The rock I found in my Kung Pao chicken.
Ashley G.

The first time we ordered from here the delivery was 3 hours late. The 2nd time I found a rock the size of a pea in my Kung Pao chicken. I'll let you decide if it's worth the risk ‍.

Taste: great! Both the tofu green curry and the Buddha's delight were great. Good strong flavors, not too spicy for the curry, and fresh veggies. The rice was cooked perfectly. The veggie spring rolls were oily (typical) and delicious! Price: extremely reasonably priced per meal... although the total online was slightly less than what they charged me in person, and I did not receive a receipt. COVID Precautions: I felt safe picking up my food from here because the business seemed clean and they were adhering to guidelines. Staff: Friendly; not much interaction other than at the counter, because I ordered online through their website.

Ok I waited a long time to make a post on this restaurant so here is a somewhat deep dive. First the restaurant is always clean inside and out. The staff is either rude or indifferent never seeming to be happy or welcoming. I have tried a number of things off their menu. The orange chicken is always soggy and overly saturated in bottled tasting sauce. The beef and broccoli is ok. The broccoli is always fresh and crisp but I don't think they wash it well as it has had the small little worm like bugs a few times also to much loose gravy. The egg rolls are the standard ones you could get at any decent carryout except for the steak and cheese egg roll which is a bit salty but still pretty good. The best thing I have had on the menu is the Crispy Beef which is tossed in a delightful light sauce but the beef is usually cut so thin and fried that you can't really taste the meat. I've ask the workers what culture of cuisines they base their recipes off of and they told me they don't know. They also frequently OVER CHARGE you so check the menu price. Today I had ordered black bean sauce and I was served general tso sauce. After bringing it back they told me that this was in fact Black bean sauce I will post a picture of what i wanted and what i got. Overall ok if you're desperate or don't feel like driving 30 minutes for decent carryout.

Found this place on accident when I attempted to buy wings next door. I've been here twice now. The girl behind the counter was friendly. I was surprised to see they had wings there as well so I got those along with sesame chicken and steamed dumplings the first time. Everything was tasty. The wings were fried in breading and the full wing vs buffalo style. My second visit was for soup. I got the wonton soup and chicken and crispy rice soup to go. I don't recommend the crispy rice soup - at least not to go - as it wasn't crispy and the broth was gelatinous. I ended up straining the broth out and using the broth from wonton soup for the chicken and veggies and rice which was better. The wonton soup and broth were very good. This place is a convenient stop for my ride home from work - and they are fast to prepare food. I will likely become a regular when in the mood for Chinese or Thai (I need to try their Thai selections).

My niece and I went and order each a shrimp broccoli. We got home and was so hungry we didn't bother checking out food, my nice then points out how her food has weird things in it. We started checking and find a bunch of worms in our food it was the most disgusting thing ever. We my back right away and the lady antes to give me another order, I told her to give me my money back. They had me there for 30 minute pretended to give my money back, till today I have not received anything yet and it's been about two weeks. DONT VISIT THIS PLACE!!!!!

There's not many places to order take out in upper Marlboro and not a lot of variety. I've been going here for 10 years and never once had anything but friendly service. It's a very quick interaction. My food has always been ready when I get there and always hot and stays hot while I drive 20 minutes home. I don't even need to warm it up when I get home. This is your typical Chinese take out restaurant. Not a gourmet restaurant. This restaurant has the best egg rolls around , in my opinion. Always crispy and cooked all the way. Never soggy

SERVICE WAS EXPERIENCED AND LOVELY. My only complaint is that the food is too salty which we Amerikuns expect and love as our blood vessel linings get damaged. blood pressures rise, and congestive heart failure flares. But we are so used to it that high-salt tastes normal and so we shake on some more! Guilty, as I charge! But even to me, it tasted salty. Great place to lunch or dine. Have not tried breakfast yet--need to check that out, assume it's there!

However, from the start, the service felt disorganized. There was confusion at the front with seating, and guests were being moved around while staff seemed to be sorting out table assignments in real time, which came off a bit unprofessional. After being seated, we waited about 10-12 minutes before being acknowledged by our server. During that time, service already felt slow across the board, as even nearby tables were experiencing delays. When our server (a lighter-skinned woman with twists pulled back into a ponytail) came over, we were told several menu items were unavailable after we had already attempted to order them, including drinks and fresh fruit that were still listed on the menu. As someone who has worked as a server before, I feel communication like this should be handled before service even begins. Items that are 86'd should be communicated during pre-shift meetings and clearly shared with guests upon greeting the table so they can make informed choices upfront. It helps avoid frustration and gives guests alternatives before ordering. Our food also came out not hot at all--it honestly felt like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a while and was not up to standard. Overall service remained inconsistent, with limited check-ins and needing to flag staff multiple times. While the bus staff was friendly and helpful, the overall experience fell short in organization, communication, and quality, especially for a first visit.

4.5 stars. I cannot…read moreoverstate how friendly the staff here is. Very welcoming, very patient, very kind. Set a really great tone for my visit. There are surprising number of chicken options here for a place called, "This Is Seafood", but not quite as many seafood options as I hoped. I was really looking forward to getting an order of fried scallops for lunch and I was a little disappointed they didn't have them on the menu. I decided to get the Combo #4: 3 whole wings, 6 fried shrimp, and my choice of 1 piece of fish and side dish. For my fish, I chose fried catfish and for my side I chose hush puppies. The combo also came with a fountain drink. I decided to mix their house-made lemonade and house-made iced tea and it made the perfect half-and-half. The wait wasn't too bad, as the food was being freshly made. It was piping hot and crispy when I received it. Those shrimp were huge! Some of the biggest fried shrimp I've ever had...And not those butterfly shrimp either. Whole shrimp, and the tail was removed so I didn't have to worry about accidentally crunching on one of the shells. The catfish was delectable! Perfectly seasoned, delightfully crispy, and absolutely melted in my mouth. So good. I'm coming back for the catfish if nothing else. The wings were perfectly fried, nice and crispy, but they were a bit too light on the seasoning for my taste. And the mumbo sauce tasted too similar to barbecue sauce. I did not like that, so I ended up saving the rest of the wings until I got home to put my own mumbo sauce on them. The hush puppies were also really good. I like that they were fried perfectly and weren't greasy... Even after reheating them. Overall, my lunch cost me about $25 and it was enough food for at least two meals. Can't beat that. I'll be back for that catfish.
