Our first time here and we do not regret it whatsoever it is one of the best dumpling soups I have had so delicious. Shrimp and pork dumpling soup was made to perfection. My fiancé had the soicy beef noodle bowl It was so flavorful. The meat was tender. The noodles were cooked perfectly The broth was just so flavorful. We live about four hours from here and just wish they had one down the street from us because I would be here all the time. Definitely a place to try goodness gracious it was so good. We came 45 minutes before they and they still treated us very respectfully, very sweet very nice and very attentive super clean restaurant as well. read more

I don't normally give any restaurant a one star, but that is all I can give Dumpling Zone. We were really excited to try this place because I had seen it on social media and had been wanting to check out the Shenandoah location for a while. We walked in and were seated right away, which initially felt promising. However, things went downhill quickly when the waiter came over very flustered, took our drink order, and then completely disappeared for about 40 minutes. We sat there sipping our drinks, watching the restaurant, and waiting for someone to come take our order. No one ever did. It was especially strange because the table we were seated at was one long shared table with only a small 3-inch space separating us from another family of five, which made the whole experience feel awkward and uncomfortable from the start. After nearly 45 minutes, I finally flagged down a female waitress with black hair and blonde streaks and asked if I could just close our tab since no one had come to take our order. She seemed very careless and said "OK sure," then walked over and, in a rude tone, commented that it looked like we only had five drinks. I explained again that no one had taken our order the entire time we had been sitting there. She simply said "OK" with no concern at all. I then asked to speak with a manager. She walked over to a short woman in the back who was making smoothies, and even though I could see her through the glass, she took her time continuing to make drinks before finally coming over. I left cash to cover our drink tab and explained how uncomfortable it was that we had been sitting there for so long without any service or acknowledgment. The manager apologized and said "I'm so sorry ma'am," but that was essentially the end of it. I thanked her and told her we would be going somewhere else to eat, and we left. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience from start to finish, and unfortunately I would not return. read more

The pork and green onion soup dumplings (Xia Long Bao) are the best I've found in the Houston area so far! My first time having them were in Hong Kong and easily just as good! The pork and green onion fried mini buns were very good and I definitely recommend getting those as well. The fried pork dumplings had a good flavor, but I prefer a more fried dumpling (deep fried is best) I definitely recommend this place for your dumpling fix on the north side of Houston, Spring, Woodlands, and Conroe to Huntsville areas. Yelp had sent me a notification that this was a new, hot spot a few weeks back so when a friend wanted Asian for lunch, I immediately remembered this recommendation. The staff was very friendly and had our vegetable spring rolls and fried crab rangoon out quickly. The Spring Rolls were so fresh and crispy. I've never been a big fan of these type of rolls but I would definitely order them again. For our meal we ordered an assortment of items: -colorful pan fried dumpling which is 2 each of shrimp & pork & chive, curry chicken & potato. shrimp paste, bok choy & mushroom. We loved all but the curry ones. I highly recommend this as it's a delicious sample of their dumplings -Pork and shrimp soup dumplings. I had never had anything like this. They were literally like little soups in each dumpling and came out hot as hot and flavorful treats. -Pan Fried Mini Buns - these were ok. The didn't stand out like the other items. I had a hard time not giving them 5 stars but I had an empty water glass at the edge of the table 10-15 minutes and it wasn't filled until someone stopped by to check on us. This place has some work to do. I believe they were overwhelmed with the amount of people in the place. It took us forever to get our food and they forgot a few dishes we ordered. The food portions are tiny and was not tasty at all not to mention overpriced. I have never had peanut sauce that tasted like melted peanut butter. We will not be going back. read more

Considering the restaurant hasn't been open that long, it was surprising that their menu was outdated. Their menu advertises noodle/soups coming with a side, but we were informed by another server (after ordering) that this was no longer accurate. Our serving was very kind and struggling, and in need of more training that was not occurring. Service definitely needs continued improvement as the restaurant continues to solidify their presence. The steamed dumplings were very nicely steamed and came out hot. The spicy beef soup had a solid flavor profile to it. Atmosphere was relaxed, even as more people started showing up later into lunch time. Their sodas as served in a can, and water served from a filtered pitcher, as they do not have a machine. Freshly opened, these folks aim to please. Dumplings of a vast variety all made to order. From steamed to boiled to soup dumplings to a few pan fried options. Something for everyone. The soup dumplings are filled with a substantial broth and are very tasty. Everything we ate was amazing. I went with a colorful variety plate and the only one that won't entice me a second time was the mushroom bok choy option but only because I'm not a fan of bok choy. The chicken curry was unique and packed with flavor. One of our orders was delayed and the owner insisted we have a complimentary order of crab Rangoon to compensate. This is the second time coming and the food is why. We were disappointed this time around due to the male server. My food came out within 10 minutes which was nice I ordered the soup dumplings, (delicious) However my husband order the hibachi plate, we understand it would take longer to cook and when we arrived the restaurant was not at full capacity. To say the food took longer was an understatement. I would've been move understanding if the server would come around to tell us we weren't forgotten about. Instead another server dropped off my husband's food after 30 minutes and afterwards took our payment. Delicious food at this new eatery in Shenandoah. We had the beef noodle soup, crispy chicken and the steamed pork dumplings. Everything was handmade and excellent quality and value; comparable to the dim sum we used to get in SF Chinatown! In addition to the delicious food, the service was great and attentive. Tried Dumpling Zone tonight and everything was so good! We ordered the takoyaki, hibachi steak, hibachi shrimp, chicken fried rice, braised beef noodle soup, spicy beef noodle soup, dumplings, and dessert. The portions were generous, everything tasted fresh, and the flavors were on point. The braised beef noodle soup was one of our favorites- super flavorful with tender beef and plenty of FRESH HANDMADE noodles. And definitely save room for the Chocolate Dumplings! They were such a fun dessert and absolutely worth trying. We had a big group and everyone found something they loved. I had heard bad things about the servers here but decided to give it a try, and it was the most uncomfortable experience we've had. Both young server girls were incredibly condescending. Rolling eyes and whispering to each other while staring. One said that the menu simply wasn't correct and gave no explanation. Food tasted like it was from Costco. We couldn't wait to leave, had to get the manager to give us our bill because the girls wouldn't come back. 2 stars because the manager was nice. Save your money and go to EAD around the corner!
