I meant to write this review sooner but got busy. I had been eyeing a solar stool for a few weeks and when it went on sale, along with a discount I had, I figured I would go ahead and make the purchase. I purchased what I thought was going to be a WHITE stool. I purchased online for an in store pick up. It was already in the bag when I picked it up so I didn't actually look at it until the next day. @Kirklands should be ashamed of themselves for selling this! I literally went back online to make sure no where in the description it read "distressed" or "off white". No, the picture and description was white. Well what I got looked old and dirty. I can't believe someone actually put that in a bag and sold it. Kirklands has no ability to support online sales. This is my 2nd attempt to purchase online with them, and this is the 2nd time they have no stores within 50 miles of where I live that has the product I want in stock AND they cannot ship one to me. I always enjoyed shopping and browsing at the Kirkland's stores back in the northeast. And so I was delighted to find this one here in Phoenix when I was looking around to shop for stuff for the new apartment I moved in. This store has the same high quality merchandise, good prices, and friendly staff that I had become familiar with years ago back in the east coast. If you just need to pick up satchets, candles or holiday decor, this is a great store to visit. Jury's out on online orders, but they personally never fail me when I need fragrance satchets for my bed linen. I visited today and the cashier was very kind. I ordered a dinning table and chairs which arrived in a beat up box and had a chunk of the table top missing. This began the most frustrating process I have ever experienced with an online order. I called and called and emailed. It has taken over a month to get a new table top which I opened today to find a big scratch across the top. Now I have to start the frustrating process again! The table is beautiful and I love it. I paid a lot for what has turned out to be a nightmare!! Customer service is horrible. If I can get this straightened out it will be a miracle. read more

Retailer is going down hill quickly. No longer can exchange or return clearance items. Also, limits on coupons and app doesn't work anymore. Their products you can get relatively cheap when they are on "special" sale but don't forget you get what you pay for. Products look pretty but they are not good quality. read more

I purchased a Expensive Furniture piece! The first shipment never arrived! I waited 2 weeks. The second showed up looking like the box was thrown off the truck as it was rolling! I didn't have high hopes of what I would find! And sure enough I had dents and broken pieces. This was the second try at this so I didn't have high hopes a 3rd try would be any better. I asked them to just let me fix this one and give me a large discount they said 15% was all they would do! Or a refund, but I have to box this large furniture back up and have it ready for shipment! Met the girls for drinks this weekend and we decided to brave the 115 degree heat to throw in some shopping. It could have been the heat, it could have been the excessive number of beers, but damn this place was way cool. The minute we walked in, it was clear that we had happened upon a shopper's sale nirvana! To start with, there was a little table set up by the front door loaded with lemonade and cookies for those looking for someplace to escape the heat. But then as your eye wandered around your attention was quickly pulled into every direction by "sales" signs. The girls and I did a once around the entire store, scoping out every nook and cranny, making mental note of what we wanted to pick up. This store is crammed full of the comfy home-touch stuff. From candles, sconces, vases, art, furniture, to kitchen foo-foos... you name it. Now granted some of it was a little kitchy for my taste, but the prices were rock bottom. And several of the girls were muttering about the perfect place to stock up that gift closest. The staff was friendly and helpful. They offered to take items up to the register so they didn't have to be hauled around and even offered to check in the back to look for additional items. If you are looking for a cool place to browse during the hot summer months head on up to Desert Ridge's Kirklands and spend a little coin. read more

Like another reviewer all ready mentioned this store isn't very big. But it is crammed full of stuff for your home. Prices are pretty darn cheap on most of the stuff. Most of the items tend to run on the 'dark' side of the color spectrum I noticed. If you're looking for brightly colored stuff I don't think you'll find much. It's mostly dark browns, ambers, and dark heavy wood orientated. That being mentioned I did buy a cool table-top votive candle garden, a great looking potpourri jar, a nightlight, and a new rug for my doorway. Make sure to look at every display and every corner. It is small....but there really is a lot to look at. And prices can't be beat either. read more

I never knew what this store was, but I ventured in the other day and I am sad I went all these years with out going in! Kirkland is a home decor store with fun and classy decor at really great prices. When I went they were having a huge sale, and I couldn't believe all the awesome stuff they had for so cheap! The store isn't very big and their main focus seems to be stuff to put on walls. Pictures, frames, large clocks, and mirrors. They also had a lot of candles, fake plants, garden accessories. After a week of trying to get it sorted out with corporate (multiple people not knowing what the issue was, or not calling me back when they said they would), I still haven't received my item. The only reason I give this store a 4 over a 5 is the horribly pungent and overpowering smell or roses/incense (or whatever) that oozes out of this store when the door opens. It covers you and seeps in your nostrils and brain and covers your clothes. And when you leave, you reek of their smell. Now, I love smelly candles and lotions, but this is overkill to the max. So assuming you are willing to knowingly walk into a migraine-inducing environment, you'll find really nice and affordable home decor items from art to pillows to candles to chalkboard signs. It's a charming chain of stores loaded with knick knacks, paintings, small furniture, lamps, throws, and holiday decor and the prices are really affordable. The staff at this store is very pleasant and helpful. They were quick to assist us with a lamp from the top shelf on one side of the store while another clerk was graciously assisting a young couple who broke a glass dish and cleaning up the mess while not making them feel bad about it. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service. I ordered a table in August and kept calling and emailing to see when it would come in. I was told another 5 buisness days, 10 buisness days, another 12-15 buisness days, over and over. People would just stop replying to my emails as well. Finally, someone gave me the option to cancel my order. It was infuriating. No one knew anything about my order and no one cared to make it right. I will NEVER shop here for the rest of my life. It should not take until November to get a table that should have been delivered the first week of September, then the 2nd week of September, then in October... etc. you get the point. I ordered a super cute candle lantern online because of Covid I wasn't venturing out. So the lantern arrived and I know before I even opened it that there was a problem. The lantern did not have any packing material and the glass had come off. It was a decor item so I didn't expect it to be super well made but I did expect it to have cushioning materials in the box. When I returned it to the store (there was a woman in the store not properly wearing a mask) they said sorry we don't refund shipping. And their shipping charges of $9.00 are outrageous! I don't recommend ordering online from Kirkland and beware going into a store because they don't enforce the mask policy. Boo Kirkland! read more

I purchased a wall clock in store, but unfortunately it stopped ticking. I changed the batteries out multiple times with different brands of batteries but nothing worked. I called customer service to exchange the product for a clock that wasn't defective but customer service refused to help. This wasn't consumer error (it just hung on the wall, there's no way it was ever damaged) nor was I trying to get money back. I just wanted to replace their product that was defective. I just spent over $700 in one trip and enjoyed every minute of it. This place, although small, has so many home furnishing goods that it's hard to not feel like a little kid in a candy store. I ordered a wall clock from Kirkland's website. When I received it, a week later...it wasn't the size that I had wanted. I called them, and they emailed me a postage paid return label to send back, and get credited back to my account. They didn't tell me that when they credit your account, you won't get the total price back. They take off the shipping cost. Of course she apologized, but didn't offer to give me the remaining amount due back. I will never shop with them again. Poor customer service. Don't get taken by them too. read more
