Five Stars! We've been eating at Kip's Irish Pub for many years, and we have never been disappointed. This most recent visit just confirmed why we keep coming back. We were in a hurry and let our server know - she was fantastic and immediately helped us choose items that would come out quickly. Our food arrived in record time, and we were in and out in about 20 minutes. The pretzel sticks are, by far, the best we've ever had -perfectly warm, soft, and absolutely addictive! The option between dipping in cheese sauce or mustard was the hardest part about eating these. We also loved the hummus platter (it came with some unique and tasty pairings) and the Irish egg rolls, which were delicious. Honestly, we've tried most items on the menu over the years, and everything has been great. (But the pretzels are a must every time!) The wait staff is consistently friendly and attentive, and we really appreciate how genuinely kind everyone is. Kip's is one of those places that gets it right every single time. Long day of travel and just wanted to chill have a beverage and dinner. Had been to Kip's a few years ago when in Minneapolis. Sorry to say not the same as I remember any day it was fabulous before but always decent. Tonight was far from desired service was not very good. I most always set at the bar and did so tonight to be disappointed. Shows signs of potentially a solid Irish pub in a hotel. A month or so ago, 'went to Kip's, to try the Fish an' Chips, Sorry to say, it was a disappointment, . . fried in some vegetable or seed ointment. Beef Tallow, grass fed, please make it so, an' know, we really do wancha. But when we raise a pint, an' wash'er down, Let it be true, "Sláinte!" Give it a whack. fill your pub, with memorable good crack and special good grub. Give the inflammation and the Doc a vacation, let the taste buds dance too. We had such a great time. The staff was nice and the food was decent. It's so bit on the darker side for my liking. We started with the Lucky Leprechaun and Kips Old Fashioned. Starters Pub Pretzels and Irish Spring Rolls which were a great hit! Followed up with our entrees: Fish & Chips, Shepherd's Pie, Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with fries and Boneless Wings with ranch and BBQ sauce. All of the food was decent and we all enjoyed it. The carrots in the Shepherd's Pie were still hard. Our table was wobbly, but our server Christina quickly assisted with fixing it. No other complaints. We stopped by for dinner St. Patrick Day weekend. I was hoping for some food specials but all they had was green beer. I don't love the inside, a bit dingy and loud, but the patio is very nice! The happy hour appetizers were tasty, especially the pretzel sticks and fries. I also like the salad but would probably ask for more dressing next time. Went to Kip's on St. Patrick's Day in the afternoon but it was disappointing. The bar area (which is nice) was full so we were seated in a dingy dining room. Very loud in there with a back beat of some music thumping making it hard to have conversation. Ordered corned beef and cabbage which was very small for $21 but it was good. Drinks were all served in plastic cups. Everything felt a little shabby. Service was a little slow at first but did improve. read more

Review from a first timer trying it out as an early week birthday celebration dinner! Vibe - It's giving upscale bar... I loved the set up and see it being a cool spot for special dinners and football Sundays alike! There were a decent amount of people there on a Tuesday evening, and it seemed like they frequent the place haha. Food - The pretzel appetizer was tasty, really good pretzels! I had the 10oz steak dinner, it was nothing special but good. Would recommend trying one of their more specialty dishes. Service - Friendly & quick. Parking in hotel lot was easy enough. Prices - High. But as I alluded, it makes for a good spot for a more-affordable special occasion dinner, and I think they have a happy hour as well worth taking advantage of! read more

Came here while staying at the hotel for work. Guinness was honestly awesome. Very crisp with great shtick, as you can see in the picture (8.9/10). French onion soup was good, but the bread was under the cheese and very soggy by the time I got to it. I'm a fan of places that put the bread on top so you can dunk it and decide how soggy to let it get (7.1/10). The cod fish was very good and I really enjoyed the tatar sauce /(8.3/10). The fries could've been crispier but I do like the Irish style (6.7/10). Old fashioned was meh (4.3/10). Barman was very nice and attentive. Ambiance is is that of a typical Irish live. Nothing overly cool, but no complaints. read more

