The gentleman they sent up to help was absolutely talented and kind. But the owner, Jeremy, was not amenable to fixing the entire problem. He allowed the contractor a certain amount of time to work, but the original issue remains. I'm disappointed in how Jeremy handled a situation that should have been done correctly to begin with.

Of course, that doesn't include any plywood that may be needed, so by the end of the job the final cost was $26,000.00. So now the shingles are torn off and the project starts at around 10 AM A crew of none English speaking feverishly start the job. They continue working (men and women) until almost dark. The next day we got a good look at the final job and noticed the most horrible, unprofessional, uneven "Valley" one would could possible have. I contacted JSK and told them I wanted them to fix it. Jeremy Sager (owner) said that there was nothing wrong with it at first, but after a heated discussion, he said that it was our fault because the roof rafters at that location were sagging and it would cost us another $5,000. to remedy the problem. My question to him was, if they knew the roof rafters were sagging, then why not tell us before they covered them up. The whole experience with Jeremy Sager was very unsettling and his behavior was that of a very spoiled and undisciplined Child. This opinion of him has been shared by many professional businesses who know of him. Stay away from JKS Construction/roofing Co.

Supposedly he says he has "20 years of sheetrocking experience," but what he really means is he has 20 years of subcontracting experience to others. Most of the work that Erich did, he did in a shoddy way. The only saving grace, and the reason for a 1 star rating, is his workers were decent at their jobs at least. Took roughly a week of work to get my bathroom reno done. The project was simple: get my small, old barnboard and plaster and lathe bathroom up to date with drywall, 2x4 framing, fresh coat of paint, plumbing, tub/shower, and adding new vanities. The project was done in FEBRUARY OF 2025. First, the good parts: Bathroom looks much much better compared to what it started off as: a puke inducingly ugly thing, initially carpeted (which I took out immediately after purchasing the house), followed by scraping layers of rubber rotted carpet underlayment until the ugly plywood remained. The bathroom, after the renovation, now looks modern, clean, and the ceiling is much higher not having to have layer after layer of hackjob framing the previous owner of the house did. Erich's subs did...decent... work, although left much to be desired when it comes to proper finishing. Some drywall joints have visibly large amounts of mud, tape, and paint noticeable. Poor craftsmanship drywalling. The framing was done well at least, so I can do future bathroom renos myself. Last, but not least, a list of screwups off the top of my head that I can pin entirely on the business owner, Erich: The scope of work included adding fiberglass insulation within the walls of the newly framed bathroom--this was never done. Athough not required for inside walls, the scope and invoice pricing included this service. Of course, Erich pocketed the cost of insulation for himself after returning it to the store, rather than refund me for services not carried out, or even leaving the insulation so I could have used it later personally. Then, and this is quite embarassing, he struggled for a solid 45 minutes trying to install a toilet flange. I stand by what I stated: I would never hire you to replace a faucet in the future, let alone any sort of serious construction. Oh yes, he also failed to patch up a huge hole in the wall, which the scope of work included. I've attached a picture showing that, as well as I've labeled who worked on this project on the studs and the tub wall. (In the off chance I get dementia way down the line 40 years in the future, I'll know who did this sort of shoddy work, and not hire that company or their descendants). Finally, it is expected that you maintain a clean working environment. NO protection was used on my hardwood floors, including NO plastic sheets or cardboard sheets to prevent construction debris and dust from getting rubbed in. I had my roomba mop the room at least 3 dozen times before the hardwood got back to its starting shape. Plaster and lath dust gets EVERYWHERE. Oh, and the icing on the cake: Erich was supposed to have hauled away the construction waste after job completion. This was NEVER DONE. In fact, the contractor I hired for my roofing project did that. You should be ashamed of yourself, that ANOTHER contractor had to fix your screwups. My entire garage was FILLED with at least 40 construction bags of debris. All I got were excuses after excuses: oh my guy's wife is sick, oh my truck broke down, etc etc. Keep in mind, this is now AUGUST of 2025 and he still has yet to pick up his junky old vacuum cleaner which he left behind here ON TOP OF THE OTHER JUNK... BACK IN FEBRUARY! (And I just got to this review after so long because I had a whole slew of other projects going on this year--new metal roof, removing a chimney and fireplace, framing and drywalling my living room, etc, all done by another contractor who actually gives cares about proper worksmanship). TLDR: Stay clear of this guy. TERRIBLE business. By FAR the worst contractor I have ever used. See screenshots for more details.

He also installed new steps & deck into the unit. His work was as excellent, and he communicated everything he was doing thoroughly. He's a nice guy, too. And just when I thought it couldn't get better Willy and the crew showed up and got to work setting up heavy tarp to protect our landscaping before starting tear off. The cooperation of Shawn and the great drone pictures throughout the project was amazing. And they finalized the project with a sweep of the yard picking up every single screw/nail and left nothing behind. I was away on business during the project and with the steady flow of updates from Shawn he made me feel like I was there. In the end Shawn and Willy's crew did so great they made me want to buy another house just so I could hire them again. Now I'm driving around looking for houses with bad roofs for sale.

Then the beginning of June they showed up to my house at 7am with no call, no notice nothing. A guy was sitting in my driveway, didn't come knock on the door. Then exited his vehicle grabbed a ladder & put it on the side of my house right where my bedroom window is, where my wife was getting dressed for work. My wife was beyond upset, I called the office to explain to them what happened & all I got was we are sorry it won't happen again. obviously it won't happen again, you guys are gonna do the work & leave you won't be back. Then the Forman for the job texted me & said he was busy getting materials for the job & apologized for not communicating that his guys were showing up. But a phone call takes two seconds. if you had a minute to text me you could have called me to let me know your crew was showing up. Once the job was completed they sent the invoice immediately & it said I had 30 days to pay. I called the office to yet again explain how frustrated I am with my experience & how this is gonna reflect my bill. to no avail, I got "oh a company wide email was sent out to explain this can't happen". After all that I got called & texted 4 times each asking when I was gonna pay. Yet again I thought I had 30 days to pay. All in all invoice was paid & I will not do business with you again beyond unprofessional.
