The kitchen is the focal point, giving the house its inside character. Needless to say, we were very selective in deciding on a contractor that would listen to us and deliver a quality product. The owners of Envision, Doug and Pam, and kitchen designer, Crystal, were very personable, knowledgeable, detail oriented and realistic - helping us to weigh the trade-offs and keep costs within our budget. We were extremely focused on craftsmanship and, having been completely satisfied with our previous Conestoga kitchen, we were pleasantly surprised and pleased that they carried this brand. The design process went smoothly and efficiently, with Doug coming out to the house and taking detailed measurements and then the group working with us to figure out the optimal design. We were impressed as they valued our opinions and considered everything we threw at them with patience and thought. They were able to mix that with their experience and skill to deliver top quality kitchen in a very reasonable time. We appreciated their extreme professionalism, efficiency and thoroughness with no short cuts and no high-pressure sales. As we walked through the process piece by piece, they were able to come up with a design that satisfied every aspect that we had asked and have it delivered on schedule! This was by far the best experience we have ever had with any contractor. They met all our expectation and more! The second mistake we made was to bring our kids to your precious showroom (again, how dare we. But you know, our kids are 5 and 2 and leaving them home alone is frowned upon). Just to clarify, our kids did NOT ill behave in your store. They did not run, they did not scream, they did not act up or destroy anything. But the moment they dared to sit (!) on one of your showroom toilets, they were reprimanded (!) by the lady sitting at the desk in the back. Gave her the benefit of the doubt she may have merely been concerned over their safety. A few minutes later, however, she did it again because my daughter dared to touch (!) the rocks in the showroom sink. Really, lady? It's a showroom, not a museum. None of your stuff was at risk at any point. Trust me, I'm the parent and I will watch and correct my kids if I deem it necessary. This, however, was absolutely disrespectful behavior on your part. Lost our business and do NOT recommend Frank Webb in Binghamton, NY to anyone, especially if you have kids.

My experience would be unbelievable if it didn't happen. Seven years ago we bought new kitchen cabinets from Andy Foster. After one or two years of use, we experienced some lack of quality and I began calling the cabinet maker for some advice but never received an answer to my messages. I continued to call the cabinet supplier over the next several years with no satisfaction. Foster Kitchens designed and supplied the cabinets but didn't manufacture them, but Andy agreed that the quality should have been better. Since we dealt with Andy Foster, he made the problem go away, at his expense. We had three wood craftsmen working in our kitchen these past few days, one of which was Andy Foster, correcting someone else's poor workmanship. No matter whether a company is an IBM or a locally owned business, things don't always go 100% right. How those businesses correct the problems, is what makes the difference. I want everyone to know about the ethical business that Andy Foster of Foster Custom Kitchens is running in Ithaca. If you ever consider a new kitchen, Foster Custom Kitchens is the only place to go. I first went to showroom and then she came on site to look at the space and to take measurements, and a second time she came out with the contractor who will do the work to solidify plans. She created several renderings before deciding on a final layout which was sent to the contractor for final pricing. The cabinet and countertop selection is good and pricing is very competitive. She ordered in a natural stone sample of MIS backsplash not on hand and it came in a few days. She also suggested a product for wrapping structural support beams - Very excited about my kitchen project to begin this fall. So, more to follow...

Disappointed in the whole visit. Driving to nearby store and passed sign pointing to "Showroom"…read more Got out and walked around trying to find the entrance. Turns out sign was pointed in WRONG LOCATION across street and away from actual location. Not a good 1st impression. Called to find entrance and told sign must have been "turned around". No one paying attention to details? Inside woman I spoke to on phone was short, rude and didn't seem interested in setting up a "free estimate" or "free design". I was told have to take my own measurements, pick samples and give a"basic" idea of what I wanted first. After they would give me a " estimate" of probable Cost. If that was "acceptable" they'd setup up an in home estimate, design date. I got more enthusiastic service at Lowe's!
