but the high prices for what we received, coupled with the curt dismissal of our complaint knocked it down a notch. There are simply too many better places around to waste our calories or money here again. read more

My husband and I love this place for breakfast and have tried everything on the menu thus far breakfast-wise. Nothing has disappointed. My favorite meal here is the shrimp and grits although with the house salad. We take family and friends visiting from out of town here. We understand new establishments need time to work out some kinks but this place will not be getting a 2nd chance. $60 for lunch for 2 adults & 2 children who ordered off the kid's menu. Best thing about the avocado bites is the dipping sauce. Ckn buffalo pasta was awful & the Ckn or should I say, "what ckn" had no substance & was basically all breading & no meat. The burger I ordered was actually tasty but small. The kid's grilled cheeses looked really good but were hard literally because the inside of the bread was burned. The fries were yesterday's fries & we sent one order back & exchanged for sweet potatoes fries & they were atleast fresh but could tell they were frozen. To top it all off, we were charged for regular meals (even though we specifically went over it with the waitress prior to ordering) in place of the kid's meals they did correct & provided a new receipt but then once the charges cleared it was nearly $17 more (total rounded to $70) than what we signed for. Needless to say, if you don't want to throw your $$$ in the garbage, stand clear of this place! Bad service, poor management & poor quality overpriced food! read more

Very unassuming, located in a strip mall. But, the decor was comfortable and the food was really really good! We started with the texas caprese and it was soo good. Tomatos topped with melted mozzarella and fresh bacon crumbles. I couldn't get enough. The family enjoyed all of their entree's. The blueberry duck and pot roast were fresh and cooked perfectly. I had the lamb shanks with mint pesto. OMG it was absolutely fabulous. It was sous vis'd and fell off the bone. So tender and flavorful and when you add the mint pesto it gives it just the right freshness for your palate. If you're in the Conroe area and want a good place to eat I would definitely recommend Kitchen Tales. read more
