Greg came to our home and gave us a very comprehensive estimate, and although he ran into unexpected issues behind the walls of the shower and also the existing sink he only charged us his original estimate. He offered several very helpful suggestions and also provided multiple options throughout the process. They were immaculate and courteous. If you are looking for a professional with integrity, I would strongly recommend Greg Pitcher. He also fixed an issue with my eave that had nothing to do with the remodel and never charged us for it. I have used Ross & Pitcher for installing a new roof on my house in Binghamton in summer of 2013. I am fairly handy and usually do my own work around the house, but replacing the entire roof is too big of a job to handle personally, so I turned to the professionals. Nick (the owner of the company) came on site to provide an estimate for the project. He's very knowledgeable about the details of the project, and gave me a good rundown of what needs to be done, step by step. As the project went along, he sent daily update emails (since I do not reside in that house), along with photographs that documented the progress! I feel assured and believe that he's very organized and well-planned on all aspects. The project finished in a timely manner and being a handy person myself, I can tell that the workmanship is excellent. He also provides warranty which guarantees his work. It is truly my pleasure to write this review for Nick Ross and Greg Pitcher. I contracted with them this past Feb. 2015 to do major renovations on my home in Binghamton, NY. I was taken back by the number of hours Mr. Ross spent educating me on the fundamentals of construction and everything that needed to be done to do a job right. When he gave me the estimate, I was surprised again when he said that the estimate I got was the bottom line and there would be no additional charges, even if they ran into things that required more expense, he said they stuck to their estimate and did not add additional charges unless I wanted something more. Well, to make a six week story short, they did an absolutely beautiful job and did run into additional things that had to be done, and they did it at no extra charge. They also ran on time with everything and Mr. Ross sent me an email every evening to let me know what had been accomplished that day and what the plans were for the next day. They had a big renovation to do in a short period of time at my home. It included a totally new kitchen, the renovation of a bathroom on the first floor, the addition of a totally new bathroom on the second floor, dry wall work, painting, new flooring for the entire first floor, and so much more. I had carpet installed on the second floor and they even supervised that work, even though it wasn't their job to do so since they do not install carpet. I'm telling you honestly, these guys are extra special and I told them that as far as I am concerned, they are my contractors for life. I still have additional work that I want done on the outside of the house and I'm just going to get an estimate from Nick and have them do the work. I have no need to ask for an estimate from anyone else because I know I will get a very fair price and I will never have to worry about the work they will do being anything more than excellent. I have worked with contractors several times before, and I can tell you that these guys were a dream team and very much an advocate for their client. There were things I thought I wanted and Nick was honest and said he would do it, but I probably wouldn't like it. Boy am I glad I listened to him because he saved me money even though it meant he would make less. Well, what can I say, they are my contractors for life and I will use them for everything related to construction around my home as long as they are in business. I am very pleased and everyone who saw my home before they did the work are absolutely amazed at how much they did for the price they charged and at such a high standard of workmanship and this comment came from two people who are involved in the construction trades.
