I saw Kioku Supreme Buffett while my wife and I were shopping next door. I wandered in and the price was reasonable and they looked fairly respectable. While having a beer one day at one of the local breweries, we ran into a few other customers who just raved about the food at Kioku. Well, we figured that we ought to try them out. We took our fourteen year old granddaughter who loves sushi and seafood this past Friday evening and we all had a really good time. Now, this is a Buffett so were not expecting four star food but the food here was really very good. They have a very wide selection of Chinese (Fried Rice, Beef and Broccoli, Orange Chicken, ect.) Sushi, Sashimi and Rolls, Cajun Crawfish, Shrimp, King Crab, Mussels, Oysters, Catfish and Salmon to choose from. We tried a little bit of everything, things we liked, things we didn't get or have often and new things we have never tried before. Everything we ate was really, really delicious. We were not expecting this quality of food even if the outside appeared to be a bit questionable. This place was horrible. The crab had a sign that said might have nets in it. The best thing there was the fried chicken I don't go to a Chinese buffet for fried chicken. I asked to speak with a manager but it wasn't a real manager and she could not solve my problem. They said if you wanted to food fresh you should have asked it was my first time and didn't know. They charged more than what I authorized - beware if paying with Cash App I went to Kioku Buffet and paid using Cash App, leaving a fair tip. Later, I noticed they charged me about $8 more than what I approved, without any explanation or notice. Smells like mildew and everything looks improperly refrigerated. Half the food is super tough and feels like it's been sitting under a heat lamp for multiple days. I came in for my birthday and I was put in a dark and musty side room, it smelled so strongly of mildew that I asked to move to the main room, I was able to move but the staff was somewhat rude about it and seemed already fed up with me. They do good Chinese buffet here. There's a good amount of variety and each dish does feel different/taste. I personally really like the plantains - right amount of not too sweet, and got a bit of weight to it, with slight savor, the cornbread cheesecake - sweet, but got a good a thick texture. Their canjun seafood is particularly tasty, a bit spicy. Fan of the fried fish filets too. There's some seafood here with claims, crawfish, shrimp, and a sushi bar. The sushi bar is just ok. They also have ice cream too but only dine in. I like how spacious the sections are spaced out. Service is pretty good. It's in a large circle with plenty of room for others to move around. Lots of variety so you can find something you like. The food is average to most Chinese buffets. Sunday lunch was 18.00. Great find found when looking for an Asian buffet! They have a large selection of foods that out does any other Asian buffets I have found so far in the area! Every anticipated Asian selection of food was available here. The restaurant was really well organized and we'll laid out with four LONG rows of foods to select from in the shape of a square with food preparations in the middle. There's an awesome variety of sushi, Chinese food, Mongolian, American food, salads and a big dessert bar. I would have to guess that there were about 40+ varieties of food available. There was no wait at arrival and we were greeted quickly and seated quickly as well. It's pretty straightforward buffet where you just grab your plates and serve yourself what you want. All of the cooked food was hot and the sushi was cold and fresh. Staff was super friendly and attentive, replacing drinks and taking away old plates. Overall this buffet gets 2 big thumbs up! I have never had food that was so astronomically bad as this place. My boyfriend got food poisoning from this place and we left our date feeling highly disappointed. I don't know how this restaurant has 4.2 stars, and I don't know how they are still open with food like that. All the meat was chewy, everything was room temp and looked like it had been sitting there a WHILE. Not to mention when you walk in it smells like a bait shop (my bad for not turning around immediately). First and last visit for us unfortunately. And we spent $40 for bad food. We found the food to be fresh and good. My husband likes the sesame chicken and I love their hot and sour soup. It's a bit pricey but the servers are nice and there's quite a selection. My wife and I were really hungry and we don't want another wait time in a regular restaurant. Another reason is this is very close to my house. So we decided to try this buffet. The place is quite spacious and the staff are very attentive. The food are great plus they have the Mongolian noodles which my wife and I love. The dishes are acceptable for a buffet dish and they have good other options to choose from. I love their fried octopus tentacles they are soft and lightly battered. The fried blue crabs are kinda old to my taste and texture. I wish they have raw oyster and snow crab legs. The pastries are meh but good thing they have ice cream which I love. Very nice selection and everything we had we enjoyed. The sesame chicken and pork spare ribs are a favorite as well as the egg drop soup. The noodle bar was a nice change and have enjoyed it.
