    Mushroom sandwich

Ambiance is great, lots of nice music . Parking is awful, it was a challenge to find a spot a couple of blocks away. We had the mushroom sandwich and a breakfast sandwich. Both were good. The breakfast sandwich came out several minutes after the mushroom sandwich which I find a little irritating. Also they were out of bread at noon. I heard that you have to early to make sure they still had bread but it seems odd when they run out at noon when they are open to 3. Overall, a high score for the food but knocked down a little they didn't have bread.

Fotos say it all but wait .... Wifey and me came in and we ordered a Green Tea Latte and Almond Latte... Coffee was bomb af... Wifey didn't realize to say "Matcha" Green Tea for that thicker semi sweet creamy feeling she's always used to... Lady at the counter made us a new one no questions asked... wow Nice people here... This was my first time stopping by this bakery! Truly life change delicious coffee cake I highly suggest you trying. I was bummed the barista said their espresso machine was still broken. I hadn't seen any posts about it or anything and drove 40 mins to try some new goodies from this place but I still grabbed some drip coffee and it was really good too. Hoping to stop by again soon for more treats! Very cute and cozy decor inside the bakery and seating available inside

The cutest little bakery with lots of sweet AND savory options. A lot of snacks available, too. Friendly service. Can order online. Calm and sweet place. Highly recommend it. Metered street parking in the front from 8am

Came here for a quick bite and coffee. I got the cashew spread on an everything bagel and some coffee. I thought everything was decent. I would come back again if I was in the area. Overall is a 7/10. The spread was the consistency and taste of a tzatziki sauce, strong yogurt and dill flavors. They also got an interesting menu, so if I was to come back here, I would try one of the items on their extensive menu.

Proof of purchase, because nobody would believe me.

Ridiculous prices. $9.30 for pudding. Bill Cosby would be rolling in his grave if he were dead. I thought the previous place had high prices (Mr. Holmes) but at least their pastries were unique.

Kitchen Mouse has expanded, taking over the old Mr. Holmes Bakeshop space. If you're familiar with Kitchen Mouse, you'll see a lot of the same items you used to find around the corner but moved to this new, bigger space. Most of their baked goods are vegan and gluten-free. And they actually taste good! Love their millet bread. Choose from cookies, cupcakes, bagels, foccacia, baguettes, croissants, monkey bread, muffins, and more. A few items had gluten. In addition to baked goods, they have a full espresso bar, soups, and grab & go prepared entrees and salads like mac & cheese, lasagna, and risotto. You can also pick up cute greeting cards and small gifts like enamelware mugs and bowls, candles, etc. * Mini vanilla cupcake ($2.75): A two-biter, the cake part tasted as good as a regular gluten cupcake. The frosting was pretty sweet and there was too much of it. * Lemon poppyseed mini cookie ($2): Dense, moist, chewy with lots going on - coconut, nuts, poppyseeds. Reminded me of a lemon poppyseed muffin only it tasted healthier. * Plain bagel ($3): If these are gluten-free, they're the best gf bagels I've tried. They were soft and when toasted, had a nice crisp exterior and chewiness. Oh, I found out they're not gluten-free. The signs could be clearer about what's vegan and gluten-free and what's not. I used to think everything they offered was gluten-free, so I was surprised to see some baked goods made with gluten. It seems like only the items with gluten are labeled - should we assume everything else is gluten-free and vegan? Update: One case has gluten-free items and the other case has items with gluten. Service was friendly. It's a lovely space.

Cute place for coffee and brunch. Pastries are vegan, I tried one of the croissants and it was really good. Food came out fast. They also have a restaurant around the corner but I prefer the bakery because of the soup and yummy pastries.

Our waiter was personable and took our order quickly as well as consistently replenished our drinking water. Everything was delicious and had its own unique flavor, from the chickpea fritters which had softness and crunchiness, the goat mousse with sweet and savory sauces and the crumpets and crackers; then the goat belly with a deliciously crisp skin and soft inside and intense flavor (but not gamey) with a rich sauce, the steak was yummy and precut, and the pork shank which was epic! I loved all the greens and pita to wrap the pork and goodies into! We ended with a bday scoop of mango sticky ice cream which was completely different than I've had before and yummy.

With things like goat curry and gluten free options, you gotta have rice. Second, they ran out of goat curry. I came all the way from San Diego to try it. Oh well. Excuse to come back. I loved every bite I tried. There was nothing that disappointed. The standouts were the green beans, the Brussels sprouts that came with the chicken, the pork shank and the tuna and crunchy quinoa salad. I'm still thinking of that crunchy quinoa. We had no room for dessert. So maybe next time we try the goat curry, get the quinoa salad again and get dessert! The service was great too. Attentive but not overbearing. It's a cute restaurant both inside and outside.

My wife and I stopped here a few weekends back for lunch and I was pleasantly surprised with just how much I enjoyed the food. The ambiance here is pretty generic, white and bright and very copy and paste of a lot of places popping up recently. The staff was super friendly while taking our orders and dropping the food off, which is always appreciated. I ended up ordering the Santo's Turkey Melt which is smoked turkey, grilled onions, Swiss cheese, and chipotle aioli served on sourdough with a side of french fries. The sandwich was really good and the same can be said for the french fries and I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of fries given, so thumbs up to that. Guests are encouraged to arrive early, not just for their reservation, but to wander through museum-quality exhibitions, browse the ARTBOOK store, or explore the thoughtfully curated outdoor spaces, complete with farm elements that directly inform the menu. Manuela's commitment to ingredient-driven cuisine is immediately evident. Each dish is composed with intention, showcasing a depth of flavor that reflects both technique and sourcing. We began with the honey cornbread skillet--warm, rustic, and satisfying, though I found myself wishing for a more generous glaze to fully deliver on its promise. To drink, we ordered the "Vesper," a James Bond-inspired martini. It was assertive and spirit-forward, yet balanced enough to remain refreshing--a confident execution of a classic profile. Keeping things simple, we opted for the chicken sandwich and the venison burger. Both were expertly prepared, highlighting the kitchen's ability to elevate familiar formats through quality ingredients and precise execution. It's worth noting that the menu is entirely à la carte, and while the sides come at a premium, the farm-to-table ethos helps justify the price point. Service was another standout. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and refreshingly candid--guiding us through the menu with thoughtful recommendations and transparency. Manuela delivers more than just a meal; it offers a layered experience where food, art, and environment intersect. While not without minor critiques, it remains a compelling choice for those seeking a refined yet grounded dining experience in Downtown Los Angeles.