Staying at the Marriott and this has been my go to for meals. Their salads are very generous and you can get the food delivered to your room. I have attempted to order from door dash or Uber but I keep coming back to Kips. Give it a try! read more

I stayed at the Courtyard in the Twin Cities area for a work trip recently. It's connected to a Marriott proper and the two hotels share amenities. One of them is a restaurant/bar at the Marriott called Kip's Irish Pub. I was feeling lazy after a 5+ hr car trip and decided to have dinner there. First off, I wasn't expecting the nice decor and theme of the place. Despite being called an Irish Pub, I figured it'd be more bland. But from the nice wood-heavy entrance onward, it was a cool looking place. Waiter was really friendly and attentive. I got a hummus platter for an appetizer as well as a buffalo chicken sandwich. The food wasn't out of this world, but didn't need to be. It was a perfectly good meal after a long trip. I'm playing to stay at this Courtyard regularly for my trips to the area, and I'd have no problem stopping at Kip's again. I'd summarize it was "solid" all around. read more

This place serves some "Irish food," but I wouldn't call it an Irish Pub. The atmosphere is noticeably restaurant attached to a hotel. Our server was very nice and friendly, but it seemed like they were short staffed and struggling a bit. The food came out a bit slow but was hot and good. I am a very fussy picky eater. And an incredibly fussy cocktail drinker. I was hesitant to come here based on the reviews which really seem unfair given I have eaten here both evenings in the past two days. The blackened salmon salad and sweet potato fries were delicious yesterday. The steak salad and shoe string fries were amazing today. The Kip Old fashioned with a big rock clear cube was delightful. Couldn't recommend more. Tom at the bar was friendly helpful and fast with service. I'm so glad I didn't leave the hotel to eat. Would have missed out on this gem. read more

My boyfriend and I went to Kip's for the first time to enjoy drinks and dinner on the patio. Devorah was our server and she was super helpful and personable. She gave us recommendations on what to order, and even went out of her way to give us travel recommendations for our upcoming trip. We (party of 2) were staying at the Courtyard Marriott for a wedding and stopped in Kip's for dinner one night. Initially, the interaction we had with the host made us worried that we might need to change plans. She had greeted us and told us that because there was a large party in the back, we would need to wait 5 minutes to be seated. This wasn't a problem really even though there were several tables open. Then, they seated a family of four before us. Maybe they had a reservation. Either way, we were confused and decided to check-in again with the host. That was when Kelbie noticed us waiting and made efforts to seat us right away. She really turned the situation around for us. She even let us change tables when we saw that the patio was open. She was super attentive, friendly, and warm. We were so happy to have waited it out because she was awesome. We ordered the Irish Honey Tea and the Dubliner Cider. Both were refreshing and light despite having a whiskey base. We also ordered the pub pretzels with cheese and mustard aioli. They were the perfect starter. Then we had a side Caesar salad and split the beef short rib stroganoff. It was all delicious. We ended up sitting on the patio because the weather was great. It made for a really intimate dinner since the patio was essentially empty. Overall, our dinner at Kip's turned out well because of the kindness of Kelbie and the delicious food! read more

I was drugged here. Women, do not come here alone. Someone put a roofie in my drink while i was sitting at the bar. Was hospitalized and tested positive for rohypnol. Horrible, horrible night. Good service, and decent food. For dinner I ordered the walleye in citrus butter sauce, what's broccolini and wild rice. I started with a house salad which was absolutely huge. Throw a little meat on it and it could have been a meal in and of itself. I have never had one before, but I see it on practically every menus of every restaurant I go to in Minnesota. It was an otherwise flavorless Whitefish that took on the flavor of the Citrus better very well. It was lightly seasoned, but moist and Flaky and delicious. The wild rice blend was hard and a little overcooked, but the broccolini was prepared perfectly. I also ordered a Rachel (a Reuben, but with turkey instead of pastrami) with a side salad to take for lunch the next day. Again, the portion of salad could have been a meal in and of itself with a little protein on top. The sandwich was so large that I was only able to eat one half of it. It was a really good sandwich too! The bartender was a sweetheart and even though the bar was full, she was very attentive to the needs of her guests. read more

