Must be 48" tall to go down the water slide.
    Kristin W.

I've heard a lot of great things about this pool so my kids and I drove by to see if they would want to check it out and they decided that they wanted to go. Upon seeing the big slide they were pretty much sold. Admission seems to be on the higher end for the community pools in the area ($2 kids, $4 adult) but if you are planning to come frequently you can buy a pass and save some money (10 kids admissions or 5 adult admissions for $15). I initially wanted to buy a couple passes but since we hadn't been here yet I decided to skip it and see how the kids liked it before dropping $30. The facility is meticulously clean. When we entered the locker room the girls oohed and ahhed (they are impressed with restrooms..what can I say?). They have lockers but if you plan on using one you need to bring your own lock. The pool area is very nice. There is a good amount of shade...tables and snack machines are under a canopy and on the opposite side there are lounge chairs under an overhang attached to the building. We were early enough to snag a lounge chair and since I didn't have my own lock I just kept my things near it. I was able to see it from the pool so I felt it was relatively safe. As for the pool itself....eh. There is a kiddie area with a water feature and it's zero depth so it gradually gets deeper. There is a little transition area which connects the kiddie are to the larger pool. The water slide is a tube slide ad looks pretty fun, but you have to be 48" to go down it. My kids aren't that tall so they were pretty upset. There are 4 diving boards which all share the same diving pool, two of which are pretty tall. To go off those you need to be 8 years old and also 48", No goggles allowed on the diving boards (kids upset about this too but got over it). There are a lot of lifeguards and they switch stations frequently (every half hour or so). Soon after we got there I witnessed the manager semi-yell at a mom in the kiddie area with her child because she was in a tank top and soft shorts (not denim). He made a comment that she needed to get out because she wasn't in a bathing suit and he has already talked to her about it. There are signs posted and it's a rule that you need to be in a bathing suit, but as the day went on there were TONS of people in the water with tshirts and shorts on so the policy seemed inconsistently enforced. I'm sure we will continue to go here (Monday's is 50% off 6-8pm for family night) but with all of the other pools in the area, we won't hurry back.

    Kino Aquatic Center, in Mesa.

This aquatic complex in Mesa has a large pool with a water slide for families with kids, a diving area with two 1-meter and two 3-meter diving boards, and an Olympic-size competition pool area. The pools are very clean and well maintained, as are the shower/changing areas. I have experienced using this complex for competition and can say that this is complex is very well suited for serious swim meets, mainly because of the quality of the pools but also because of the presence of ample spectator areas and shade structures.

I really like this facility. We mainly use this facility for their diving program. The pools here are always so clean, and the coaches are excellent. I wish that their shade structure were a bit larger though. During the summer months, some of the seating there can be quite unbearable due to the lack of shade. It is a very small community pool compared to ones located in Chandler and Tempe.

So happy I signed my little one up for swim lessons here, offered though Mesa Parks and Recreations, the price was great. The classes do start promptly at time stated and are 25 minutes. So don't be late! We did two levels, two weeks for each level. Instructors are friendly and attentive. The facility is well maintained and clean.

best place for training trip! Only on day 3 and loving this facility! !

Great pool! Clean, not over crowded, nice staff. My kids love the slide, walk in pool, and high dives. I like the ample shaded area.

Is the pool heated for swim lessons? My daughter starts in 2 weeks and it's still chilly.

This was our third time in six years that we have built a pool with Shasta. What keeps us coming…read moreback is their in floor cleaning system, and the fact that to upgrade the equipment. Also their longevity on business The good- Garrett Dow,the construction manager was the best person as far as communication goes. He always responded to my text and phone calls in a timely manner and he kept the project moving. The trades that he had on our site were always professional and easy to work with. The AI operator was helpful when I couldn't get a response from anyone. I liked their Builder Trend Ap for communication. What needs improvement- project manager didn't respond in a timely manner or not at all. Never picks up the phone. This is the main contact for the project and this added to undue frustration. Good communication is key to any project. It seems it's hard to find good people that have the skills to do this now adays. I will continue to recommend Shasta as they do build a great but just don't expect great communication unless they get better project managers

I would not recommend this company to anybody.

Definitely a must while visiting Scottsdale! The ambiance, the DJ and the set up is great! The only…read moredownside was the pool was freezing (in October) and there is nowhere to sit or stand as all of the areas are reserved. We even tried to get a lounger or table when we arrived but the minimum per person didn't even make sense (I live in Miami and it's less expensive) and the lounge chairs are for hotel guests. Other than the tables having a minimum of $1800, it wasn't that busy so we enjoyed our time at the bar which is located stairway down from pool. Also, before arriving, they had tickets listed $100 online and on another site for $50 and also in ResortPass. Luckily, upon arrival and a group of 8 girls, we were not charged. The drinks were delicious and they had a great cocktail menu! We had an amazing time as it wasn't that crowded and the music was great- would definitely recommend!

Four guys and I were part of the Wet Deck pool party the first Saturday of May. This situation…read morestill frustrates me so I figure writing a review might help others avoid the same situation. We ended up staying offsite and got sucked into a 4k minimum table by the pool because they said we wouldn't get in otherwise. That wasn't the case, guest or not was walking in without any problem. While we thought we could easily meet our minimum, that isn't the case because the service team takes 30 min to bring out drinks. Also, the food takes an hour to come out. Lastly, as a table, you're being forced to pay a 20% tip outside the minimum for mediocre service at best. Avoid paying for a table, it's not worth the stress or $$. I think the W management needs to look for a new company or leadership to run their pool parties. Hope this helps someone to not fall into the same trap.
