They give you complimentary beignets when you eat in and they were delicious. Soft, fluffy and just enough powdered sugar. As an appetizer, we ordered the mambo soul wings. They were cooked just right and the mambo sauce was sweet but I liked it. My son had the Berry Smash Mocktail. I did not try it,but the presentation was nice and he said it was very good. He is a picky eater, so he ordered the combination fried rice with just chicken and beef. Large serving size, he took it home and finished it for dinner and lunch the next day. My husband had the combination Broccoli with steak and chicken. He really liked it. I had the orange chicken. Just okay. It was a little too mushy for me. Before this was Soul Wok I ate here all the time as a kid. So when I saw Soul Wok in its place, I wanted to try. Sooooo happy I did! The food was DELICIOUS and huge portions. Our serve offered great suggestions and we tried what she recommended, safe to say she did NOT disappoint. Came here for lunch and we were pleased with the service, portions, price and ambiance. There was no wait when we got there and our server was Christian. Christian was extremely attentive, knowledgeable about the menu and very polite. He provided recommendations and ensured throughout the visit that we were taken care of. The portions compared to the amount of food you get is amazing. I was able to stretch my entree out for two more servings. We ordered the dragon & phoenix which was good, I just wanted a tad bit more flavor. The second dish was a spicy shrimp dish that is not on the menu but was recommended by our server. This place is such a hidden Gem, in a parking lot strip plaza that is The epitome of don't judge a book by its cover. The decor is nice, simple and cool vibe. I was happy to learn that I could order via UberEats from SoulWok. I enjoyed my in-store dining experience and it helped shaped my delivery order. I've been saying to try this place for soooo long. Went on a Saturday and planned to dine in but the air conditioning was broken :( I ordered the honey garlic chicken with fried rice instead of white rice. The entree was seasoned very well and battered perfectly. The owner confirmed that all chicken dishes use white meat only, which is a plus for me. The fried was rice was just okay, but there was tons of it. I ate of off one container for at least three days. I sampled the monster steak and cheese egg roll and it was delicious! The egg roll is like a meal by itself; skin was crispy and egg roll stuffed will all the goodness on a shrimp egg roll 7/10. The Soulwok wings were hot, fresh, and flavorful! The sauce was sweet and savory, and crispy 9/10. The Singapore noodles was a large portion, flavorful, and good 7/10. I visited this restaurant for the first time and ordered the combination lo mein without onions, along with chicken wings for carryout. I placed my order close to closing time, around 8:30 p.m. When I got home, the chicken was extremely dry and hard. I contacted the restaurant about my experience. The next day, I decided to give them another chance and went back for a replacement. This time, I ordered a chicken dish with shrimp, but unfortunately, the chicken was just as bad--dry, tough, the texture was off and honestly unpleasant. I'm not sure how the chicken is prepared, but based on both experiences, it was not good at all. The General Tso's chicken is so on point, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with great flavor. The fried rice was flavorful as well. We also received a basket of the donuts which were good too. Overall, this visit was much better than expected. I know to be cautious about places that get a lot of reviews on social media, but I must say that this meant the hype. My son took me here for my birthday. There was no wait and the staff was very welcoming. The warm lemon scented hand cloths they give when you are seated are a nice touch, as are the beignets. As I waited in the parking lot for my sister friend so we could walk in together, I kept noticing the door constantly opening and closing with guests coming and going, And Uber eats orders being fulfilled. visited soul wok on Sunday 09/13/2026 and very disappointed with the food i ordered General Tso chicken and hubby ordered Orange Chicken. chicken was not white meat and had some type of course stringy texture throughout which were crunchy. called and spoke with Trayvon who is supposed to be manager and informed him and all was offered was free food when I returned. well that meal cost 46.00 and there will be no return. I just asked for a refund as we didn't eat the meal and there closed on Mondays we didn't eat that mess we stored it in the frig to return it on there next day open will never return to that establishment. You try to support these Black businesses but it becomes impossible so much for eating out especially at SOUL WOK! read more