We arrived to an empty dining room and once seated, waited 20 minutes for someone to come to the table and another 20 for drinks (soft drinks and coffee); all while the staff complained loudly about how a particular diner wanted salmon prepared. We came here for breakfast one morning because it's open early and found out that there is a buffet option, which includes all the basics plus omelets made to order and fresh donuts. They don't have a buffet listed on their website menu, so it was a pleasant surprise. Next time I think I would try the normal menu. I was pretty disappointed with my experience here and wish I had hopped in my car to go grab something to eat instead of eating in the hotel since it was convenient. The hotel is so incredibly nice that I had much higher expectations than what my experience actually turned out to be. I went at an off time (in between lunch & dinner on a weekday). It was just me and two other tables. The gentleman that seated me was very nice. The waitress left much to be desired. She wasn't rude, but she barely even spoke to me or came by to check on me even though I was her only table. Also, when I asked for a straw, she came back carrying an unwrapped straw with her bare hands. I don't know if that was lack of training or what, but I wasn't about to put that straw in my glass. The food was extremely underwhelming. I ordered the turkey burger and it had absolutely no taste even though it had cheese and avocado on it. After a wonderful dine with our client we returned to our Hotel the Minneapolis Marriott West and wandered into the Irish Pub for a night cap. We sat at the edge of the bar and was immediately greeted with the bartender that provide us service swiftly. The wood-paneled pub that also had a patio offered that traditional Irish pub appeal. They had a variety of beers and on occasion that have live bands. My review is based on the casual comfortable ambience of the bar area of the Pub since we had not yet had the pleasure to dine at the restaurant. Parking can be problematic depending on when you visit, as it shares a lot with the Marriott Hotel it is a part of. If you manage, though, this is a very relaxed, chill place to grab some nice food. Had some salad and fish and chips. Fries were good, as was the salad. The walleye fish may have been a mistake due to a sauce, but that could be my own error. The thing that brought me here was the whiskey menu. They have a nice selection of Irish whiskies, more even than some other Irish pubs in the area. Their scotch selection is okay and more than a chain restaurant. What gives this a notch up for the casual visitor, though, are the several flight selections you can choose, comprised of different scotches or Irish whiskies. It's nice to have that in the menu for a decent price. On a side note, though not to be overlooked, is the selection of music. Very chill and unobtrusive. read more

I went here for happy hours/get together with some co workers after work and it was enjoyable. We were given the small room on the right when you first walk in, so we had our own 'cubby' which was perfect when there was about 25 people. We had some servers politely check in with us but not to disturb us but most of us ordered at the bar. Staff was very friendly and helpful! They didn't charge me the happy hour price and fixed it quickly and were great about handling (and most importantly it showed up correct on my bank account immediately). I had the caprese flat bread and it was amazing! I also ordered a Moscato which was perfect! They do have a HUGE selection of beets on tap which made selecting a drink that much more difficult, but personally I prefer taps over bottles/cans. This is the restaurant located in the Mariott hotel in St. Louis Park. I chose to sit indoors because I liked the Irish themed decor. After drink orders were taken, I asked about the items on the newly modified menu. Fish and chips and fish tacos were the selections. Fish tacos weren't the Mexican flair but I still enjoyed the presentation and taste. The fish and chips weren't overly breaded and crisp to the bite. Service was excellent and waters were refilled without request. 5 stars would have been given if this restaurant would have been available for breakfast as they previously were before Covid. read more

We grabbed Kip's curbside tonight & the process was seamless. We called in our order, paid over the phone, and when we arrived they brought the order right out. The Irish spring rolls are always a favorite, packed with good flavor & crunch in every bite. I tried the BBQ Chicken Sandwich as well from their current menu & it was also packed with flavor. The burger is juicy, and in combination with the toppings it does get pretty messy. And the BBQ sauce is a bit spicy - which was a surprise, but didn't ruin the sandwich. read more
