The biggest difference was how much stricter everything seems to be now. Anyone under 17 has to take a swimming test just to use the diving boards, which honestly seems a little ridiculous, especially for older kids and teenagers who clearly know how to swim. Even the lazy river has become overly strict. In the past, I've always been able to enter from the exit if I was already right there, but now you absolutely MUST walk around and enter through the designated entrance. I understand having rules for safety, but some of these little things felt unnecessarily rigid and took away from the relaxed, fun atmosphere I remembered. The staff also seemed more annoyed and less friendly than during my previous visit. Nothing terrible happened, but the overall vibe was definitely different. I had such a great experience here two years ago, which is why I was excited to come back with my friends. Unfortunately, this visit just didn't live up to what I remembered. It feels like there are more rules, more restrictions, and a lot less of that easygoing, family-friendly atmosphere that made it so enjoyable before.

They have drained my pool twice to repair it. first, it was a spot sand & polish method, then a complete acid wash and polish and now it's been a year and they have failed to return my calls. Poor craftsmanship and inferior service! In addition to the discoloration, I now have cracks forming due to the lack of proper underfilling of the sand around the pool. This past Saturday, we decided to come visit this aquatic center as suggested by my partner. The place has open aquatic recreation from 1pm -5:30pm and you can either hang out on the recreation pool side with slide and lazy river or hang out on the other side where there is lap swim and a diving pool. Both my partner and I wanted to lap swim, so this review is mainly for that. For residents, the charge is $4/person, a pretty sweet deal to hang out at a pool all afternoon vs. go into downtown Phoenix and pay way more to be in a very crowded pool at a hotel event. Locker rooms were fine, lockers available, and we opted to bring all our stuff close to where we could see it. I had some of my diving gear with me, and lifeguards had no problem with us using our snorkel and fins. You'd think on a 115F afternoon that this place would be packed, and thankfully, it was not. We had no issues with lanes, and at one point, my partner and I had separate lanes for about 20 min! Overall, this was a great experience. We got some relief from our heat wave, got in a decent lap swim session (probably need to swim more, arms aren't completely shot today lol) and the price was really good! We'll definitely be back for more!

Great facility!…read more Chandler is the other side of the Valley from me, but since this year's Tri For The Cure took place at Arrowhead Pool and Park, I was able to check it out today for the event. I loved that it was so easy to get to (just over a mile off of the 101 from the Chandler Blvd exit)... The pool has 8 lanes that are 50 meters in length plus the deep end/diving area (seen in the photo). The facility has plenty of restrooms, changing rooms, etc... and it's located right in the middle of the beautiful Arrowhead Park - it was a fantastic venue for the Triathlon. Despite the event running an hour and a half behind schedule, it was a ton of fun and ran smoothly once we started. We enjoyed watching the youth event - it's amazing how many kids participated! They were so cute! I recommend both the event as well as this facility depending on your goals and where in the Valley you live. Thanks to the City of Chandler for hosting this amazing event, and for all of the volunteers that helped out along the way! Congrats to all of those that competed today as well!

I never knew it was there until I did a search on yelp & the internet for swimming pools. Secondly, this place is HUGE and NOT crowded! Two entirely seperate swimming areas! One for the kids, with zero level entry, a water slide and a lazy river. The "adult" side of the pool is entirely seperate, and Olympic sized! Holy Moly! Diving boards, swimming lanes, a basketball hoop and TONS of room to move around in. This place, for once, has ample seating! Tons of chairs! Never a problem to find a place to lay out here! Covered seating is also available as well. Locker rooms are large and plentiful, with lots of toilets, showers, changing areas and lockers for 25 cents. I will go out of my way to swim here. $2.25 for adults, and kids are much less. Go check this place out!
