The parking was so packed because everyone was inside of Soul Wok! I decided to give them a try. The inside was clean. The wait was an hour because of the long line, however, I was patient waiting in the car. The staff were very kind with the dinner Rush crowd. I do feel like the food was worth the wait. We got a few dishes and each one of them were tasty. They had sizable amounts for my family dinner.

Tasted even better the next day cold. I ordered the sweet chili wings to go. Huge pieces, I'll probably have them for a few days.

Second visit ... most def NOT my last. Had to return so the hubby could sample some of the goodness I've already sampled. This trip was for the wok and mambo wings, steak/cheese and shrimp/cabbage rolls and the lo mein. I LOVE everything I've ordered from here. Wish I could afford to come weekly. This order was $60 ... not sustainable on a regular for me, but soooo worth it this time! Also got a half-n-half for hubby. Just like me, he LOVED e'rything; but favored the shrimp/cabbage roll and the wok sauce wings. This trip was on a Thursday afternoon and you can tell they were already pumping by the number of carryout orders (in super cute thermal bags, btw) waiting to be picked up. GOOD FOR THEM!!!! PLEASE treat yourself, tell them you saw it in Yelp and share YOUR opinion.

Soul Wok is a tasty delight and the perfect spot for lunch. We stopped by on a Saturday hungry and ready, so we ordered several items from the menu and every choice was a hit thanks to spot-on recommendations from our server, Christian. The restaurant is small but constantly buzzing with takeout orders and guests dining in, which only adds to the energy. Don't be surprised if you strike up a conversation with other patrons while you wait good food brings good people together. If you're in the District Heights area, Soul Wok is a must-try.

The entrees were a nice size and I could have used a little more broth in my wonton soup. I had to have them remake it since the white pepper made it too spicy for me. They also have lunch specials but they are only for carry out and there were a lot of people getting meals to go. Will definitely go back and try the carry out since it's cheaper than the menu items.

I drove 45 minutes to get here and try the famous cheesesteak egg roll I seen on tic tok . I had gotten there right when it had open, so the place was empty and quiet. However, several minutes later that lunch rush definitely came in . overall I had a good experience. The eggroll was definitely worth the drive. The shrimp fried rice in the Singapore noodles were good too, but the egg roll was the best.

First time here at the restaurant. I was greeted and the host was was pleasant. Custom service was absolutely outstanding at this place. The food was delicious. I really like the vibe of this place next time I will dine in. My only complaint about this place is I ordered online it said my order was ready but when I got there I ended up having to wait a extra 36 minutes. That was absolutely unacceptable. They probably need to figure out how to get them orders up a little faster.

This was my second time ordering from Soul Wok. The first time, everything we ordered was perfect, so I was looking forward to ordering again. Unfortunately, this afternoon was not a good experience. We ordered two steak & cheese egg rolls, and both were extremely greasy, burnt, and hard. Please see the picture attached. I understand restaurants get busy, but the quality tonight was very disappointing. I also ordered the donuts, and they were missing the strawberry puree. Food prices are too high these days to end up throwing food away, which is what we had to do with the egg rolls. I'm hoping this was just an off day because our first experience was great.

I love this place! We went tonight and both the meal and the service were excellent. Zion was our waiter, and he was fantastic--very attentive and communicative throughout the entire meal. He even asked if we wanted our condiments before the food came out, which was such a thoughtful touch. We ordered the giant shrimp egg roll, shrimp and broccoli, General Tso's chicken, and a virgin mojito. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious! The shrimp egg roll could use a little more shrimp, but overall everything was perfect--and affordable!

This is a delicious matrimony of southern comfort food and Chinese food. The cheesesteak egg roll was ginormous, delicious, and crispy. You'll love the dipping Yum Yum sauce. They could added a tad bit more cheese tbh but nevertheless still exquisite. The appetizing Dragon and Phoenix entree is a culinary masterpiece. The spicy shrimp awakened my taste buds and General Tso chicken put me at ease. The portion are hearty and generous. Ensure self care by introducing your pallette to sweet donuts. It's always appropriate to eat sweet before savory. Soul Wok is a hidden gem

I really wanted to love Soul Wok -- been rooting for them since they opened! They started things off nicely with complimentary beignets, which was a sweet touch. I ordered the Dragon & Phoenix with fried rice and the Monster Shrimp Egg Roll. It took a while before anyone came over -- I sat for a bit before the hostess noticed and took my order. Then my food came out wrong (orange chicken + steak & cheese egg roll), but they let me keep it and still brought my correct dishes to-go, which I appreciated. The shrimp had a weird ammonia taste, which threw me off, but thankfully I didn't get sick. Service was kind despite the mix-ups. Not sure if I'll be back just yet, but I'm still wishing them the best -- the concept has potential, they just need a little fine-tuning.

Everything that we had tasted great! We decided to dine in on a weekday. They were quite busy and there was a wait. Our server eventually got to us and apologized for the extended wait and made sure that our experience was one point from then on. We started with warm hands towels that were infused with essential oil. That was an unexpected touch. We received our drinks, I tried the half-and-half, and it was great the first time, but the new batch refill wasn't that good. For our entrées, I had the Dragon & Phoenix, with a side of fried rice. The other entrée was the Singapore noodles without beef or shrimp. She thoroughly enjoyed the Singapore noodles, and I loved them as well. I think I liked that entrée more than mine, but I wasn't in the mood for that item. The Dragon & Phoenix is very tasty, but the shrimp and broccoli was a bit too saucy for me. The General Tso's chicken is so on point, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with great flavor. The fried rice was flavorful as well. We also received a basket of the donuts which were good too. Overall, this visit was much better than expected. I know to be cautious about places that get a lot of reviews on social media, but I must say that this meant the hype. The interior is like a standard no-frills carry out, but I see that they tried to have a few touches to make it a bit more upscale with the table lighting and hand towels, etc.. I highly recommend a visit and look forward to coming back for the Singapore noodles with the combination proteins. Also, their carry out bags are very durable and reusable.

My ZIP Code was finally added to the delivery area and I am so glad that I finally got to order…read morefrom this spot because I have wanted to try their food for the longest time. There are certain ZIP Codes that they are able to deliver to all the time but they've been rotating the other ZIP Codes in the area so that they can expand their clientele and it was finally my turn. Lol. This place is a delivery based business so I can't comment on the ambience of the location as the only way to get to food is to order delivery via their Square site which is pretty straightforward. The delivery driver was very nice and she called prior to arrival to give me a heads up as I ordered early in the day and my delivery estimate was between 645 and 715. She arrived right on time. Now to the food. I ordered six wings with a side of fries, the general Moe's chicken combo with some fried rice, and to Palmer Parks, which is their play on an Arnold Palmer. The chicken wings were well seasoned and extra crispy. They come with their own version of Mumbo Sauce, which is spicy and has a pineapple base which is pretty good. It comes with crispy crinkle fries, which were good. I ordered the spicy general Moe's chicken which had a nice kick to it, was very flavorful, and moist. The shrimp fried rice was good and reminded me of your standard carry out shrimp rice. The combo came with an eggroll that I did not get to try as I wasn't sure if there was pork in it or not and I don't eat pork so I gave it to my brother. The Palmer park was a good half and half and I think my only complaint about it is that I could taste that they had used the bottled lemon juice with an extra sweet tea instead of lemonade, so it had that bottled lemon juice taste , but it was otherwise solid. All in all, when my ZIP Code comes around in the delivery pool again, I'll definitely be ordering food from them again and look forward to seeing the other selections, but they come up with as their menu expands.

Everything changed once I had the actual food while she was still nice. The food was not. I ordered something I thought was fairly simple sesame chicken with white rice and two spring rolls, when I took the spring rolls out of the package they smelled kind of like old grease but do you know Daniel grease? It's around a while usually not that big of a deal it was that big of a deal. It's very hard to get any kind of sauces even if you asked for a lot and offered to pay for more yeah you're getting one or two the sesame chicken was the oldest driest chicken I have ever had it tasted old, those two packages of soy sauce was not enough to even make a dent in how dry it was and Hard it was an edible so I drove all the way back here. Do you have the same woman who was as nice as I guess she could be laugh at me, would I recommend here never not for anything not even to come in out of the rain. ANYTHING would be better that what I was sold. While people were in the store she states I only had a couple of pieces of chicken however when I was insisting the food was not edible when she counted it. There were six pieces. Well I tried chewing on three pieces. The first and second I thought maybe was just a mistake by third I knew for sure it was all bad, old dry hard. I had already thrown both spring rolls out as there were oil grease smelling and chewy the package of duck sauce did little to help them maybe more duck sauce could have improved the taste however the texture would have still been an issue. It could simply be because I am white I was given the food that was slated to be thrown out. This place in a very minimal percentage of caucasians. Regardless the reason even thought I had to be laughed at and insulted, oh and I should mention that I was refunded $3 well I did attempt to chew 3 pieces and I had thrown out the spring rolls, I did not bring those up. You should know I was not asking for a refund, I was attempting to express how horrible the food was. The $2 plus her reluctant additional dollar was not worth the effort.
